Wonderful. This New York style deli made me feel I was back in the Big Apple. The place is divided into two parts; on one side is set up as a regular deli counter where customers can order sliced meats, cheeses, bagels (and they have the largest variety of bagels I've ever seen outside of NY), sandwiches, and more. On the other side is the seat-in restaurant with table service. The place was full, yet the service was fast and friendly. We had the pastrami on rye, which is served with a side of coleslaw and a pickle, and we also tried the sesame seed bagel with chives cream cheese. What a pleasant surprise about ALL aspects of my visit. I did choose Roasters' n Toasters because of the Yelp reviews. Whenever I travel to "New York's 6th Borough" from Sarasota, I am always looking for good food that I'm craving. Also, since the beginning of Covid, I try to stay away from being critical on service. I will though this time get it out of the way and say my service was EXCELLENT!! I got greeted as soon as I walked in the door and didn't even wait 3 minutes before being approached by my server; Myriam. She was awesome, on top of everything and checking back with me whenever she walked past my table. My COMPLETE accolades to her as a GREAT server! Ok, now for the food. I ordered a 'Combo' sandwich of Corned Beef and Pastrami with a side of fries. The meat on my sandwich was warm and piled high!! I wish I had taken note of the waitresses name because I had great service. I really wanted a mocha coffee, she custom made one for me and lovingly poked fun at me for being so fancy:) We ordered a Reuben and the French toast. One of my favorite breakfast/brunch places in Miami! My boyfriend and I enjoy trying new places, but we always come back to Roasters 'N Toasters when we want a guaranteed good breakfast. I like that they are a low key where it's not all about instagram hype, just good food. Their drip coffee is great, eggs are great, bagels are great, latkes are great,basically everything I've tried has been great. My usual order is the nova egg and onion scramble and I appreciate that I can substitute for egg whites and fruit as my side when I'm trying to eat more healthy. One of their popular items is the Kitchen Sink omlette which LITERALLY has everything in it (you have been warned), it has A LOT of cheese so may want to share this one. Metal staples on the food. First time visiting this place. I had the Benedict eggs with Salmon, it was delicious, the service was on point even though they were busy. My waitress was kind, and efficient. I ordered the egg frittata to go and when I was home I found no one but two staples on my food. If it wasn't for this I would give 5 starts but... LOVE Roasters' n Toasters!!! It's a true NY Style deli with a more laid back feel. Amazing service, happy service and exceptional food. While recently back in Miami we went 2 days in a row for breakfast!! I really enjoyed the omelet the first day (loaded with lots of veggies) and a side of yummy breakfast potatoes and on the second day enjoyed the eggs and nova, smoked salmon. My husband had to go to Baptist Hospital during the Corona virus pandemic. They wouldn't let visitors in the hospital, so I had to find something to occupy my time. It was getting close to lunch time and I found this deli that was doing take-out. So, I thought I would give it a try. I ordered a turkey sandwich on rye for take-out. It was a little dry and they didn't give me any utensils to eat my cole slaw. The sandwich has loads of meat. It was dry because I didn't have any condiments to put on it. They really should have put all those things in my bag. The staff was very friendly. I was able to use the rest room facilities which were very clean. That also gave me a chance to wash my hands. So my daughter and visited this restaurant on Father's Day. Although they were busy, there was no one waiting to get a table and there was few tables available. We placed our orders to dine in and the food was great and the service was good considering the number of customers being served. The visible staff also appeared to be adequate. But here was the problem. I asked for 1 lb of chopped liver, 1 lb of lean corned beef and a container of half sour pickles. All to go. Once I got home I opened the bag to put everything away. I see that the container appeared small for 1 lb of chopped liver. It was just over 1/2 pound. When I checked the corned beef, it turned out to be fatty pastrami. Very disappointing. I'm hoping that this was a fluke, but two thing's wrong is not a good sign. I will try again in a couple of weeks. read more

The downhill slide continues. Unfortunately, the only redeeming qualities at RnT are Ivan and the tall guy (don't know his name) who expertly slices the salmon and works hard doing other kitchen functions. The hollandaise sauce used to be the best but on my trip this past weekend, it has suffered much like all of the food items at RnT. The eggs were cooked hard and the hollandaise sauce was watery and ice cold. Hard to believe but even the basic potatoes were cold and mushy. Danny and Pedro built something great and it's unfortunate that the new ownership has ruined that successful formula. About the only thing I would order from there anymore is the salmon bagel breakfast ... ironic that the bagels aren't baked at RnT and all they have to do with the salmon is slicing it. We used to spend @ $7500/year in catering from RnT but that ship has sailed. As a first timer I ended up ordering a bacon, egg and cheese on a bagel. The eggs were fluffy, the bacon was extra crispy, and the bagel was the perfect delivery package to bundle all these ingredients together. I also got an order of Challah bread French toast drenched in Nutella... There isn't enough characters to describe how delicious this is. The bread soaked up all the flavors beautifully and the Nutella was the perfect combination that you didn't know you needed until you took a bite.
