Prices have increased & I wish they had new bagel flavors. Not sure it is worth the drive but a bagel is a bagel!

Quick and delicious breakfast. Small place located in a strip mall. Everything was made on the spot with fresh ingredients. The omelettes and bagels were great! The little potato salad that comes as a side was fresh and delicious. I was just a little disappointed with the salmon, it was tasteless. Also, the outside tables and chairs were not clean. They ran out of napkins while we were there, but they were quickly replenished. Fast and friendly service

One of the BEST salmon bagel in town! The dough is very soft big amount of salmon and also the potato salad is one of the best sides you can choose :)

    Two eggs and bagel breakfast

Went there this week while on staycation. We wanted a good bagel so we thought why not bagel express. Once we got there we thought that they have breakfast so we chose the two egg, bagel and coffee breakfast. Plain breakfast but satisfying. The bagel were handmade therefore they tasted good. They charged a little extra for bagel with cream cheese but that's ok. Customer Service is a little dry but not disrespectful, so I can handle that.

    Classic breakfast!!

This used to be one of my top breakfast destinations during my Miami Dade College years. Decided to grab some breakfast and ordered their smoked salmon platter with wheat bagel. Amazing , got a great portion of the fresh salmon and onions, capers, and chives cream cheese. Family owned and great hidden gem in West Kendall.

Nova Scotia Platter on an everything bagel with a side of potato salad and a pickle.

The Nova Scotia on an everything bagel hit the spot this morning! The pickle is definitely an acquired taste and not one that I personal had. Lol I was too full from the bagel to make it to the potato salad, but I did taste it and it was really good. My husband had the garlic bagel and liked it, but said it was a bit too salty for him. Are you a Dr. Brown's soda pop fans like my husband? They got you cover here with a variety of flavors. The staff was nice and made sure to clean down the outside tables in between guests. We live down the street from this sweet little bagel shop, so we'll definitely be coming back again soon.

Think of Mainzer's Deli as a Bavarian bodega. Sure, you could do a bit of grocery shopping, but…read morelet's be honest, you're here to hunt down oddball snacks and niche sundries you didn't know you needed. Open since the '70s, these Pinecrest pioneers launched their Central European mini‑market as a side hustle, all while earning their keep as classical musicians. That kind of multitasking deserves a drink. Start smart with a refreshment like Almdudler. The closest American parallel is a love child of Dr. Pepper and Sprite, but that sells it short. This Austrian classic is a bit herbal thanks to elderflower and sage, yet snaps with lemon zest, and happily moonlights as a mixer for beer, wine, vodka, and even cold brew. Honorable mentions go to Apfelschorle (apple juice spritz) and the pride of Salzburg's suds, Stiegl blond lager. Whether you believe the lozenge or the tea came first, Ricola Schweizer Kräutertee, an instant herb tea, will knock a cold flat on its back. In my home, it completes an anti‑illness trinity alongside Advil and Vicks VapoRub. Mainzer's also stocks a tight but thoughtful lineup of German personal‑care creams and cosmetics, because sometimes your sinuses and skin are on red alert. The deli slings cold sandwiches stacked with Schinken (ham) or Gelbwurst, a pork‑and‑veal bologna seasoned with ginger, nutmeg, and white pepper that can be customized with lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo, or mustard. Hot subs come piled onto rolls with sauerkraut and mustard. The Brat and Weisswurst lead the sales, but the Double-Smoked BLT remains a point of almost defiant pride for the Mainzer clan. I could keep waxing poetic about all the shelf treasures, but this women‑owned piece of Pinecrest history demands boots on the ground. Dive into the unusually deep selection of chocolates and marzipan, debate the finest ketchup for a currywurst, and boldly snack where few South Floridians have snacked before.

Upon arrival, it was not busy, there was one person waiting on their food, we saw that our orders on the screen, and there was only 3 orders total at the moment. However, we probably waited another 20 mins after. While we waited more people showed up, but our food was not getting done any quicker. People who ordered in person got their order first, and they came in at least 5-10 mins after we arrived. I have worked in the food industry, so I do understand that it gets busy, however when we came in time, it was announced that we were there to pick up the food. Only one employee apologized for how long it was taking. I would have thought that our food was going to be done first. The drinks were alright, we got the lemonade, and half sweet and unsweet tea. We ordered the King Club, Chicken salad Sandwich, Spicy Turkey Melt and the Max Spud. Mind you, these items were all half, so imagine waiting more than 30 mins total from the time we ordered to the time we got the food. The King club was good, the honey mustard added a nice sweetness. The Spicy Turkey melt was mid, I think it could do without the avocado. The Chicken Salad sandwich was good too, I love the little sweetness the cranberries added. The Max spud was also mid. I don't think I'm a baked potato kind of person. The vibes were like as if Panera and TooJays had a baby. Would come back for the food but service could improve.

They put about a pound of lechon (pork) into a footlong Cuban bread roll and press it. It's very special! They have other foods that you can consider. They have combos, known in Miami as a "Completa", that include rice, beans, plantains and the main meat dish. As you'll be able to see in my pictures, today they had Fricase de pollo (chicken fricassee) and carne con papa (beef stew). A combo plate of either one of those will weigh close to 5 lbs. There's a counter with high chairs behind the ordering station. I mostly see people taking it home or eating it in the car.
