Roadrunner pizza is AWESOME! We were really craving a salad and they were FRESH and delicous. So was the meatball sandwich! The one thing we didn't care for were the stuffed jalapenos. I'm conflicted on how to review this. On one hand everything tasted great. On the other, we didn't get exactly what we ordered. My wife called in an order for delivery of 1 large pepperoni pizza & a 5 piece lemon pepper wings, with 1 blue cheese & 1 ranch. The pizza was correct but the wings tasted like mild. We only received ranch. Since we were in a hotel room, we requested they send paper plates & plasticware. The person she spoke with said they didn't have plates, but could send plasticware & napkins. When the delivery guy arrived, I saw plates & napkins, thought they took care of us. I got the gunslinger and it was delivered to the Hilton garden inn within the hr that was estimated. The pizza was thin crust just the way I liked it. I love their calzone pizzas, they are super filling and delicious they also have a calzone stamp card every time you come get a calzone you get a stamp, after so many stamps you will receive a free calzone. I called in to place an order for delivery but they said my house was "too far" and hung up on me. So for that I will take away two stars for my review but calzones ares a must ! read more

Great Food, and a good music selection too! Roadrunner is a unique, and local pizza shop ran by graduated and current NMSU students. It's always good to support local. They have delivery and carry out specials daily and they also have slice combos which is awesome for someone on the go that loves pizza. Another cool thing is that they make their sauce and dough in house, so your pizza is spun out when you order it. Lastly, it's definitely cheaper than dominoes and Pizza Hut, not sure about the other pizza places. read more

When my husband and I have the extra cash, we love to enjoy a large pepperoni pizza from roadrunner's. It's such a treat to be honest! Eddie provides excellent customer service while the shop itself delivers a pie you can't get anywhere else. The cheese melts in your mouth while there's this perfect marriage between the pepperoni (which they never skimp out on!) and the homemade sauce. Our family enjoyed a XL pizza this evening. After my son and his family's flight home to Charlotte, NC was canceled this morning, they returned here to spend an afternoon of watching football, etc. Before they left for their rescheduled flight home this evening, we decided to order a pizza to be delivered. After some research for a pizza place that delivered, we decided to give Roadrunner a try. We were not disappointed. The worst place to purchase from in this time. The two employees that both helped me did not wear masks behind the counter (nm COVID order requires employees have to wear masks at all times). That on top of totally forgetting the order I placed via phone call and making me wait 10 plus minutes for a side that was suppose to be ready before. After a long day of doing housework my husband and I were looking for a pizza place that delivered. Since we are new to LC we were looking for new places to try that aren't the large chains you can find in any city. We ran across Roadrunner Pizza and their pizzas looked pretty good and they were cheap so we figured we would give them a try. I found it odd, but enjoyed their prices are for one topping, unlimited toppings, or for specialty pizzas . This being said, we decided to go with the unlimited and load the pizza up with veggies. They have a decent selection of toppings, including more veggies than other places-- eggplants and spinach are not often on other menus. Once we got the pizza it looked great and had a pretty thick crust just how we like it. The pizza itself was mostly good. My only complaint is that the middle of the pizza needed to be thicker to stand up to all the ingredients that were on top so it was a little difficult to eat. I did really like that they seem to put a bit of garlic salt on the crust of the pizza to make it even tastier. The veggies weren't over cooked at all and it was nice that some even still had a bit of a crunch to them. Next time I really want to try their Pesto Harvest Pizza . Also, the service was great. We called and put in the order and I guess our house is out of their normal service range, but because they were slow, they delivered it to us anyway. Can't beat good customer service. On our way through town we ended up odd the beaten path by accident and I just picked this place out of frustration of driving around town. The staff was very friendly. I walked in with my two girls, 7month old and 2.5 yr old. I was politely led back to the bathroom which is in the very far back, probably not for public but they let me use it which was awesome. For 12 bux we got 4 slices 6 wings and a salad. Awesome. And the pizza was pretty damn good and I'm pretty sure it was made fresh. All in all it was a great quick little pizza joint!! read more

I'm not a big fan of their pizza but there calzones are great. Perfect amount of dough and they don't skimp on the fillings. Some pizza places put pizza sauce in their calzones but they don't unless you tell them too. Makes for a less soggy calzone. CONSISTENCY, CONSISTENCY....IT IS AN ISSUE! Roadrunner Pizza is essentially a take out place even though they have a couple tables and chairs in their waiting area. It services the University area and students like it. The guys who work there seem to have a "devil- may-care" attitude about their business and I can't say I have been thrilled with the experience. Service can be perfunctory. But, we'll leave it at that. Primarily they offer pizza and wings. They do serve pizza by the slice as well as whole pies. Some of their daily specials are really a good deal....worth considering. I feel that Roadrunner does have a problem with consistency, meaning, the pizzas are not always what they should be. But, when they're on they're on. My most recent pizza from Roadrunner was quite good with a fresh and flavorful dough. The pizza did have a lot of oil on it, but it was an enjoyable pizza. I was able to fold it up and eat it New York Style. There is no real dining experience here but usually the Roadrunner pizzas are above average for around these parts. I do like them. If someone tells you that these pizzas are the greatest on earth or that they are tops in the city, well, they are not. But, I would say, on average, the Roadrunner pizza is in the top four or five around town.....when they're on. I have never tried the wings considering that the Wing Stop is right next door. read more

I decided to try this pizza place before finals. I ordered the two slices and 5 wing combo for $6. The pizza was mediocre at best. It tasted like a bake at home type pizza. The wings were small compared to the pictures hanging up in the restaurant. I guess the price reflects the quality. It was good but I wouldn't get the burnt to a crisp wings again. And it doesn't help when you hear the guys in the back kitchen exclaim "oops" then "ten second rule" after you ordered your wings. Not too bad, but not great. read more

I ordered the BBQ chick pizza on 11/11/13 and an hour later I was puking my brains out from both ends. I went to the hospital 12 hours later with severe dehydration, I had to be hooked up to an IV. Turns out I had FOOD POISONING! I loved RR pizza and have never had a problem before, but I just got my lab results back and this was no stomach flu. I love it!! I've had so much pizza from this town, but this definitely competes for #1. The customer service was astounding. They were so nice, genuine and fast! Literally the best. And when he said my pizza was only $1.50, I was shocked! With all fresh ingredients and hand-tossed dough, the price sounded like a mistake! But it wasn't. Finally I got to sit and eat my slice of Hawaiian pizza. Beside the green peppers (which I don't really like anyway) it was delicious. The only reason this place is missing a star is due to their beverage situation. You have to get your drinks from one of those coin soda dispensers (the real name is eluding me for some reason).
