I received my driving permit back in May 2019. I was eager to begin a whole new experience in my…read morelife. The next step in my driving journey was to find a good driving school that would not only help me gain experience in driving but for the instructors to also have fun with the students while driving at the same time. That's when my Dad stumbled upon A-Hero Driving School. At first glance on the website, I already knew that it was a good school so I agreed on letting my Dad sign me up for this school. It turned out that we were right the whole time. A-Hero Driving School consists of instructors that will correct you on the spot whenever you make a mistake, give you useful tips for different scenarios in driving, provide quality training practice, and have fun with you during your lesson. Making mistakes while driving is normal, especially if the person is a new and young driver who just received his/her permit. Exposing those mistakes and correcting them on the spot is critical for future driving as it helps to prevent those same mistakes from happening again in the future. A-Hero Driving School does just that. Its instructors will pay close attention to how you drive and will spot any mistakes you make while on the road. They will then proceed to advise you on those mistakes and give you tips on how to correct the mistakes. This will help to improve the driving skills of the new driver and help them to become a safer driver in the future. In addition to correcting mistakes, the instructors of A-Hero Driving School also give tips and tricks along with the rules for different scenarios of driving, especially if you are a first-time driver. This will prove to be very useful for the driver as it helps him/her develop the skills necessary to be a safe driver on the roads. It will also allow the new driver to make the most of the roads in order to get to his/her destination quickly. Not only will the instructors give you tips and tricks, but they will also allow you to ask any clarifying questions and will not get frustrated even if you have a lot of questions to ask. They make you feel safe about driving and will adapt to how you learn in order to provide a more effective lesson. Quality is better than quantity. That's my model for everything I associate with. A-Hero Driving School provides students with high-quality lessons that allow for a safe and comfortable driver. They restrict their instructors to a maximum of only three 2-hour classes a day. This ensures that the instructor doesn't get bored or less alert from teaching too many lessons in a day and provide a lower-quality training session later in the day. The school also makes sure that an instructor is not over-booked in order to prevent the instructor from getting stressed out during a regular driving lesson. Sometimes, students might need a different method of teaching if they have conditions like dyslexia. The instructors of A-Hero Driving School will happily adapt to make sure those students can properly learn the rules of the road. These examples show that they take high-quality classes very seriously and are eager to engage with the student in order to effectively teach them the rules and tips of driving. In life, it is crucial for a person to have a perfect balance between work and fun. Having fun is important as it can help boost a person's focus and judgment and allow them to learn better. The instructors at A-Hero Driving School are not only there to teach the students about the rules of driving, but they are also there to have fun and meaningful talks to students and engage them in conversations about different subjects not related to driving. This prevents the students from getting bored and not being able to take in the material being taught to them when serious matters come around. The instructors are also very thoughtful of the students. They take the casual conversations with students to heart and enjoys talking to students about the things they enjoy. My instructor, Instructor Sabaoon Rahimi, knew that I had a passion for aviation and wanted to become an airline pilot when I am older. So, after a few driving lessons, he bought me a model airplane as a present because he knew I love having those airplanes around my house. The airplane didn't cost too much but it was the thought that counts and for that, I am really grateful. Overall, A-Hero Driving School is the best driving school that money can buy. They make sure that the students receive the lessons that they need in order to drive and ensure that the students understand the material being taught. They also make sure the instructors are in their best condition in order to make sure that they stay focused during the lesson and that lessons are given at the highest quality possible. At the same time, the instructors are devoted to the lesson making sure that the student takes in a lot of the material being taught by having fun with the student to ensure a good balance.

More recently we signed him up for their Drive Test Package which included a 1-hour pre-drivers test lesson with an experienced ex-DMV examiner and followed by a successful driving test at the DMV. Our first interaction with A-Z Driving School was with Erin, she was very helpful and thoroughly went over all the options of service they provide. The prices are fair, they offer continuously flexible session times, and their cars are clean and recent models. A-Z's driving instructors are professional, patient and exude great communication and experience to teach effectively. We'd like to extend special thanks to Erin, Dillion and Anita. They helped us through this necessary but stressful life event and are terrific people.

His first lesson was with Natalie. She was great. He was very nervous and she helped ease his nerves. After the lesson, she had wrote down the areas he needed to focus on. His next two lessons were with Steve, who was very professional and got him on the freeway and helped him with preparing for the exam including backing up. A few months later, we got two more lessons (4 hours). Erin again was a great help in helping schedule. He had another lesson with Steve. He also had another instructor Katie, also professional and helped him with parking and other areas he requested more practice with. My son passed his driving exam today on the first try. The foundations provided to him definitely helped. I've recommended A-Z to other parents looking for lessons.

I highly recommend Micaela to anyone looking for a driving instructor!…read more When I started taking lessons with her, I was basically returning to driving after a 20-year break -- and on top of that, I had to learn how to drive confidently and safely in the U.S. Micaela made the whole process so much easier than I expected. She is incredibly patient, calm, supportive, and very easy to feel comfortable with. She explained things in a way that finally made sense to me and taught me skills that other instructors had not been able to teach me. Parallel parking is a perfect example -- Micaela showed me a simple technique, and in a surprisingly short time, I was able to do it confidently on my own. Another huge advantage is that Micaela speaks Russian in addition to English and Spanish. For Russian-speaking students who are new to driving in the U.S., this can be especially helpful. It didn't take us long to get me comfortable behind the wheel and prepared for driving in America after such a long break. I'm truly grateful to Micaela for her patience, encouragement, and professionalism. If you're nervous about driving, haven't driven in years, or are new to the U.S., I would absolutely recommend taking lessons with Micaela. She is a wonderful instructor!

I explained that their email was misleading, it didn't say anything about needing to order it. The only option was for me to pay them $40 to express mail it. Wasn't happy with this as I felt I got swindled, but I paid it. 2. My son didn't pass his first permit test so I had to cancel the behind the wheel that I had previously booked. I canceled right away in the DMV parking lot with 24 hour notice. They tried to charge me $189 for the cancellation! The reason I booked the lesson before him passing the test was because their availability is very poor. I didn't want my son to wait several weeks to get behind the wheel once he passed the test and the day after his test was their only availability for weeks, so I had to take it. I'm cancelling the 6 hour driving lessons and going with a local company down the street that has better availability and better customer service. I'm not giving this company any more of my money. I will update this review once the refund is processed.

We were willing to pay additional funds to help our daughter competently manage the responsibility of a car. We paid for 82 hours of lessons beginning 6/18/25 to 10/18/25. All of our payments were made directly by request to Mack (real name: Mohsen Khaziri) and not Beverly Driving School. The number on his website is his cell phone. Mohsen was aware our daughter had learning disabilities and we were convinced he had the training and skills to help someone like her. Knowing that he was a father gave us even more confidence that she would get the security she needed. And the fact that we invested a significant sum of money is a testimony to our commitment to get her the help she needed. On our initiative, my wife and I did ride-alongs with Mack and our daughter because we put our trust in him as a professional. When our daughter started giving us feedback that her motivation for continuing was lacking, we didn't take it too seriously since it's been a challenge for her to stick with things. Later, we realized the discomfort wasn't the process but was with Mack. Our daughter told us she was touched inappropriately on multiple occasions. He repeatedly asked to meet with her outside of lessons and requested it be kept secret. I confronted Mack by phone on 10/18/25 and after asking directly, he acknowledged viewing pictures of her on her phone. I also asked him directly about touching her thigh and he said yes - apparently because she moved her seat too far forward. Lastly, I asked him if he had ever behaved inappropriately and he denied it. He did not apologize for any of this but changed the subject to her upcoming driving test. My wife and I have taken further steps with the police about this. We filed police report P25-291-0621 with SJPD Officer D. Tran #5131. He took advantage of a person with learning disabilities and it doesn't matter what age. It was one of the most deplorable things one can do. It was done from a position of immaturity and he could have told us this was going on but he didn't say a word. We do not want this behavior to be repeated with anyone else. In addition, at the end of summer, Mack also asked us for a significant cash advance because he "needed it". We refused. I also repeatedly asked for billing statements and after repeated entreaties, received a hastily typed word document. I'm still waiting for a summarized statement of our lessons.

He is probably the best instructor in the Bay Area, and he will get you confidently driving in no time! I did 9 lessons with Alan over a period of 1 month, and he took me from being not very confident (after trying out three lessons a different instructor) to passing my test and driving well on the freeway! This was done with zero practice in between lessons. Alan is extremely professional, is always on time, and delivers same day feedback. He also tailors his teaching style to the student's learning style, and is keen on understanding his students' thought process if mistakes are made, so they can be properly fixed. For every single weakness I had in my driving, Alan had a strategy to fix it - this included fixing my turning speed, correctly using my mirrors, lane positioning and keeping the wheel straight. He is adept at observing to see exactly what the student is doing wrong and coming up with a formula to correct it. Additionally, he is extremely professional. He was always punctual and polite, never raised his voice and never did anything that diminished my confidence in any way as a student who was initially struggling. I have always had some anxiety about driving, but I actually looked forward to my lessons because I started to enjoy driving as I could feel myself improving. On the day of the lesson, he made sure that I was confident and encouraged me not to feel anxious, and I was happy to pass on my first try.
