I had a great experience with Kuljit. She is very kind, patient, and extremely knowledgeable about everything the DMV examiner looks for during the driving test. She knows all the common test routes and prepares you really well for the actual exam. I took my driving test at the Santa Clara DMV, and thanks to her guidance and practice, I passed on my first attempt. She explains things clearly and makes you feel confident behind the wheel. I highly recommend Kuljit to anyone looking for a reliable and experienced driving instructor. read more

Kuljit Driving Training - Behind the wheel test passed - Driving Schools Near Me - San Jose, California

Good instructor and patient, but it's clear she just wants your money. I told her I have taken a few lessons before but she told me I must take four lessons with her to take the first test. She is telling me to give her nearly $500 when I already took lessons with other instructors which cost me this much. I wouldn't have minded paying that much if I failed the first attempt on my driving test. I tried to negotiate and say if I can take two lessons first, take the test and if I fail I can give her the results and we can go from there, but she refuses. Her answer was that she could not afford any accidents in her car. That is why you have the DMV instructor next to you before you can cause an accident lol. Look elsewhere if you are somewhat experienced because she will not take in students who just want two lessons. EDIT TO REPLY: Oh my, that's why insurance takes care of it, something I have. And if you were not comfortable of me using your car if I did not have "confidence" then I did not have to use your car, something you guys also did not communicate to me. Theres a lot of holes in this conversation but I will not bother. Have a good rest of your day. read more

Best driving school ever. I would probably recommend everyone to take their class, especially if you have a fear of driving. Amarjit is very patient and makes sure that you can drive safely and defensively, he always repeats the same things in every class to make sure that you don't commit the same mistakes again. By far this is the best driving school imo, I tried many terribles driving schools and I really regret that I did not take his class sooner. read more

Dont waste your time. I took a couple classes from kuljit as i found it to be highly rated. The 1st day when she arrived she began speaking in Hindi (assuming I will know the language) and she made a silly comment when i told her i dont speak Hindi. She made me feel bad each time I made a mistake (we all make mistake as beginners) but she said "See, I noticed it..(taking pride) otherwise you might have caused an accident " She loved to show off that they have been here for 17 years and said irrelevant things about her family her brand new car. I saw a maintenance required indication in her car and asked her about it and she got upset n said "we leeev in America, 17 years" When i asked her about what distance should i keep from the car in front of me when i am stopped at a signal she said i must be able to see the car's license plate. WHICH IS WRONG!! my new instructor said that i must be able to see full tires of the car ahead of me so that if it breaks down, i'l have enough space to turn around that car. After 2 sessions i dint want to go back to her. I found another highly rated school which was way more organized. The instructors there were so good and honestly had no time to "gossip" as they were continuously giving instructions to look left n right, full tires during stop and so on. They also emailed me notes and were very very methodical that i passed my drive test on my 1st attempt. If u want average instructions and want the cheapest sessions, go to Kuljit. read more

Liked their service a lot. I took my classes with Amarjit couple of times. He is a very good instructor and really knows the tricks and rules need to pass the test. I am happy with the service and wish the best for them. read more

Both my teenage kids took lessons from Amarjit and both passed the DMV test on the first attempt. My daughter remarked that he is very patient. He gives good tips for safe driving, knows what is expected in the DMV test and makes sure he goes through it during the lessons. He's punctual for driving lessons and never cancelled or had to re-schedule at the last minute. We also used his services (and car) for taking the test at the DMV. Extra peace of mind and save parents from the hassle and stress. Money well spent! read more

10/06/2016-My wife had signed up to learn driving from here and took one class and registered for another class. Unfortunately she fell sick the previous night with flu and was in pretty bad condition so she messaged ( As it was pretty late in the night around 12 ) explaining that she is sick and will not be able to make it for driving tomorrow. The response was pretty hasty, unprofessional and insensitive about someone being sick. He was rude in his reply saying "See the time you are informing, I have many people waiting for me. Thanks for wasting my time". I understand it was late notification but he could have just said he cant cancel and we had to pay so that it was handled professionally and we would have paid him because i understand it was unexpected for both the parties. I would advice everyone against working with someone who is so unprofessional and hasty. Update after comment below: 10/08/2016- The insensitivity in the comment clearly shows how unprofessional this person is. If someone does not want to attend ( Let it be any case but in this case was coz of a spiking fever ) then if you want to not cancel then you ask for payment or you cancel without one which is as simple as that. There is no need to question why someone felt sick so late night or speak sarcastically over messages. Yes money was offered and she was being sarcastic in response to the rude messages he was sending. The above message the business has put clearly accepts they behaved unprofessionally and I once again strongly recommend no one to take up any classes here. You need an instructor with patience when you or your loved one is on road learning. I am sure Mr. Amarjit will have a lot to say after this which will only show how the business treats its customers. read more

I took 2 classes with Kuljit who is an extremely nice lady. She explained all the traffic rules patiently and corrected my mistakes whilst I was driving. If the mistake needed a written explanation, she asked me to pull over safely and drew diagrams to make me understand so, I don't repeat it over again. I looked forward to our practice sessions as I learnt something new every time. She not only prepares you to pass the DMV behind the wheel test but, also drive safely in future which is important. She was prompt, on the dot and easy to schedule classes via text. AJ assisted me for my DMV test and he was helpful, answered my questions and helped me pass my test. I highly recommend the couple. Kuljit is a great instructor. She is very patient, responsible and punctual. On my first lesson with her she could predict the number of lessons I'd need to get ready for the test, which really helped. She knows exactly what DMV examiners are looking for, which is probably why I passed at the first attempt! Make sure to book your dates early with her because she has very high demand and is almost always fully booked. read more

Highly recommended! Amazing training provided by Amarjit. He is very patient and gives perfect tips to drive confidently and pass the test. He explains every traffic rule and gives enough practice to drive safely following the rules. I had a great learning experience and was able to pass the test at Santa Clara DMV on the first attempt. Excellent training! Thank you so much, Amarjit! read more

I did 2 classes with Kuljit (2 hours each) and then took the test with Amarjit at Santa Clara dmv. They were both very good trainers and helped me to understand different situations you might encounter while driving and specifically behind the wheel driving test. If there is something specific that you are not confident about, they give you the required practice to make you confident. They explain why any error is critical and practice enough on it until you get it right. Very polite, kind, punctual people- highly recommend. read more

AJ is both an amazing driving instructor and person! As a teen driver, I felt extremely safe and comfortable with him to guide me with everything I needed to know in order to pass my driving test. He is not only extremely patient and understanding of mistakes, but also incredibly knowledgable about the test, as well as even the demeanor of the people that work at each DMV! I just took my test earlier today for the first time and passed and couldn't have done it without him! read more

Great teacher!!! I didn't personally ride with him, it was my 20-year-old son who received one 2-hour lesson about a month ago. With that one lesson, and about 2 months of practice with myself, my son passed his behind-the-wheel driving lesson the FIRST time, with 0 errors! I'm not a great driving teacher, and he's only been practicing for about 2 months. So I have to give a lot of credit to Kuljit Driving Training. The teacher went through what was on the test, focusing on what it takes to pass. Judging purely by results, I recommend this Driving School highly. (The $90 / 2-hour fee is a nice bonus too) Thanks to Kuljit, my son can go back to college with a CA Drivers License. :-) read more

I took classes with both Kuljit and Amarjeet and both were amazing teachers! They were patient, nice, and very thoroughly knew what the DMV was looking for in the behind the wheel test. I was asking all my friends about which driving instructors they learned from but ended up finding out about Kuljit driving school on my own and it was a great find indeed! I got a lot more confidence in my driving after my class sessions and after just 2 classes, I was good to go! I I had my driving test yesterday and passed on my first try!!! I've recommended this to my friend and will recommend everyone here too! read more

I learnt my car driving from Amarjit. Must say he is the best in the bay area. Is punctual, provides valuable inputs, corrects your mistakes and make sure to provide all the details required to pass the test and thorough driving. He is very patient and kind. Also make sure that you are comfortable behind the wheels. 10/10 stars for Amarjit. read more

With previous driving training and two lessons with Amarjit, I failed the test at Santa Teresa DMV once and passed the second time. I used Amarjit's car for both tests. Amarjit had some communication issues and neglected to respond to some of my texts, but he accommodated my second driving test on short notice. And he was very straightforward and encouraging as an instructor. He was able to take me along the driving test route before I took the test. Just make sure to keep contacting him if you don't get an answer! read more

The instructor is not reliable. She collected payment for a class, and then stopped responding to calls and messages. She came across as very unprofessional, and I would simply recommend looking for other reliable teachers. read more

Amarjit is so amazing! Very patient, explains everything in detail and calmly! It was such an amazing experience learning from him! It's very reassuring knowing that he has a 95% rate of passing. I heard about this driving school from one of my friend. My wife took two (2hour) sessions before going to behind the wheel test. Amarjeet is very professional in training. He not only concentrated on 'just passing' exam. He also pointed out lot of 'good' driving practices as well throughout the class. I would definitely recommend this school. BTW, my wife passed BWT in first attempt itself. read more

I had Amarjit for instructing my teenager for her Drive test just past month and I am very impressed to say the least with his training. My daughter learned in just 3 classes and the following week passed her Drive test in her first attempt. Amarjit is very calm and patient with his students. He is always sharp on time for his appointments. I felt confident sending my daughter with him as he is a gentleman. Most importantly my daughter learned driving the right way and developed confidence in her skills on the road. Thanks Amarjit once more for getting us through this important milestone. read more

To be quite honest, I had the most patient and also knowlegeable instructor that I've had since I started doing driving lessons. I can also admit that Kuljit's price range is affordable. I will recommend this to all people that are looking for an instructor that will guide you to succeed in your driving experience. I only had two 2-hour lessons with Kuljit and I definitely learned so much with those time that she was with me. The most ultimate satusfaction was that I passed my driving exam and got my license. Thank you Kuljit for all your help. read more
