Road Trip, owner, Warren Keely, delivered the kind of enthusiastic, caring and expert personalized service that made our trip and stay at the beach this summer inexpensive and nothing but FUN from beginning to end. I'd never towed anything larger than a ski boat behind my pick up before and Warren clearly specified the few items I'd need installed for a safe comfortable driving. He patiently shared tips and tricks in a walk -through of every step of hooking, unhooking and setting up once we'd arrive and buttoning up again for our return. A complete tour and explanation of the systems and features onboard the trailer itself followed. As a result, I hit the road feeling confident and secure that I knew what I was doing and going to do once we got there. There were no surprises but good ones! The Rockwood Roo we towed was a hybrid RV trailer combining the best of camping with the luxuries and comfort of a full-on trailer in a compact package. The Roo has three queen-sized pods pop-outs with canvas walls that can be unzipped for great ventilation and the open feeling of tent camping (in the comfort of a bed) or zipped-up for privacy and the relief of first-rate air conditioning if desired. We were graced with great weather and only zipped up and ran the amazingly effective A/C one night. The Roo provided great space, a sound system, bathroom with shower and a galley with stove, sink and good sized refrigerator. The trailer was spotlessly maintained and everything worked flawlessly. It rivaled virtually any hotel accommodation and was a fraction of the price. Our return was fast and easy and we left with the certainty that we'd made a new friend in Warren and had found a wonderful new way to vacation. I am a first time camper owner. I looked at many RV dealers in Virginia and ended up purchasing an A-Liner from Road Trip Camping for numerous reasons. First of all the sale aspect is low pressure. Warren answers questions via email or phone promptly and thoroughly, but you never feel the pressure or intensity of some high volume dealers who are only interested in a sale. Warren isn't focused on making a sale, he truly wants you to have good camping experiences. Second, the price was the best I could find, even when looking within a 500 mile radius. Finally his patience is that of a saint.."Hi Warren, can I bring my dogs to see if they do OK in a camper" (yes, of course); "I have no idea about hitches, can you help me decide? "(yes, of course) and so the conversations continued. As a novice RV owner it was essential that I had someone who understood my interest and anxiety, and was incredibly knowledgable and patient. I picked up my camper yesterday with a long (3-4 hour) orientation about every aspect of the trailer. Warren is very comprehensive and thorough. I came away feeling well informed and much more secure. One additional caveat. When I was driving home I got an error message on my brake controller indicating a short. I emailed Warren when I was home. He responded promptly, offered to look at my camper in the morning. Turns out it was the installation of my brake controller on the car that was faulty. Warren helped identify the problem and corrected it so I could drive home safely (with brakes) and I then I contacted the folks who installed the brake controller. Nice, relatively short drive through beautiful Va. farm country to get to Road Trip Cmp. Then, surprised by variety of roomy, light weight campers @ various prices; found several that fit my senior citizen budget and my Jeep's towing specs. Warren and Mike treat you the same way whatever you want to spend. They don't try to talk you into spending more. They share their knowledge without lecturing or like their geniuses and you're an idiot. Unparalleled customer service! If you are at all interested in the Taxa line of campers (or other small recreation vehicles), Warren is your guy. We actually bought a used Cricket elsewhere, but Warren has been incredibly helpful in getting this camper road ready and safe. He's answered dozens of emails and arranged his schedule around ours to do some repair work super quickly while we were in the area. We bought an ALiner Ranger, pop-up trailer from Warner. Warner went above and beyond to help us. Warner is the most knowledgeable salesman I have ever met. He knew his products and spent the time to ensure we understood how to set up and operate everything about our new camper trailer. He even stood by us when the quick fix to change our towing hook up from a four to seven prong and hook up the electric brakes took much longer than expected.
