My family and I rented the Class A RV for our month long cross country trip. The RV was incredibly clean and it was the perfect size motorhome for our family (2 adults,3kids)- we loved the slide out feature which was so nice to have more room in the evenings when the rv was parked at the rv park. It was our very first time renting a motorhome and my husbands very first time driving one. We had some issues with the rv that we addressed to the help center hotline (which they helped resolve)and to the manager when we dropped off the RV. The manager really empathized with us on the issues we had with the RV and provided great customer service to make things right. Definitely would recommend RoadBear RV to those looking to rent a clean and nice RV, especially at this location where the manager provides excellent customer service!

We rented a 26 feet RV from Road Bear RV and we absolutely loved it. This was first our time renting an RV, so we didn't know what to expect. The RV was brand new with only 6600 miles on it and in immaculate condition. We had group of 4 adults and 2 children on a weekend trip and it worked out just fine. My husband and brother are both tall men over 6 feet, so they couldn't utilize the shower but they were able to utilize the bathroom. It was very much expected (because of their heights) that they wouldn't be able to use the shower so that wasn't a big deal. My husband is very picky and he was very impressed. The San Leandro/San Francisco Bear RV location is a very nice and clean facility. The customer service was good also, the staff seems to be organized and they have a good system going in order to get their customers in & out in a timely fashion. Keep up the Good work! We will be returning and recommending your company to others!

LOVED our camper! And we were able to use our bike hitch too with no problem.

We checked out van, had many cosmetic errors but nothing else was wrong with it. We made it the two weeks without any problems. The fridge would only keep out food cold half of the time but we were also traveling along the PNW in the winter and the fridge ran off solar panels so I believe it was just due to lack of power. More than enough propane for cooking every meal, only needed to fill up the water tank once halfway on the trip. Overall, a great budget van. Staff seemed to be helpful when needed and the van got us there and back without any major issues. If you're looking for the luxurious van life experience this isn't the vehicle for you. I also didn't want to rent one of those old RV's with the terrible interiors (you know what I'm talking about) EXPERIENCE Me, the husband, and our dog had a great adventure! He got to do his camping and I got to "glamp" , sleep in a real bed, and take a real shower. The interior was AMAZING, like a hotel room. Also, they stocked it with everything, like a hotel! (sheets, silk filled blankets, pots, pans, toaster, coffee bean grinder!, knife sharpener, wood, chairs, tables, foil, cooking spray, hair dryer..etc..)literally anything you might need, not just the essentials. Our majestic moving toilet was easy to drive, park, and gave us access to views we'd never see in a regular car. With the RV we could get up at the crack of down, drive to a spot in our jammies, watch the sunrise and make breakfast in front of the lake before the crowds arrive. OWNERS Derek and Conrad were the 2nd best part (besides the RV itself), they were always available on the phone when we didn't know how to use something. PRICING Their price is all inclusive, so even though it seems more expensive then like Rent America RV's , in the end its worth it! . There is a deposit on top of the price as well, and though we broke a door and antenna, the repair was only $50 bucks. They are so honest and will not nickle and dime you or charge for BS things (unlike apartment deposits) TLDR - more expensive , but price is all inclusive, unlike other rentals! - the RV's are stocked with EVERYTHING ( you just need to come with your clothes) - RV's are modern and true definition of "glamping" - Derek and Conrad are fantastic host and will ensure you have an amazing time! If you're thinking about it, stop. Just do it! You won't regret it.

I tried to work with the owner to rectify some incorrect charges and I was accused of having a learning disability. SMGDH The story goes like this: I recently booked a trip with Trekker Vans and it was, by far and away, the worst vehicle rental experience I have ever had. I returned the van in a perfectly fine condition (see attached photos), and with a full tank of gas, but was charged $100 in cleaning fees and fuel. The rental agreement stipulates that the van not be returned "excessively dirty" which I later realized was code for "Trekker Vans wants you to return it spotless, and will nickel and time you at their discretion." The gas tank was also full when I dropped it off, so I really have no idea where the fuel charge came from. I tried working with Nate to find an amicable solution but that simply did not work. He was myopically focused on proving his point versus hearing me out. I ultimately had to end the conversation when he accused me of having a learning disability. At that point, I realized there was no hope of being treated with any form of respect. If you want to be ripped off, talked down to, and insulted then go with Trekker Vans. Otherwise, go literally anywhere else.

Most of their business is European and Australian (it's an Australian business) but I'm a local looking to try something new. So I came by on a weekend in mid summer to look at the campers and they were all in excellent condition. They say they get new campers every year and sell them at the end of the season. I then went online and set up a reservation and paid a small deposit. When winter came around we showed up with all our gear and it took about an hour to sign the documents and get our walk through. The 22' camper had more than enough room for the two of us and appeared to be in excellent condition. The camper had a trailer hitch so I could attach the bike rack. Also included TV, sink, toilet, shower, heater, usb for your iPhone. The rig takes a little getting used to but you get used to it. Drove 200 miles the first day and that used about 1/2 tank of gas or about 28 gallons. At the time that cost $77 ($2.69 per gallon) so you do the math. 14 days later, had a great trip through the Western Parks: Tahoe, Great Basin, Bryce, Zion, Vegas (ok, not technically a park), Mojave Preserve, and Death Valley.

They only have one person working on Sunday so I waited over 2.5hrs to make my return. Waited outside their gate for 40mins. Another rented was already waiting. The only person there takes 45mins to do his return inspection. After waiting for near an hour the renters in front of me finally got escorted off the property. Upon inspecting my rentals he pointed out a scratch on my jetski rental. The scratch was pretty superficial. The seadoo sparks are made mostly out of plastic and polytec unlike traditional jetskis that are made of mostly fiberglass. Fiberglass damage needs repairs to prevent more damage to the surrounding fiberglass, however, the plastic and polytec damage does not need to be repaired. The small scratch was the size of a pinky fingernail clipping from a part that was nearly the entire surface of the ski. Basically the area you would stand on. The parts price was quoted at ~$1200. His inspection required me to pay for a 1/4 of the $1200 part and 1/4 of the labor it would be to replace the part. A quarter of the price was ridiculous in my opinion. I asked if he could give me deal and give me 1/10 of the cost for parts and labor. It seemed more reasonable than paying over $300 for a scratch in some polytec/plastic that was likely intended to take some abuse. I was surprised he was even considering that small scratch as damage. It blow my mind that they would do this kind of BS to a customer. By the looks of it, this has happen before. The pictures indicate the part that would be replaced. Again, my scratch was the size of a little fingernail clipping. The part is massive in comparison to the scratch.

On our first visit we met April, who gave us plenty of space to look around without bothering us. When we were ready, she walked around with us, showing us options that met our criteria, and patiently answered all our questions. We weren't ready to buy, and when we communicated that, she understood. A couple of weeks later, after thinking through the different choices, we came back. April was by then on maternity leave, so we worked with Briana, who was equally friendly, knowledgable, and low-key. The transaction was smooth and painless. No last minute charges, no pressure to buy extended warranty (though one was available if we wanted it). We arranged for financing with our credit union, and that was fine, too (no pressure to take financing through the dealer). On the day we arrived for pick-up, they had cleaned and prepped the trailer, and Luis gave us a thorough walk through, making sure we understood how everything worked, from the smart hitch to the a/c to the slide-out & etc. We had been to another, big RV dealership months earlier, and were so traumatized by the high pressure sales tactics and endless (endless!!!) The office folks continue to try and skew and bend the truth. Side maker lights work was never approved or requested which is documented in email. Damage happened twice on my rig at this shop. We are now in small claims court unfortunately due to the company's inability to stand up and do what's right. I think this all started due to the employee we started with Ron who is no longer working there. Originally contacted Family RV to make a 7pin pig tail for our Lance truck camper. That pig tail wasn't done right or something happened to it, intermitent issues with turn signals and brake lights. Decided to take the entire rig in for service to get a new furnace and some electrical work done. New furnace is great, they did work I did not ask for or approve and charged me for it. The rig also was damaged while in their care, exterior was hit and punctured a pretty good hole in the front of the camper. They provided us with a free rental since we had planned to use our RV. That rental's slide out stopped operating at the RV park... They couldn't find the short for the electrical work I asked for... Short story 5800 dollars, a new furnace, repaired damage caused at their shop, the same short, and a new pig tail. We are now in small claims court to get some of the money back for the work that I didn't ask to be done and electrical work that was never identified or fixed. Will definitely not be going back here again.
