These guys know what they're doing! I was completely unaware of what was wrong with the car and he ran diagnostics for me, before I dropped it off!! They're so friendly and helpful, making sure I understood everything that needed to be done. Even so much so, that they called before pickup and found I had somehow ran through all my oil and let me know they're be checking a few other items so it would take a little longer! The dealership was going to charge me $1600 because my control arm bushing was torn. Steve took a look and told me that they didn't need to be replaced at all and could last me a couple more years. He replaced the bulbs in my tail light and noticed that my key fob was no longer working and fixed that for me too. everything cost under $100.I love this place! We've been coming here for probably 20 years by recommendation of my in-laws who have been coming here long before. If continuing to utilize a recommendation from in-laws isn't testament enough... I'll go on. We do not live close to Roach's. We admit we have tried other mechanics with great reviews near us. Simply put, no one is as good as Roach's. Roach's is always the best. They are not "Part Swappers".... they do not replace an entire system when there is a loose wire. They diagnose one area, and the next, and the next, quickly and responsibly. They are stewards of time and very efficient. They care about the customer. Ultimately this saves money. We most recently had estimates on our AC. We had tried multiple mechanics near us with great reviews. They had their ideas and kept our car for days trying to diagnose what was wrong. They gave us quotes that seemed high. In our own research, it didn't add up. In a quick overnight, Roach's had diagnosed and found the exact problem. There was no need to spend hundreds extra on possibilities, just the amount for what needed to be fixed. We have always driven away paying half of what other mechanics had quoted with a bad diagnosis. We have always driven away not just satisfied, but overwhelmingly grateful for good people. These are the people that let you know the future of the world is going to be ok. I mean that! They put their heads down and work. They are quiet and let there actions speak with a smile. Lastly, we came here as kids. We were young. We started a family young. We didn't have a lot. When we had car trouble we didn't have the luxury of paying extra to mechanics who didn't know what they were doing. Just got my 4runner back from Steve & the guys at Roach's & they're the best!! It wouldn't pass smog so I drove right over to there to asked Steve to check it out....he ended up having it for 2 weeks, but it drives great now. Before I took it in it was surging when I would step on or off the gas & now it's as smooth as can be & the best part is he kept bring it in to the smog shop & fixing whatever was wrong until it passed--BUT NOT WITHOUT CALLING & TELLING ME FIRST WHAT HE WAS DOING & HOW MUCH IT WOULD BE!! Bought a used 01 Sequoia for cheap. It had a bad cat and oil leak; they fixed both for very reasonable prices and didn't BS about anything. In fact he told me I could drive it with no real problems with the minor oil leak it had and that I didn't even need to repair it. I insisted and he gave me a very reasonable price. read more

Roach's was recommended to me by a friend. After visiting one auto repair shop that examined my problem and told me that the repair would be lengthy and costly, I went to Roach's. I'm 27 years old. My family has been trusting Mike and Steve with our cars since before I was born, back when they were a 76 station! That might show you my bias, but hopefully, more so just how good they are and how much we trust them. We've gotten some loyalty points, from 7-8 cars worth and 27 years worth of service, so they have always taken care of us, and always go an extra mile to find the part we need asap and get our cars turned around as fast as possible. Been going to Roach's for over 10 years now. Very honest and friendly. They are straight up with you and do not try to sell you something that you don't have to have done. Many times have brought in my car thinking it would cost a bundle, but they have managed to fix it for a fraction of what I thought it was going to be. If you find something isn't right (rare), I just call them up and they say to bring it back. Was purchasing a very old first car for my daughter and had them check it out. These guys have been taking care of my families vehicles for longer than i've been alive, that's 28 years ya'll! Mike and Steve, family operation treat your cars... well, better than you probably did! What's remarkable is they have had the oppurtunity to ask for so much more than what they do. When I've been in bind myself, they seem to really make it worth it to me to keep using them, and find some reason to charge me less than what they intially told me. After any replacement, they always keep the part to show you why it's bad. When getting my first car, they did a look over for a potential buy, basically told me to not to buy it, and then wouldn't take any money when we tried to pay them. We brought them something else and they admitted that for a lot of what that car does enginewise they can't work on, but said all around it was ok. Again, wouldn't take our money. Now I wouldn't promise they do that for everyone, but these guys are probably the most honest and trustworthy guys out there. Sometimes they do forget to call you as soon as your car is ready, if it's a same day expected deal. But I can't tell you how many times they needed a part and Mike or Steve would run around town, get what was needed, and still finish the fix before closing time. Recently, i called them 15 minutes before they closed, and Steve said he'd take a look at it, and it took me about 20 minutes to get there, he spent another 15-20 tinkering and testing it.
