NEVER ASSUME you will be treated fairly -- our costly mistake. --- Schaad's charged $23.71 for each of the FOUR spark plugs that could be baught at auto store for less than $10. Total for four = $94.84 Then they charged $125.00 to put the four spark plugs in. ----- Cost of the Tow was $65 ----- They broke the gas latch in the process of all of this. They ordered the part, we brought the car back and they fix it for free. They were very friendly and I was hoping to use them in the future for other vehicles. Instead, I've told my six sisters, their husbands and my two brothers about the $23.71 spark plugs. There are 18 nephew and nieces + spouses over the age of 25 that live in the area also. That is just my side of the family. We make it a point to share our experiences good or bad. Places to go to and use and those places to avoid and tell others to avoid. I don't mind anyone making money/a living. I even pay a bit extra for family owned and local businesses. But I will warn anyone and everyone to avoid those who take advantage (i.e., $23.71 for a single spark plug to go on an old, cheap car). Lots of the times I will bring my own and just pay for labor. Up to you. This past time I got front brake pads and a caliper replaced. The mechanic took me back to the shop and showed me what the difficulty was so that I didn't think I was getting scammed. I appreciate that and they remember every time that I bring my car in there. I found Bargain Towing online and they were a pleasant God send from start to finish. Sam was very communicative on the phone and gave the best quote in comparison to the other 5 companies I called. He kept me in the loop on what would happen and how soon the tow truck would arrive. And when Billy arrived to pickup my car he was extremely pleasant and talked me through everything he would be doing and dropped my car off safely at my house without incident. Hoping our paths do not need to cross again, lol, but if they do I have their number saved in my phone because they were a ray of sunshine after a gloomy moment. I walked in after 10 am for an oil change on a Saturday and noticed there was only one worker. About 30 minutes later more workers came in and one of them walked up to me and asked for my key. There was no discussion of what type of oil change (ex. synthetic, etc) or pricing. Approximately 10 minutes later he asked for all my info (name, address, phone#, email) and gave a price-indicating they were finished with the oil change. I asked if the Yelp check-in coupon could be used, but he stated they already changed the oil with all synthetic and the coupon was for half-and-half. I didn't feel he was being rude in any way, I just wish there was more dialog and that I had a choice. Overall, it was a decent straight-no chaser experience.

Spent the night in a local hotel and called Toledo Auto Care the next morning to set up an appointment the next day. Turned out it was just some dirty oil that needed changing. The mechanic showed me the brakes and let me know that they were going to need changing sometime in the near future, but it wasn't anywhere close to the in-your-face sales pitch that some auto shops give you. I left Toledo Auto Care with a healthy care and a healthier state of mind. They treat their customers right here, and if I'm in the area again this will be my number one choice for any car repairs.

On this recent trip, we noticed that our tire pressure (PSI) was too high, so I quickly drove here and the manager immediately asked me to pull up to Bay 1, which I did. He pulled out the air hose and concurred with my assessment and decreased the pressure in each tire. And - he adamantly refused our tip. In less than 8 minutes, we were on the road again.
