I am so happy that I found this little gem! Everything about it is perfect!…read more Food: I had the harvest burger and it was possibly one of the best burgers I have had. The tomatoes were so fresh and super juicy yet not mushy at all. The patty was nice and firm and covered in their super yummy sauce. I am drooling just thinking about the food. Something even more amazing is knowing where this food is coming from and how everything is made. I wish I tried more food there! My friends had the breakfast burger and also loved it. Service: The staff were super friendly and helpful for any suggestions. Space: The space was very beautiful, relaxing, and welcoming. Harvest is a little stand located behind Michell's Farm. There were some picnic tables and yard chairs in a grassy patch to enjoy your food. They also and picnic umbrellas if anyone wants some shade from the sun. Extras: I LOVED their concept of Field to Fork and Fork to Field. Nothing purchased at Harvest Rd. was trash. Everything was compostable and went back to be used on the farm. I especially loved that there was a fee for requesting plastics instead of giving a discount off bringing your own. I think it's amazing because that sets a standard that people should bring their own containers and stuff. Cost: I think the pricing was very reasonable considering everything was produced sustainably. I got a burger and coffee for $16 which I did not think was bad at all! I would 100% recommend this place to everyone! Such a nice place to sit and enjoy some food in the sunshine. It's also on the way if you heading to the ferry terminal so grab some food before or after going on the ferry!

You walk up to order and then snag your food once they call your name. We ordered 2 harvest burgers, a Central Sandwich and a kids hot dog. The hamburgers and all the ingredients are very fresh, but not super flavorful. The sandwich though, is totally worth the trip. The double smoked ham is almost bacon like and the jam gives the right amount of sweetness. It was absolutely delicious. If we come back to the area I would totally come back to order another.

Ahhh what a beautiful garden over 100 years old!…read more The feeling I got walking in and seeing the sunken garden for the first time really felt like something straight out of the book "the secret garden". Expansive, exciting to explore the different paths and the abundance of daffodils and beautiful flowers was such a dream. We spent some time walking through the gardens and the grounds also took afternoon tea at their restaurant. Really beautiful experience with fresh orchids near the window and the beautiful greenhouse setting on a drizzly day felt so enchanting. Thank you garden staff for taking such good care of the place and making it so beautiful!

Even surrounded by the beauty of the rose garden on one side and the Italian garden on the other side, tea at the Dining Room outdoor patio was a reasonable 52.50CAD = $38.12 per person. English trifle, ginger scone with strawberry preserve and clotted cream, savory sandwiches and delicacies, homemade sweets and a pot each of Butchart Garden exclusive Bachelor Button and Teaberry Blend, this tea for two was enough for four. We were lucky arriving after the lunch rush so was able to get a seat even without reservations since it was a last-minute decision passing by when we were hungry. Would recommend making reservations if this a must do for you.

20 YEARS OF LOYALTY DESTROYED: A $95.50 DISASTER AND THE PIZZA THAT FORGOT ITS PINEAPPLE…read moreAfter two decades--two decades!--of proudly proclaiming Keating Pizza made the best pies on Vancouver Island, I am forced to write this retraction, a bitter epitaph to a love affair with quality crust and fresh ingredients. My recent experience was nothing short of a spectacular failure, a betrayal of the standard I had foolishly come to guarantee. I placed an order for two medium Take-and-Bake pizzas on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, specifically intending to transport them across the country to showcase your supposed excellence in Alberta. I paid the premium price--a shocking $95.50 for two take-and-bakes--and expected perfection. What I received was culinary chaos. The issues started with a bewildering pickup experience. I arrived early for my 4:30 PM scheduled time, only to be told the pizzas were already "ready" at 3:45 PM. Was my order made hours in advance, compromising the quality of the dough before it even hit the freezer? I requested they be refrigerated, paid the exorbitant fee, and was then handed two Extra Large pizzas instead of the requested two medium. The size difference was substantial for two people, and I wasted precious ferry time waiting for the order to be remade. The true horror, however, unfolded when we finally baked them. The Ham & Pineapple pie was an existential question mark. The crust was not thin; it was a pathetic, virtually transparent membrane--a fragile ghost of the hearty dough I remember. Most offensively, this so-called "Pineapple" pizza contained not a single piece of pineapple. It was a plain ham pizza, offensively priced, and utterly inedible due to the structural integrity of a damp napkin. The Meat-lovers was marginally better, in the way that a broken leg is better than a severed limb, but the crust was still a poor, substandard imitation of your former glory. Keating Pizza, you didn't just fail to meet an expectation; you actively humiliated me. I was forced to retract years of boasting, replacing praise with apologetic excuses for the absolute garbage that emerged from my oven. For $95.50, I received a dose of profound disappointment and one pizza that should have never left your kitchen. You need to look closely at your current operations. If this is the new standard, the legend of the "best pizza on Vancouver Island" is over.
