    Apple pie French toast
    Raul L.

I heard of this restaurant through a YouTube video I was watching about places to go in Victoria. The location that was mentioned in the video is no longer around so we came to this location instead. We were seated fast and served very quickly. I ordered a strawberry lemonade which was mid in my opinion. For food, I ordered the apple pie French toast which came with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top and a side of bacon, this was insanely good. It made me very full afterwards. My wife ordered the omelette and had bacon chunks, garlic, Swiss cheese, and hollandais. I took a few bites of her omelette and it had big chunks of garlic in it, which were very soft when you bit into it. Unfortunately, I think they forgot the hollandaise because we could not taste it in the omelette, we didn't say anything because the omelette was so good. She also had potatoes and sourdough bread that came with it and she had a side of bacon also. The potatoes were very good, I found myself taking a few off of her plate when she wasn't looking. I highly recommend coming to any of these locations, I imagine the food tastes good, no matter which location you visit. I'll definitely be returning to any of these locations. Next time we make it out this way.

We took the 8:30 ferry from Port Angeles to Victoria and ended up sitting with a couple from Victoria. They were very friendly so I took the opportunity to ask for a breakfast recommendation. They told us that Floyd's is the local favorite and that there a few locations. We found this on one our route to Butchart Gardens and knew we had to stop. It was great!! Brie, our server, was super friendly and even recommended some other places for us to visit during our stay in Victoria. The food was excellent! I wish I had a Floyd's where I live. I'm going to tell everyone visiting Victoria to have breakfast at Floyd's.

Found Floyd's Diner when we were visiting Burchart Gardens and we were not disappointed. All of the staff were super friendly, the dining room is kept clean. The portions were the right size and not overpriced , we will be returning when we are back in the area and will try the Mahoney.

A wonderful brunch spot. Great breakfast hash with lots of bacon and sausage mixed in. Excellent sourdough toast! Heavenly milkshake!! There was a huge menu with lots of other options too - bennies, pancakes/brioche French toast/crepes, burgers and sandwiches, and lots of non-alcoholic and some alcoholic drinks. Even on a packed holiday weekend, the staff was super-friendly and kind (thank you, Hannah!). Will definitely come again.

The food is bomb! Service was excellent! The ambience is good! All in all: Worth the money and experience! Highly recommend this cafe!

The 420 Benny: smoked lox, arugula, cream cheese.

Can't miss this pink building! Floyd's is the perfect replacement for the fondly missed Sassy's. The friendly staff and great breakfast can't be beat on a Sunday morning - get there before 10:30 if you can to avoid waiting as it fills up (even so, worth the wait). We all had Bennys of different delicious varieties. The menu has a good number of items (it's the same menu as the other Floyd's restaurants.

The wait here could get crazy and they don't provide estimated wait times over the phone! You can see why the wait might be long because the food is good! We came early-ish at about 9am on Labor Day and there was no wait. The server was friendly and assured us that there was nothing funny in the 420 Benny because they don't have that kind of license My husband enjoyed the 420 Benny, and the omelette I ordered certainly felt more like 5-6 eggs even though the menu said 4 eggs! So the portion sizes are definitely worth it for the price (I didn't finish my omelette but kept it for a later snack). We were too picky and risk averse to try the Mahoney, but during our meal there, we witnessed 3 other patrons trying out the coin flip and all 3 off them won and didn't have to pay for their meal! So I can assure you that the coin is not in anyway loaded against you (in case you were wondering )

Another great breakfast Mahoney for Sunday brunch!!!

The atmosphere was alright with dimmer lighting than other similar places which was nice for the mood, and the place was surprisingly louder than expected for the little people that were there. The waitress we had was friendly and nice, but also came by frequently to ask if we were done looking at the menu, with our food, wanting the bill. It felt very rushed despite there not being many other customers in the area. We were only in the restaurant for about 45 minutes today. The food was mediocre. I had the fried chicken and waffles, which looked good but tasted generic. The fried chicken was a bit dry and just tasted like it was seasoned with salt and pepper and that's about it. The waffle tasted like something anyone could make at home. My friend had the Caesar salad, which was drenched in sauce but otherwise looked alright. Overall, the food is on the pricier side, relative to the portion size being served. Expect to spend at least $30 to be full, not including drinks and dessert.

The first night my wife and I had scallops for appetizers and herb crusted Wild pacific salmon for the entrees. Their fish were cooked to perfection and the accompaniments were an enhancement as opposed to a dominating force. The second night I had escargot and my wife had the beet and goat cheese salad. We both loved our appetizers. The shepherds pie was good although I found the cheese on top of the mashed potatoes was neither necessary nor authentic, but it was still quite good. My wife had the duck confit which she liked very much. The ambiance is one of a country English cottage which felt cozy and warm and the servers were personable and solicitous without hovering. I'm guessing as good as most of the restaurants in town (Hastings House lies just outside the main strip).

Started out with lobster bisque (with a good amount of lobster) and a dozen snails (chef slipped a couple extra!) in a marvelous garlic butter and Parmesan sprinkled over all. Then for entree we enjoyed a wonderfully prepared Herb Crusted Wild Pacific Red Snapper With Creamy Parmesan Polenta, Basil Pesto. I enjoyed the Pan-Seared Nova Scotia Deep Sea Scallops on a fresh bed of lettuce mix and greens. So definitely a restaurant to try but you'll want to plan staying a night or two given they are on an island off the Vancouver island! Rooms are great also with some placed in cabins with views making you feel like you're in a tree house amongst the pines.

The patty was rather crumbly, which I wasn't sure if I liked, but it still had a ton of flavor, especially alongside the pickles and everything. Potatoes were outrageously good. They were JUST on the verge of burning, so they were smoky without being overwhelming. And DANG this place knows how to season! The salad was kinda eh, honestly. Dressing was pretty generic. If you're looking for flavor, get more potatoes instead of half/half. Got the zucchini brownie out of curiosity. It was fine, but odd. I thought maybe they would just use the zucchini as a binder, but no - there were still some small chunks spread throughout. Didn't really like that, but the brownie was still smooth and pretty good. Interior is quaint, and waitress was very polite.
