Based on a friends recommendation, I contacted Air Pyramid. The owner himself came out the very next day. He confirmed that the system needed replacement ‍. He was patient, informative and most importantly ON TIME! He provided options and comparisons on the different systems available, to include pricing and his strongest recommendation. Once I decided to work with Pyramid, I called him with my unit selection and a deposit. We agreed that he'd come out and install the outside unit and then the inside portion on the following day when i could take leave to be home. Get this..when I called the morning of the outside install to confirm his arrival time, he informed me that he'd already completed the install. it was 9am! The inside install was in my attic crawl space . It was 95 degrees outside and no air in my house. Mr. Cartledge went to work. My unit was 26 years old and the last install provided some unexpected removal challenges. He didn't charge me anything additional and maintained his same pleasant and professional stance the entire time sweat poured from his face. I could barely stay in the house, and can't imagine getting in that work space. To say that I recommend this company is an understatement!!! I'd invest my hard earned money if I could. This past week we had a part failure on our heat pump, and Mike personally walked us through various troubleshooting procedures over the phone before coming by to examine the unit in person. He ended up ordering a replacement part, coming back the next day and spending over an hour installing it and ensuring it was working properly. And for all this work, four years after installation? No charge at all. Mike has been in the business for years, and genuinely sees his customers as valuable, long-term relationships. One of their service staff came out due to an issue and recommended we install a replacement AC unit. OK. It was scheduled promptly, though there was an error in the quote. Came out on Friday and replaced the unit. Took 8 hours for a condo unit install. No one bothered to warn us of the time required. It was installed wrong and the unit did not work the next day. We called the answering service and left a voice message with a person, but no callback for days. Called again, and finally, a callback. An exceptional employee came out immediately the next day and properly diagnosed the installation problem. Another 3 hours of my time. I asked said employee (who called me the next day to confirm all was working properly), and I requested she ask the manager to call me to understand why the issue of an improper installation and the lack of a timely response. After one week no callback. When I did get one today, it was by the office manager to say the Ops manager had been out sick. I asked why the owner could not call, as they promote it being a family business. Was told they don't do that. Well, we will now switch out the service contract from them. All for the sake of a 5 minute phone call. Who cares? Not the owners!

My first impression of Circuit Doctors was a good one, the woman that answered the phone was very…read morepleasant, kind and understanding and I arranged a time for her husband Dave to come out and quote the job. I had just purchased this home and the washer / dryer hookups were not working and I also wanted to have two light fixtures installed. The quote fee was $219 which I was made aware of beforehand and I accepted. The quote however took me by complete surprise. I was quoted $4640. As this was my first home and my first time ever needing an electrician I wasn't sure if this was a reasonable quote. When he told me the first availability he had to complete the job was in 2 weeks I told him I'd sit on it and get a few more quotes as I was also hoping to have this completed sooner. Immediately he said he could do the light installs today and come back next Wednesday to complete the wiring for the washer / dryer. This was definitely an "ask your dads opinion moment" but unfortunately I couldn't get a hold of my dad to see if this quote was fair and reasonable and I regrettably signed the quote and paid a 50% deposit ($2320) giving him the go ahead to begin the job. He began on the light fixtures when my realtor called as I had text him asking for his opinion because again this is my first home and I was starting to get overwhelmed at the cost of repairs. My realtor suggested having him complete the light installs and getting a second opinion on the wiring for the washer / dryer. When I went to talk to Dave about pausing on the washer / dryer wiring as I felt a little overwhelmed at the cost his demeanor completely changed and he became short with me saying "you signed the paperwork I'm now contracted to do this job" and "you can't get your money back" I explained to him that I wasn't seeking a full refund but I wanted to see an itemized breakdown of the jobs as I would gladly pay him for the light installation but wanted to pause and get a second opinion on the washer / dryer situation. He had not yet given me a copy of what I had signed and he seemed irritated that I was asking. He gave me the paperwork but the breakdown was not itemized (see photo attached) What started off as a pleasant interaction suddenly got super uncomfortable as I started trying to explain that I was very frustrated that I was having not only this issue with my new house but other issues and it was all very stressful and overwhelming and he made remarks like "that's not my problem" I wasn't approaching him in a confrontational way and I explained to him I'm not saying this is your problem I'm trying to give you customer context as to why I'm apprehensive about moving forward. As a small business owner myself I hope I never make anyone feel how Dave made me feel. Yes I signed his quote but within minutes I was questioning my decision and he showed absolutely no understanding or empathy for how stressed and overwhelmed I was. I left him to continue to do his thing with the light fixtures as I just wanted him to hurry up and leave as this whole interaction was very uncomfortable. I went to my basement to hang out with my dogs and noticed on my ring app he had closed the shutters to my upstairs camera. The whole thing was very bizarre. He was in my house for roughly 6.5 hours installing two light fixtures and although they look great I felt uncomfortable having him return. I called the following day again asking for an itemized breakdown so I can see what portion was for the lighting (that he had completed) and was portion was for the washer / dryer (that had not been completed) I was given the run around saying he doesn't do itemized quotes and he uses a "proprietary system" and quotes by units and not by parts and labor. I ultimately cancelled the remainder of the job, took the loss on whatever I'd overpaid in the 50% deposit because again I have no idea how much the light install really was and I will never call this company again.
