I would recommend Bob to anyone who needs a home inspection. Bob works very thoroughly and in detail. He took 4 hours in our 2800 sqft house and work continually in this 4 hours. He checks every room and every detail, even the smallest things such as the toilet is loose, and the bath wall base need caulk, and point out a spot on the deck could be a potential low point for water to stay. He check every electric outlet to test if they are GFCI protected. And he check the roof almost as professional as a real roofer. He recommend me to ask a roofer to do some further inspection for the roof as he saw something worth more professional opinion. I then asked a roofer to inspect and the roofer gives exactly the same feedback on the issues of the roof.
Bob is really a old school experience guy with many certificate. At first, when he introduces his certificates and his master degree, I don't think much of it. But later in the 4 hours work, I realized that all the certificate and degree, along with his 20+ years(or 30+, I didn't remember) experience in home inspection, indeed made his feedback professional and insightful. I am so happy that I find Bob.
Someone on a website says Bob charges expensive than others, I admit that he charges higher than some others, but in fact just 40 dollars more. I asked several home inspection companies, they averagely charge 450. So consider Bob charges 490 and that include tax, it is really not a obvious "higher".
Last, Bob provide us the inspection report with all the details, suggestion on how to fix it and the estimated costs for each items. And a very thick notepad with many tips and knowledges on house maintanence. He give it to us for free as a a part of the report. It is really good for us the first time home buyers. He taught us a lot during the inspection.
I really appreciate the work by Bob. If anyone ask for recommendation, I would definitely recommend him. read more
