I felt a little guilty about not ordering food, but I had a huge lunch and was really just there to meet a friend. I think the waitress's name was Amanda, and she was a treat from the moment I sat down. She didn't bat an eye when I set up my laptop in the corner for an hour to take a work call, and once my friend arrived, she let us settle in with a couple of beers and talk for another two hours without any pressure to move along. Great service and great wings. We got traditional, bone in, mild and garlic Parmesan. The garlic Parmesan could've been a little more garlicky. Kids got honey BBQ and mild boneless wings. There are a bunch of TVs everywhere and a bar separated from the rest of the seating area. There is seating outside also. We will be coming back when football season is in. read more

Food was alright, needs some refinement or redesign of how it's presented or prepared depending on the dish ordered. The drink menu was vast with different options and service was not the best I have had but far from the worst. The inaction with the employees and customer was a little below average but the style of restaurant; I can see the disconnect. read more

2.5 Stars is being to generous. Went yesterday with friends. When we arrived at 4:45 there were only 3 other people eating and they already had their food. We ordered and at 6:10 we still didn't have our food (only ordered wings). I inquired with our waitress as other people who had come in after us were already receiving their food and finished eating where our wings were. She said it was because we ordered them extra crispy and I said no way. She then came back and said that they misplaced our orders. My wife and myself had to leave because we had an appointment at 6:30 and did not get to eat. Our friend stayed because they had no place they had to be. Said when they finally got their food, the orders were not correct. I called the manager Ashley and asked her to explain why we didn't get our food. She said sorry and offered my next meal to be free, but I wasn't interested in going back there. My friend said she never came to the table to apologize. They never heard from her at all. The heading here says that they are closed. But they reopened back in February of 2023 under Lupton's. They are SO much better now! We got the wings and loved them. It was just OK. I'm not overly fond of having to flag down the bartender so we can get a drink......then have to catch her again so we can put in our to-go order. So we order 20 wings....we want 10 of them one flavor and 10 of them another flavor....only to be told we can't split the flavors.......lo and behold...they have a 10 wing order option....yup....we ordered 10 wings in one flavor and 10 wings another flavor. That got me an eye roll. We got our wings a bit to quickly for them to be done but I shook it off. We got back to our hotel room and I'm thinking they were just done enough. I like mine a bit crispy so I had issues with them. My husband was hungry so he ate all of his. I cooked mine more when we got home on Sunday. We picked this bar to have a few drinks to watch the Final Four game, because it's advertised to be open til midnight. Mediocre service aside, at 10:15, the bartender started tossing chairs up on the bar, urging everyone to get out. With well over an hour left until closing and just over 10 minutes left in the second half, we were given our check without a last call and treated like we weren't even there. With less than a minute to go in a 3-point game, we were literally told to leave because they were closing. (We don't expect everyone to be a fan of our team, but who kicks people out at the end of a close major game with seconds to go? We have been going here for over 6 yrs and each year it gets worse. Our group of 9 went in at 3 pm, only customers except a few guys sitting at the bar. Friendly waitress but not very good. Train the waitresses. They are young and need guidance they don't work as a team and the customer suffers. We used to go years ago, but saw it going down hill. Decided to see how it was tonight and it hasn't changed. They should have let bar rescue come in and redo the place. Who ever is managing the place needs training or the owner himself needs to take responsibility. We use to love going there on date night, but now I'm afraid to eat there. We stopped going because the quality of the food was declining. We watched the bar tender dip the glasses in the hopefully sanitized water and immediately made us shots. I can honestly say I did NOT know I was walking into a Hooter's-type establishment. Once I did, I decided to give the place a try. I like a side of coleslaw w/ my wings, not a side of arse. With that said, the service at the bar was good. The boneless parmesan butter wings were VERY GOOD-- hot & fresh! I ordered the wing basket to go for $12.99. (See pic.) The fries were ok (I'm not a fry gal), the 3 pieces of celery & the blue cheese dressing were as well. The slaw was a little disappointing; it didn't look or taste fresh. And it was put in my food container w/o its own lid-- not wise. The BIG downer was not being allowed to buy a to-go beverage (iced tea, diet soda, etc). I was told there are "no to-go cups." When I asked why, I was told that "because of a few bad ones" (putting booze in their cups), "everyone loses out." Lol. What??? Am I back in high school? I can buy a meal to go, but not a non alcoholic beverage that you hand to me immediately before I leave the establishment?! Crazy! And not enjoyable eating an entire meal w/o a drink. For all you men who like larger young women, you'll be happy to know this business is an equal opportunity employer; there was a big girl wearing the standard thonged red shorts & sleeveless black T. RJ's has the best wings around. They are juicy inside and crisp outside. Perfect flavor too! Not to mention the wings are HUGE. In the past we were hesitant to go to RJ's because the service was often slow. I'm Happy to report that things seem to be turned around!!! Katie was an outstanding waitress, friendly and efficient. AND the wings came out quickly, even with a large order. Can't wait to put RJ's back on the list of "go-to" restaurants in Zephyrhills. Yum! read more

The manager here needs to take a new job as a night watchman somewhere I eat out every day here is this town an I have never seen such an epic failure on service. I am not going to blame employees as they are very young and clearly not properly trained. Walked in and a waitress said hello and that she was training (but no one around actually training her) she took the order and it came about 15 min later... she dropped off my meal and I could see that the wrong fries were given to me. No problem, I am easy going. Then after she left and one bite into my wings it's not what I ordered. Waited forever... she returned to tell me I was given someone elses meal... no apologies or anything. Waiting another 30 min while manager over near kitchen window fiddling around the entire time.... it was almost an hour from the time I arrived until I got my food.. with that major screw up you would think the manager would come over to apologize. ... nothing! Stayed in Zephyrhills last Friday for the Savage Race in Dade City and wanted to carb up the night before the run. We stopped into RJ's and were amused by the variety of patrons. There were many elderly people upon our arrival and a lot more local young-ins by the time we left. Our server wasn't the friendliest, but she did assist in getting the March Madness games on the tvs for us. Our table had a variety of wings, buffalo wrap, pulled pork sandwich, and roast beef melt. Everyone agreed that the food was good and our arteries were officially clogged. Our favorite part was definitely how small our bill was. I'd definitely recommend stopping by to get some cheap greasy food, but don't expect much from the ambiance. read more

After a year or better we thought we would try RJ'S again.......BIG MISTAKE..... I guess when a girl gets turned down to work at Hooters or Wing house or the circus freak nasty old lunch hag on a roach coach they get a job at RJ'S. This "restaurant" has seen better days. I actually stopped going here due to poor service and so-so food. However, my sweetie wanted to try again so we went for lunch. After ordering, food was brought with no silverware. When I asked the server for silverware, she responded that they had none and brought me plastic forks but no knives - they were out. She then brought me a knife the staff was using from the kitchen and said it was washed. My idea of washed and clean is obviously different from this place's idea. How can a certified restaurant serve food without utensils? Ridiculous. While the food was marginal, service was lackadaisical. Also, the bar had no lemons and unsweet iced tea, only sweet tea. My husband and I were in the area visiting a relative at the nearby hospital, so we decided to try this place out. There weren't many people there, which should have been our first warning... We sat down and waited a while before a server even came by to get our drinks. We ordered an appetizer and the waitress didn't come back to take our orders until the appetizer was long gone. After we ordered it took way too long to get our food for the amount of people actually eating in the place. My husband ordered wings, I ordered a philly cheese steak and we ordered just the kids chicken tenders. My sandwich was flavorless, and I only ate a few bites. My daughters chicken tenders came out well done on the verge of burnt. Nobody came back to ask us how the food was or anything so I couldn't send the food back. My husband's tea sat empty until the girl FINALLY came over and he had to ask her to get him more... It was only sitting on the edge of the table. When we got our bill they charged us for MORE than the kids meal even cost when we didn't even get half of the stuff that came with the kids meal. It was a mess. I would not recommend going here to eat unless you're planning to get drunk and don't care about your food, or service. read more

Been here a couple of times and the food is okay. Called to place a 50 wing order as was told they would only do 2 flavors on an order of 50... Seriously. The women on the phone had a complete attitude explaining that they would not do 10 one flavor then 10 another and so on. I explained I was looking for 3 flavors out of 50 wings its seriously not that complicated was told she asked the manager and the most they could do is 25 one flavor and 25 another. It was last Thursday night and Mike and I were scheduled to talk to our priest for our upcoming wedding. When he didn't show (forgot our appointment), we figured that we might as well stop in to pretty much the ONLY restaurant around that wasn't sketch and watch the hockey game. This bar was pretty quiet, but you could tell that the people there were regulars. All of the staff members of RJ's were very friendly. The food at RJ's was nothing special, but I have a feeling people don't go there for the food- they go there for the service and because I'm sure this place feels like a family to them. Just left this establishment.. Ordered soda's and chicken quesadillas. quesadillas came out VERY salty, even tried to dunk in ranch dressing (no help).. Missing onions and green peppers.. Just A-LOT of SALT, CHEESE and little chicken (YUK).. Figured we would try something different.. Ordered the CUBAN without Mustard lightly pressed.. Sandwich came out soggy and burnt.. Sent back and sent the quesadillas back too.. The manager ERIC would not come out and talk to us.. I could hear the bartender talk to him in the kitchen.. They took off the sandwich and said since we ate part of the quesadilla he would not discount.. THE FOOD WAS Disgusting!. Watch out for the disgusting bathrooms too! VERY NASTY.. The server was polite but not very attentive which was really sad as it appeared we were one of her only tables while we were there. Ordered two appetizers and one did not show up until well after the main coarse. The chili was cold, but the bowls were hot. The wings and the grilled chicken sandwich were actually decent but all of the fries were over fried. Their response to the complaint about the appetizers was to comp the apps and chili....oh joy. This is now my favorite wing place!!! When I first received my wings I was worried. They were sitting in a soup of sauce, thinking they were going to be soggy, I took my first bite. Not at all, they were still crispy and fantastic. The waffle fries were also very crispy and season perfectly! I have been back three time over a 4 month period, and every time the same quality! The food was in a puddle of grease ,not a fan of that and the whole place had a strong fried oil smell not a good smell , it's a hooters copycat just not as good , I'm a women and straight but I felt like a creeper really these little girls running around trying to be sexy is a bit arkward , but I guess if your into that this is a place to go , the wings that weren't in the grease had nice crisp but salty as hell if your extremely desperate for wings and beer and beefs up the road is closed then this place will do lol read more
