Shrimp tacos
Jay B.

Really cool little spot in Sun Valley. Clean interior and high quality ingredients for the prices. We had the tacos, my daughter got the fish tacos and I got the shrimp tacos. Shrimp was grilled and not fried and they seemed pretty fresh. If I'm ever in the area I will definitely hit this place up again. Great salsas too.

The lamb shank was incredible!

Mom and I love coming to RJM. The chef specials are fantastic. I love the pastas. The barbacoa tacos are also winners. The tuna tacos and salads are great. The family that runs this place is also wonderful. Everybody is so attentive and kind. The pricing is fair too!

RJM is a delicious, unassuming spot that serves a variety of affordable foods. There's also a happy hour discount from 2-5PM using DoorDash. The shrimp and lobster dishes are worth a try and apparently the juices are must-haves. They have 3 locations; Sun Valley, Mid-City, and Santa Clarita.

alright..... Benn a minute since i've been to this spot. I went to this spot when it was in a suite that was really small. ever since they got to this new bigger suite I hadn't returned until today. Was hungry and decided to give their $6 breakfast burrito . Service was quick and courteous. No lie, i really enjoyed it!!! It's your basic breakfast burrito, but for me it was fresh, tasty, flavorful and great price point!!!!! to top it off...... it was a big boy size breakfast burrito!!!! great price point and big boy sized burrito!!!! IM SOOO DOWN!!! They offer this deal from 7:30 am till 11am everyday. I suggest you take advantage. Oh did i mention they have a salsa station and complimentary black beans that are just as flavorful!!! I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND FOR A MORNING MEAL. you tell me where you can find a $6 dollar breakfast burrito that's big boy approved as far as size and taste great with complimentary black beans. total after tax is $6.50!!!! CANT BEAT THAT WITH A BASEBALL BAT!!!! GO AND TRY! peace!

Carne Asada Entree

Good food, great service, polite server and cashier! Definitely coming back for their breakfast burrito. Had their Carne asada plate!

I've ordered food from here multiple times and today they decided to put shrimp mixed in with the roasted potatoes and I'm allergic to seafood nothing on my plate was seafood related for them to do that. I simply ordered steak sandwich and roasted potatoes I was also told 10-15 min and waited 30-45.

I often visit this place during my lunch break at work because the food is delicious. My favorites are the chicken Alfredo and the carne asada wet burrito. It typically takes about 15 to 20 minutes for them to prepare the dishes, which is why I always call in my orders ahead of time. They also offer freshly made juices of your choice and have a condiment bar for your convenience. I highly recommend this restaurant if you're in the Sun Valley area.

Seafood Ziti Pasta

Ordered this thinking it would come with ziti pasta. Kinda glad it didn't. It was delicious. There was a lot of fish in it. Flavor was good.

Pretty solid place for Breakfast Burritos. I usually get the tacos on the street near Costco, but they weren't fully open yet. So I called this spot and placed an order for two Breakfast Burritos - one with steak and one with chicken. Food was ready within 10 minutes. You drive into the gas station and park there. Burritos were yummy, had chunks of potatoes in them and the steak was delicious. I will say the salsas were SUPER SPICY! I tried 3 different kinds and they all had a kick. Overall a great place and two burritos were $20, which is rare these days!

Tuna salad with ginger and mango!!! Made to perfection every time!

2022.04-13/WED_1100: Also known as the Brioche Cafe in the mornings, we love this spot for really good Mexican food. The portions to pricing ratio can't be beat. The staff here is always super nice, too. Since this was a birthday lunch, we ordered in. I warned my friend, their burritos are the size of a four pound baby. Boy, was she in for a treat! She ordered the Chicken Burrito and I ordered a Lobster Quesadilla. The chef at this restaurant originally came from a 5 star restaurant so every time I've dined in, their presentation has always been fantastic. Their food quality has always been consistent. When asked about their seafood, I was told the chef visits the market every morning for fresh seafood. RJM prides themselves in their seafood. I can attest to that. The chef never overcooks any of their seafood dishes so the seafood always comes out soft and succulent. It's always tender. Even the Ahi Tuna is seared perfectly and never overcooked or undercooked. Just perfect. My quesadilla was soft and delicious. I was able to take it home and reheat it and it still tasted delicious! What I like about RJM is the respect they have for their patrons. I have a nasty tomato allergy and you know most Mexican food is made with tomatoes. Every time I've ordered from RJM and stated that I can't have tomatoes, I have NEVER encountered any cross contamination! Believe me, I would know. Even the juice of the tomato would affect me. I would know if they used the same knife to cut the tomatoes was used to cut the lettuce - I'm that allergic! You can never go wrong with RJM. You definitely have to try their salsas, too. Every person that I've introduced RJM to, has never been disappointed. Even everyone at work dines there weekly. Give them a visit, even dine in so you can experience their salsa bar and complimentary peanuts! #mexican #RJMGrill #RJM #grill #burrito #quesadilla #goodeats #holeinthewall #hiddengems #mortimerthebear

Food: 5/5 Service: 3.5/5…read moreAmbiance: 4/5 I've always loved their pancakes, and the restaurant has a peaceful, clean, welcoming atmosphere with reasonable portions for the price. Last weekend was my first time dining in at their restaurant. I usually do pick up before. Unfortunately, our recent visit was disappointing because of the customer service. Our server missed part of a special request which was just to add a "sourdough", then blamed the kitchen and responded, "Next time, you bring it up to me," even though we had already brought it to her attention. The comment came across as rude and unprofessional. While we understand that English may not be her first language, the way the situation was handled still felt dismissive. It is not the customer's responsibility to ensure that an order is accurately communicated to the kitchen. Also, another employee tried to take the ketchup that was on our table while we were still using it. Although he ended up not taking it, it still made the experience feel rushed. Mistakes happen, but greater accountability, attentiveness, and professionalism would have made a difference. Parking can also be challenging. Overall, the food and ambiance are enjoyable, but the service needs improvement.

I'm sure I've had positive experiences here in the intervening years, but today was the final nail in the coffin. I specifically asked for whipped cream on the side of my pancakes. They arrived with it on top. When I politely asked for this to be corrected, the pancakes came back with what appeared to be the cream simply scraped off and placed in a separate bowl. By then, I had almost finished my eggs and two mini sausages, so I told the server I no longer wanted the pancakes. The coffee was also weak and watery. I was initially presented with a bill offering 50% off the food. After I spoke to the manager, she apologised and offered to comp the food, which I appreciated. But it shouldn't have required a conversation with the manager to resolve this properly. I realise this may seem trivial to some people. But when brunch approaches $50, I think it's reasonable to expect a straightforward order to be taken carefully and a mistake to be put right. I'm a restaurant server myself. Mistakes happen, but if I made one that meant a customer couldn't enjoy their meal, I would expect that meal to be comped. There were six or seven empty tables and another two hours until closing, so the restaurant didn't appear overwhelmed. I expressed my disappointment politely and respectfully to the manager, but I won't be returning.

For lunch, I ordered the Loaded Chilaquiles. As a guy, the portion size of this was massive for me! Two people can honestly share this dish. These weren't the best chilaquiles I've had, but the portion size relative to the price made up for it. The chips were relatively crispy and there was a generous amount of asada meat (you can choose your choice of meat). I got this with the green sauce and it was a good amount of spice heat for me. Overall, this was a solid dish. I also ordered the banana bread slice which was also large. The slice wasn't dry and was pretty good and comforting.
