The restaurant is described as Mediterranean but it's not exactly that. Grilled sardine appetizer - very good. My husband had bouillabaisse which he enjoyed and I had the truffle rigatoni. Good wine selection and if we had been able to finish a bottle between the 2 of us, there were some great wines from Italy there. Attentive service. White tablecloths but not a fussy restaurant. I just realized I forgot to review this (2017). The BEST schnitzel ever! The place is a bit more formal but it's worth looking presentable for. I'm sure a sports coat for the guys is good enough. Some of the better food I had in Baden-Baden, though a little uneven and not *quite* to the standard I would have expected for the price. The thai curry soup with grilled scallops was excellent. The texture was silky and light, but very flavorful and the scallops were cooked perfectly. The beef carpaccio was not quite as good, though I've no real complaints about it. I was, however, pretty disappointed by the Sicilian burrata. The tomatoes were bland and not as ripe as you'd hope; I would stay away from that one. Staff was efficient and friendly and - with the exception of the burrata - made excellent wine and food recommendations. When the weather is warm, sitting outside on the patio is really pleasant. read more

The place location is near the alley, so you can easily have a dinner/lunch after the walk. A lot of parking lots, make it possible even if your hotel is far away from the place. Very nice and friendly staff. Some of the dishes are really amazing, others are very good only. read more

Best meal I've had this trip. I had the Wiener schnitzel. When they realized I was American they offered me ice for my drink. Very very nice staff! The others at my table had ravioli and fish soup. Delicious all around. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!RATS AND FROZEN STEAK!!!!at the end of the frozen steak meal a large rat ran across my feet. I ran to tell the waiter and he laughed saying we have mice too. he said the guy with the flute comes in the morning and this is why we eat outside. To be laughed at when you are clearly distressed is not nice. He said that is why we have a dog. This large dog was wandering around eating the scraps from the floor. They were full and only taking reservations. They offered for us to sit at the bar and we quickly took our seats:). The service was excellent all night. The house bread was soft and perfect. The salt was from Ibiza and may have been the best salt I have ever tasted. I ordered the spaghetti and king prawns. Everything was served al dented and it was divine. The mozzarella cheese covering the spaghetti made it that much better. The atmosphere was up beat and cozy at the same time. I walked out of the restaurant and directly on to the lichtentaler Allee. My husband and I went here during our recent stay in Baden Baden. I take quite a bit of time deciding where to go to eat. I look for many elements. One of the most important for me is atmosphere. So let me start there. The restaurant is very nice. Low lighting during dinner and the vibe is really nice. Not over the top nice, but cozy. The tables were a little close together which we didn't love, but after a few glasses of wine we didn't really mind. The menu is very good. Get the sushi starter. It was absolutely delicious and I am a sushi snob. We speak English and they had an English menu for us which really helped. I had the schnitzel and it was very yummy. My husband had the salmon and liked it. It came with pumpkin which he didn't care for. Dessert was a hit. I had Haagen Dazs ice cream and my husband had the chocolate soufflé. We both were very happy with what we chose. The prices are a little high but reasonable for a nice dinner out. Good choice! read more
