The servers were always present coming around with champagne and appetizers which was great. The docked starts were for the food and the smell. It was absolutely horrible and we stayed away from our table in that area as much as possible. I've never experienced this kind of thing at a venue before!

I was here attending a fundraising event, which also allowed me to sample some of the food and venue overall. Access is quite easy from the 400 & Langstaff. The washrooms and facility is clean and inviting and has a homey warmth to it, with the cream and white tones adding a touch of class and elegance (not to mention the glistening chandeliers). What I want to specifically comment on is the food. I was extremely happy with the prosciutto entree, and must HIGHLY recommend the ricotta tortellini. I am not praising it simply based on "banquet hall" standards (which sometimes fall on the lower end of the spectrum), but on restaurant standards overall. A truly exceptional pasta with a flavourful sauce. Our function took up the entire venue, offering two bars to choose from for a size of about 300 guests. Service was quick and friendly, and the wait staff were also very efficient and courteous. Overall, from a guest's perspective I was very happy with the venue and would recommend it to others to explore as an option to pursue in the area.

We can honestly say that after all the different Banquet Halls that we visited prior to making our selection, we made the right choice. Our journey began when we met with Joe Giglio, who was very welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. Joe offered us several different menu and decoration options which he took time to thoroughly explain to us in detail. We were able to choose from several different linen options which were all included in the cost of the reception. There were no unpleasant surprises or hidden costs when it came time to pay the balance owing for our celebration. Joe made our experience enjoyable and easy going, which was exactly what we wanted when dealing with all the other stresses from planning a wedding. There was a plethora of appetizer, main course and desert options available to us. We were able to customize our menu to meet our wants and needs, as well as the needs of our guests. There were several gluten free options as well as substitutions for guests with food allergies. From the starter soup to the main courses, the food was absolutely fantastic. The portions were very well sized and nobody left the reception hungry. We've gotten nothing but positive and gracious feedback from our guests in the weeks following our reception and everyone was not only satisfied but impressed with the quality and quantity of the meals they received. The customer service factor at the Presidente Banquet Hall was through the roof. The staff was not only welcoming and friendly, but the staff members all went out of their way to make sure that our special day went off without any problems or mishaps. The serving staff was extremely gracious and welcoming to our guests, which really made the night that much more enjoyable. The receiving line was well stocked with alcohol for the guests and bridal party to enjoy. The bartender was absolutely fantastic and made sure that our guests received whatever drinks they desired. Many of our guests have given nothing but high praises for the bartender since our reception, which tells us that nobody left disappointed. After all was said and done, we had a great experience which my wife and I will cherish and remember always. We are extremely satisfied with the experience we had at Presidente Banquet Hall and we plan to return in the future for any partied or celebrations which we may host. My wife and I would and have recommended Presidente Banquet Hal to our family, friends and co-workers.

The lobby area to host a cocktail hour can be small and tight if you have a big crowd attending your event. I like that there's an area for the bar that's outside in the lobby area for guests to get drinks. Once the reception started, they moved the bar inside the hall. The hall is massive and very spacious. Seats and tables were very comfortable. Staff were very nice. I also saw one manager running around with a walkie talkie to ensure the night was running smoothly with the kitchen and servers. The washrooms were clean and tidy. Lots of stalls in the women's washroom. There's an upstairs as well with a balcony, which I'm assuming is where the bridal suite is. Food wise, the quality was OK. I was hoping the food was better actually. The bread rolls were very hard. Salad and lasagna were good. And the chicken and beef were decent as well. I think dessert was a chocolate brownie cake, which was too sweet. The staff were efficient and kept refilling our water. There's lots of parking outside the venue. And there's a small hut outside for people to hang out as well. The only downside at banquet halls is how thin the walls are. When we were listening to the speeches, you can hear the party next door blasting their music. I like that there's also security at the doors, and the doormen were very nice, always opening the doors for us. Overall, it's a very nice venue, and I would recommend it.

I also found staff had a tendency to replace wine bottles and open another one -resulting to elevated per bottle charge for tables -for the host particularly. The lobby and the main room with lights dim does make it a challenge to take a selfie without flash. So get a good professional photographer to capture moments.

The tartar was a good size for an appetizer and I liked the assortment of crackers. The roast dinner was a good size piece and the harvest vegetables were cooked perfectly. There was a small dessert served as well. Overall, I was impressed with the service and dinner took around 3 hours total. I would return here again.

Unfortunately, the food wasn't as great as we had hoped for. While the hors d'œuvres were pretty good, the course meal was very luck lustre. The food definitely looked better than it tasted. My salad was decent. My steak was very tough, bland, and dry (more well-done when it should've been medium rare). My dessert was mediocre at best. I expected a lot more from a 5-star venue.

DO NOT BOOK THIS BANQUET HALL - Horrible Experience from Start to Finish…read more Our experience with this banquet hall was a complete disaster, and I would never recommend it to anyone, especially not for an important event like a wedding. Let's start with the bridal room -- or what they claim is a bridal room. When I asked Jeet to direct me to it, he told a staff member in Hindi to "clean it before taking her." I was then led down to the end of a dirty basement hallway and shown a few tiny, stuffy rooms with no AC and one barely working fan. It was one of the most disgusting spaces I've ever seen -- completely inappropriate for any bride. Next, the decor situation was a mess. We had hired a third-party vendor to decorate, but Jeet failed to remove decorations from a previous event. Our team had to work around their leftover decor, which made setup extremely cramped and chaotic. As guests began arriving, the carpets were still dirty. I had to ask the manager 3-4 times to get someone to vacuum, and by the time they did, it was already too late -- guests were walking in as a worker was vacuuming the floor. Jeet actually told us to keep the guests outside while they finished cleaning. Unbelievable. We were also charged extra -- a few hundred dollars -- for microphone and speaker use because we had organized speeches. However, the sound system didn't work at all. When we notified Jeet, he brushed it off saying they were "working on it" and asked us to wait. Obviously, we couldn't delay the entire event while they took their time trying to fix it. As for the food, we were told we'd receive authentic Afghan food from their partner, Riaz Catering. What we got was anything but Afghan cuisine. The food was bland and disappointing -- most of our guests didn't even eat. Later we realized that another Indian party downstairs had been served the exact same food, falsely labeled as Afghan. On top of that, they just left the food out all night without properly storing or managing it. To make matters worse, the temperature inside the hall kept rising throughout the night. While the AC was working in the beginning, it was clear they were turning it down (or off) to cut costs, making the atmosphere uncomfortable for all our guests. In summary: 0/10. Jeet and the entire management team were completely unprofessional and disorganized. From the venue conditions to the service and food -- everything was below acceptable standards. Do not waste your time, money, or peace of mind booking this hall. You will be disappointed and frustrated, just like we were.

Our Sales Consultant, Geraldine, and Event Coordinator, Danna, were so great to work with. They were so responsive and professional. They were able to help with any questions or concerns we had leading up to our wedding, and also provided many helpful suggestions for our event, including the layout and menu. Everything turned out wonderfully with their help. The day of staff were also great and very friendly. We had a couple of no shows, but they were nice enough to pack up all the extra food for us to take home. I had quite a packed schedule that day, but they brought us some food/hor d'oeuvres straight to our bridal suite to make sure we got to eat too. Really appreciated this gesture. Food wise, they definitely had a huge selection available. We opted with a standard 3 course dinner with pasta, 2 meats (chicken + beef) and crepe gelato. The food was good overall, except the beef was a little dry but that is to be expected when cooking for a large group. The accommodations for dietary restrictions were also great, we had eggplant parm for the vegetarian meal and I've heard good things about it! Our hor d'oeuvres and late night station (pub crawl) were also really popular; it's been a month but people are still raving about it when they see us! We are so happy that we chose this venue for our wedding. It was an absolutely perfect night!
