My wife and I hosted a wedding on July 9th and have only good things to say. Everything went smoothly, and Teri was friendly and accommodating. What we especially liked was that unlike a lot of places we were allowed to have our own caterer and buy our own alcohol, allowing for a lot more flexibility than at similar venues. Convenient location, lots of parking, friendly staff and no problems to speak of. Only minor issue is that we had about 175 people there which was roughly the capacity of the room, but probably a bit too much if you plan on having a dance floor. We heard from her that there was an event hosted about a month prior where guests were turned down alcohol towards the end of the night, but we had no issues of the sort despite the fact that we had quite a few heavy drinkers. To be fair we did pay a bit extra for security (which she recommended early on, and I understand why), and I guess that made her a lot more comfortable about serving as much as people wanted even though some were quite wobbly by the end of the night. There may be some truth to the criticisms that were raised but like always there're two sides to the story, and from the experience my wife and our families had with terri we found her to be a reasonable and polite person. My advice would just to do your research and clear up the details about what you'll be getting and not getting before you sign the contract, and these issues won't come up. Overaly it was a very reasonably priced evening, with tasteful décor and no unexpected issues to speak of. Would recommend. read more

I couldn't of been happier with this venue and working with Teri who is the owner, The minute I actually saw it I knew it was the right place for my Husband's 60th. birthday bash! It's different, original, an open concept area, industrial/speakeasy style with an Andy Warhol vibe and boho chic with those beautiful huge chandeliers. As for working with Teri, we hit it off right-o-way. She listened to what I was looking for and wanted first. We talked about budget and she made some suggestions, never any pressure to chose her venue, Once we made a go of it, she helped me out a lot, worked with the catering company to coordinate, even suggested some vendors,,,she was at the event and she personally supervised it, her staff are nice and efficient. I have hosted two company parties and a few private ones here at The Factory Lounge. We were more than pleased with how things turned out. Teri was always available to confirm changes and allow for modifications to the venue booking requirements. Everyone partied as much as they wanted but responsibly. I have read a few of the posts below and find it sad that people value getting drunk over having a good time while behaving responsibly. People often forget that the venues and staff that host us are liable for our safety and therefore must sometimes restrict drinking. I actually respect The Factory Lounge even more for caring enough to make that tough call and imposing these restrictions for over drinking. If you care about getting home safely and not making a fool of yourself than pick a venue that values this as well. The Factory Lounge is a great place to have a party. read more

We had the pleasure of hosting our son's Bar Mitzvah at The Factory Lounge a couple of weeks ago. The morning service and the evening party took place on the same day only a few hours apart. Teri and her staff managed to transition the room from a lovely modest brunch to an extravagantly cool nightclub atmosphere. Each activity throughout the night flowed seamlessly from the guest of honour's entrance in a car, to the serving of the food, to the arrival of the ice cream truck. It was a day to remember for all of us but it couldn't have happened without the guidance, advice and efficiency of Teri and her staff! read more

I've hosted several events at Factory including just recently this past Sunday for my Nieces Bat-mitzvah. Teri and her staff are from my experiences the most laid back team in the industry! They went above and beyond to ensure we had the best of times. The vendors she recommended including Catering by Chef On The Go was amazing, DJ through Bounce Entertainment made the night and the bar and serving staff were all very friendly. Don't let a few negative reviews sway you... still one of the best venues in the area to use for events, and our family and friends will continue to use it! read more

I was super happy with this venue, Teri was so great to work with. She answered my emails promptly and really helped me to work within my budget. She made what could have been a very stressful time planning very easy, and went out of her way to let me access the venue to setup at a time the was convenient for me (and probably very inconvenient for her!).
