I ended up being double-booked with another client. I did not know this and I wish I'd been told this before arriving. Although I would have preferred to receive un-divided attention, I could tell Christi knew what she was doing! Quiet moments were relaxing not awkward. I would definitely recommend her to a friend. The location is very unique, kind of a group of one-room private salons, nail shops, etc. Purelux is a private salon with just two stylists and two chairs. This was a unique experience. Purelux uses Wella color, which left my hair very soft. I would recommend going up a shade darker as mine washed out a little over the week. read more

I was looking for a new hair stylist as I had lost mine a few months ago and I was also looking for someone my age, I had type in hair dye and salons on yelp in my area and selected the little box that was for deals with the little dollar and her salon popped up. I ended up calling her and setting up an apt, I took a look at her website and I was like I know her from somewhere, in short I met her and we got to talking and we had gone to high school together, she was as nice then as she is now! Anyways I think I kept bugging her before my appt as I was having trouble with my transportation and I also wanted to change my color a partial wild color and that is a bit difficult to find in hair salons in doing abstract colors. She was always friendly and polite. During our time she was professional and made me feel very comfortable. I found Purelux Salon via the internet, while looking for salons in Arvada, CO. Purelux Salon is inside Sola Salons. I texted the number listed for Scott, one of the hair stylists. He texted me back right away. I told Scott that I was a mess and a bottle of wine away from shaving it all off. He texted me back and told me not to worry. He would make me feel pretty and sassy again. Scott delivered. I felt better that I had in months. My hair looks amazing. I gave him total control to do whatever he thought would look good. He put several shades of firey red in my hair and layered it in a Joan Jett-ish looking long shag. I look like one hot momma now. I highly recommend Scott and will be seeing him again. read more

I have lived in Colorado for 10 years, before that England. Since I have been here I have not been able to find a good stylist, one who did what I asked.. Christi Campbell was amazing! She is also very personable and down to earth. I ended up using a groupon and it was so worth it. I asked for natural looking blonde highlights, a trim, long layers, and thinning. I couldn't be more happy with the results. My appt was only supposed to last a little over an hour but she uses tons of foils to make the blonde highlights natural looking, the appt took 3 hours but not once did she try to rush anything or skimp. She is also one of the first American stylists that even asked me which toner I would prefer, after the highlights. She showed me the colored hair strands and I was able to choose the color I wanted. I think most stylists wing it and hope for the best. Everything she did seemed very controlled and structured, she really knew what she was doing. I am not sure why but the appt link on their website makes Christi seem like a novice but she is def a professional that knows what she is doing. I did go into the appt blind and was really worried. I am just really happy with results, I am so used to coming home from a hair salon practically in tears. I can't tell you how many times my hair fell out- it processes fast. I have traveled all over the world and have been to hair stylists all over the world (including the Middle East, Japan, Korea, Romania, Frankfurt and of course, America) and never have I ever experienced this bad of customer service. 1) I was kind enough to tell Brittany that I have "fashion" colors in my hair, so she will need to bleach my hair prior to dying it, she said no problem! We'll hook you up with a consultation 2) consultation never happened. No one ever answered my phone calls, texts or emails to set up a consultation. 3) I waited two weeks for my appointment and 3 days prior to my appointment, Brittany cancelled it. She didn't even have the courtesy of calling me! I had to find out via email. Rude! 4) I'm not from Denver, my husband is, but I am sure to tell all my friends that live here to avoid this place. They clearly don't want your money and don't care about their customers. I was even very flexible with my schedule (since I'm out for winter break, I was willing to come in any time/day of the week for the consultation which I clearly stated multiple times). 5) The only thing I can think as to why they won't touch my hair is inexperience. Ladies, do yourself a favor and steer clear of these stuck up snobs. I'll take my business elsewhere. read more
