Warning. They have behavioral meds to control residents. Found they have been giving to my parent…read morewithout family being told about it, or consenting. I asked for the MAR, and her records. Have never gotten them. Now they are being very aggressive and seeking guardianship without telling us. I asked why. Nicole said "they want whats best for her". Really? She is not an institution person. And this is not the best place. No nature, no outings, food low level, drug them, how is any of that the best for my parent? They do not have her health records still. The NP Aaron Misiuk made up some new DX without any testing or evidence. I gave some of parent health records to the doc and Brookdale. Neither of them put them in. They know where the records are. They still have not put her severe allergy to 2 antibiotics. NP Aaron gave her antibiotics, and she had a serious reaction of being very dizzy and who knows what else, and could not get up. She was very dehydrated. they brought a cup of tap water that she could not reach. she was not able to hardly get up for 2 weeks. Also said she is a flight risk, which is a complete lie. Just trying to frame her so they could medicate her, which they have and are. This is against the law. They charge almost $13K a month. PT/OT a joke. 2 exercises. Doc giving her a drug now that could kill her bc he said to give at bedtime, and FDA specific warning to give 4 hours before bed. and very dangerous to mix with the other med she is taking. He DX Low blood pressure which she does not have. It constricts the blood vessels to raise. Did not want me to know about it. And she is getting worse. Jessica Yaeger placed her there, city council, and board of Corbin, is also to be questioned. Mom was not a danger to herself. She could be left alone. She does not wander, or resist. and this is the most expensive place in town. she could not afford this! The food, wow! Lowest grade food. The other day they were eating cheese sandwiches on the cheapest bread, not even made, with chips, and a cookie. No juice, just water. They give cranberry juice cocktail if they give juice. Not even 100%. Nutrition for memory care is the most important thing. Very little fish, no avocado, no bottled water around, or open water they can go get. They take them no where. Ombudsman that should help, and APS also in cahoots with these guys. No justice here. I hope this helps some people, bc its not going to be good for me. But people should be warned. Might save a life or 2. God is a mighty God and He reigns over heaven and Earth. Praises to our Almighty God! Alleluyah!

When you add to that the fact that for two months after my mother went into hospice, they charged 240 OxyContin and 120 hydrocodone to her account I couldn't even take that much much less my almost 100-year-old mother and if they did pump that much into her I'm not surprised that she passed. And now the company that's trying to collect the money from me for all this medication And Brookdale are just pointing at each other and putting me in the middle to figure it out. Not a horrible place. If you don't mind the smell of urine beyond that I just don't know what to say. Nobody will call me back nobody's ever available when I make a call so my next move is to recontact DEA and the district attorney in Spokane.

This assisted living facility is NOT what we were told they would have available. Bait & Switch!…read moreBring back Robert. We were sold a bill of goods that did not come to light. The food has gone down hill, plus they run out of their main menu items all the time. The outings and outside activities are lack luster and don't happen as frequently as our family member would like. We absolutely Love the Activities Coordinator. We need to see better and more often outings outside of the facilities. Transition with medications while moving in was horrible for the 1st 60 days. Rite Aid to OmniCare. Really?!?!? We were told by staff that our family member would be on Level 1 Care and is billed for Level 2 Care since the beginning.

Everyone thought my MIL was declining rapidly and could never turn around again. Fields thought otherwise. Within 3 days of being at Fields, she has gone back to where she was health, happiness and cognitive wise to at least a year ago, and every day she gets exponentially better! It's incredible! First, the decor, cleanliness, quality of the build, the furnishings, the finish work, and beauty of the facility is beyond compare. Very classy, not cluttered, but honey and comfortable feeling, lovely artwork, with incredible taste. All staff members are committed to the cleanliness of the place and will pick up even the tiniest things they find to ensure spotlessness. The outdoors is fantastic as well! The furniture was selected with the utmost consideration to the elderly. Clearly someone with occupational therapy knowledge purchased it. The chairs all have arms on them, are firm in the cushion, and at a perfect height to make them very easy for the elderly to get in and out of. There are a lot of chairs in this place, and I haven't found one yet that wasn't perfect for elderly. The chairs in the dining room have wheels on the back, but not the front so they will slide easily, but also won't slide away when the resident sits down. Very safe! The food is outstanding, and the chef committed to listening to the opinion of the residents if there is something they didn't like as much, or that they want to see more of, they want to please. The wait and kitchen staff aim to please, remember the resident's names, and make them feel like they're in the fanciest restaurant in town. My MIL at first was asking if we needed to pay at the end of the meal since she was not used to this kind of service. But she learned quickly it was all part of the package. The dining room is big, bright and beautiful and often the residents are lucky enough to hear a resident play some music on the baby grand in the dining room! Quite a treat! The rooms are quite spacious and feel like home! The kitchens are superior to other facilties and are nice and open and offer only what you need and nothing you don't. But the biggest seller for my MIL was the bathrooms where the residents are allowed private showers of their own (not a community shower down the hall) with the special added bonus of a thermostat in the bathroom and the heat blowing out by the shower! She loves the fact she can stay toasty warm while getting ready for the shower or bed. The Care staff is committed to getting to know my MIL and meet all her unique needs and personality quirks, and keeping her as independent as possible, for as long as possible while assisting whenever and wherever she needs them. This is critical for my MIL's health and well-being, but also for her sanity and sense of humanity. It gives her confidence and makes her happy again. I haven't seen her smile like this in what seems like ages after her terrible experience elsewhere. The nursing care and the commitment to getting better, not just making residents comfortable, or waiting for them to die, or helping that along like some facilities, is spectacular. Fields is going to be having an eye doctor that comes in and does all but surgeries at the facility! A wonder! They are lining up all kinds of specialists to meet the needs of my MIL and enable her to recover from the damage caused at her previous facility. And the family doesn't have to worry about the appointments one bit. There is a lovely hair, nail and pedicure salon on site, a perfect fitness center with just what they need, and even a gorgeous movie theater with movie popcorn and leather recliners. Marnie, Robert, Debra, Dylan, Rylee, and all the staff have made my MIL safe, better and happy. We cannot ask for more than that. Thank you all. You have saved her. God bless you for what you do.

They will send random people that have never been to your home and not introduce them to the family or give them directions on what needs to be done. When they do show up to introduce a caregiver it is too quick and they tell them to ask the patient. I have had to call and share my frustration with the office more than once about this and it never changes. In the 2 years we used them we have gone thru over 10 caregivers. The best one they have left is Rubi. They also will change the schedule without notifying you they have done so. It is a very poorly ran company.

My mom died unexpectedly I took a week and half off and they started pulling my shifts saying they thought I quit! I called back and told them no my mom just passed and I was the one that had to deal with everything, I went back to work because I needed my job and cared for my clients, I have health conditions they were aware of, and because I went back too early I got pretty sick took a couple weeks off and was required to get a Doctors note, which I did and Then they fired me! I was warned by a staff member that gave her two weeks notice that they take your bonuses you earned as soon as you give notice! my daughter got a second job because they never gave her the 40 hours she asked for then said it's because she doesn't take the extra shifts available outside of her time available, she gave her new hours and they basically fired her by saying they thought she quit, also taking her earned bonus well! There are many other compassionate companies to hire for a loved ones care, if they treat their employees this way then they obviously can't care about their client! I've seen clients miss out on having a caregiver because of how they treat their employees, as well as being charged for a last minute cancellation while they are not held to the same standards! I had a client request specific hours I told them I could work those hours and instead they worked multiple care givers and did they hours they wanted to do instead!

My mother opened an AFH in Spokane and we ended up taking care of my boyfriend's grandmother and ended up reuniting his father with his mother whom he had not seen or heard from in over forty years. It was one of the things that steered my final decision towards caregiving; making a difference and the unexpected soul-touching moments. I might just have caregiving in my blood as my mother was an LPN and my great-aunt an RN. I have worked as an independent contractor caregiver, in AFHs and through agencies and of all the places that I've worked throughout my time as first an NAC and then as a CNA I have to say my favorite has been/is "Home Care Assistance". It's evident from the start that they care about their employees as well as their clients and the managing staff in Liberty Lake are beyond amazing. They all need to be honored and recognized for their hard work; Tia and Amy and Jen and Brandie should all get an award for going above and beyond mere management duties. I wouldn't want to work for any other agency ever. I am really happy that they, and all the clients I've been assigned to so far, really seem to like me because I plan on staying on for as long as they'll have me. They've got themselves a happy, experienced, very loyal employee right here. If you're a caregiver and are good at your job and can show it and love people and are currently looking for work then I wouldn't hesitate to apply with this company. Sincerely, AEB, CNA at HCA (Current Employee)
