When I first started coming in to 180 I was having issues with chronic fatigue. The purpose of my visit was to take care of my back, but Dr. Josh helped me with my fatigue as well. I had seen 3 other doctors prior to that visit, and he was the only one who had a solution for me. I am so grateful for Dr. Josh's help. They treat you like family here and are genuinely invested in your health. As long as I live in Spokane, this will be my place!

I was used to the chiropractors that twist you around to pop your back, which was always hard on my hips. Dr. Josh doesn't do that. Instead he has this neat table that lifts up a tiny bit and then pops down. So Dr. Josh lifts the correct section of the table and then pushes on your back. The table pops down and so does your spine, but it's very gentle. And if that doesn't work, he has this tool that looks like a drill with 2 large plastic prongs coming out of it, instead of a drill bit . Those prongs move in and out of the "drill" very quickly, and it can gently pound a vertebrae back in, or even tap out knots in your shoulders (which feels awesome). Whenever I have a stubborn sublaxation (vertebrae out of place), Dr. Josh always ends up finding a way to get it back in place, even when he has to try a few different methods. Another cool thing is that I'm pregnant now, and Dr. Josh is still able to adjust me! It's thanks to his special table and some special pillows with a hole cut out for my belly. The chiropractor I saw for my first pregnancy couldn't adjust me once I started showing. I have to say, it's so nice to be able get adjustments for my entire term! Dr. Josh is always popping my hips back into place. Plus, he can do your whole skeleton, not just your spine, so he has been fixing my ankle for me too. I first went to Dr. Josh 4 years ago in severe pain that was making it hard to work. He got me in the day I called and after my appointment I already felt such relief that I could focus on work much better. Within a month I was back to normal. I've continued to see him since then for maintenance, so I don't find myself in that terrible pain again (because it happened because I had stopped seeing a chiropractor for a while). Everyone is different, and most won't have to see him as much as I have. I have some back problems. He does his best to get you all fixed up with frequent adjustments and exercises you do at home to strengthen your back so it stays in proper alignment better. He's truly interested in helping you to get better, not signing you up to see him for the rest of your life. And the best part is that chiropractic is drug-free and actually corrects the problem instead of just masking the symptoms. I definitely recommend 180 Chiropractic. I have already sent friends and family there and they have all been very happy with their care. 180 Chiropractic accepts insurance, or you can pay cash too. Their fees are very reasonable. Edit: Dr. Josh doesn't accept insurance anymore. You can pay cash/credit for a single visit, or you can become a member of his practice for a monthly fee. That membership entitles you to 4 visits a month, and if you do all 4, you save a lot of money compared to most insurance copays. He also has a family membership where everyone in your immediate family gets 4 visits a month, so you can really save big with that plan! I love this. Finally I can afford to go once a week like I felt I needed, and no more do I have to deal with my insurance telling me I'm not in enough pain to get adjusted. (I'm not in pain anymore BECAUSE I get adjusted routinely.)

Doctor Stowell examined me and quickly diagnosed my condition. The Dr ordered an MRI and prescribed medication for my ailment. I returned a couple of weeks later after the MRI and the doctor reviewed it. The doctor recommended I do not have a knee surgery . Instead he recommended I get a cortisone injection. I have been pain free for about 6 months. I returned several months later for pain in my heal. The examining foot doctor diagnosed plantar fasciitis and ordered physical therapy. The therapist indicated that the fasciitis is a result of chronic tightness in the calf muscle. The therapist performed a muscle relaxation massage on the calf and several stretches. Those exercises worked great!!

I waited nearly three months to see Dr. Richard Lee Stowell, under the guidance of my physical therapist. When I finally got in, the visit lasted barely five minutes, with no meaningful examination, no new information, and no real plan. Instead, I was referred for a $500 MRI at Post Falls Emergency Hospital -- a facility the news is currently spotlighting for billing and arbitration practices. I later learned this MRI referral was tied to OSL and its partners, something that was never explained. Privacy was another major issue. During what should have been a confidential consultation, eight different people came in and out of the room with no introduction and no request for my consent. I did not agree to discuss my personal medical information in front of them. Despite being told to "come in ASAP" because the condition could be serious, the follow-up appointment was pushed out another 3-4 weeks, first to August 25 and then to August 27, with no explanation. The urgency they expressed simply wasn't reflected in their actions. When I finally emailed saying I would not be returning, the office manager called twice -- once to apologize and once to offer a refund of the $250 I paid upfront, asking me to come in and sign for the release of my records. I signed the release, but the imaging from the follow-up was never provided to me. Later, I received a letter stating the clinic was "terminating" me as a patient, even though I had already ended the relationship myself. The letter had no clinical purpose and felt like after-the-fact paperwork cleanup rather than genuine medical follow-up. This wasn't a simple scheduling mix-up. In my experience, it was a pattern: * Urgency stated, then ignored * Patient privacy overlooked * Administrative promises not kept * Records handled questionably * A referral pipeline tied to a facility now in the news for its billing practices Northern Idaho patients deserve better -- better coordination, better privacy, and better follow-through than what I experienced here.

The nurse who wheeled me out to the car whose name I didn't catch was also very friendly and made sure I was moving correctly when getting into our Jeep. Everyone here was awesome! Chiropractic has been a huge part of my life since I was 8 years old and have been through multiple chiropractic offices. I like to live an active lifestyle but over the past decade debilitating lower back and hip pain sidelined me from doing the the things I love....golf being at the top of the list. After a few hard years dealing with the pain My wife turned me on to Summit Family. Dr. Ryan was confident he could get me to a place of being pain free. I was very skeptical as I've had many family doctors. Physical therapists and other chiropractors say similar things. I was beginning to feel like a test subject and didn't have much faith. But there was something different about Summit Family's approach. It's not your standard in and out adjustment. They have you do a simple warm up to get your body loose before getting adjusted and this was a game changer for me. I adjust much easier now and am not so tense while getting adjusted. Above and beyond that I trusted Dr. Ryan when he said he was confident in helping me. I have been in Summit Family's care for about a year now. I an happy to say that I am almost 100% pain free and have been for 6+ months. I only have little flair ups every so often. This wasn't a super quick process, I had to put the work in as well but with the help of Summit Family and following Dr. Ryan's advice I am back to playing golf and doing things I haven't done in years. Thank you Summit Family!!! Also.. If you give this place a shot don't get stuck on which Chiropractor sees you. They all do an amazing job under Dr. Ryan Sousley's direction and leadership.

Just know after ur first appointment the rest of your appointments will be 5 minutes. Didn't help my pain at all, not even one bit. So I would drive 25 minutes, usually wait 5-15 minutes after checking in and then only be seen for 5 minutes. For massage, the male masseuse I had made me extremely uncomfortable..was lecturing me and non stop talking during my appointment. I specifically asked for a female masseuse after that and they kept scheduling me with men so why would I show up to the appointment??
