They have found my Father a couple caregivers that are amazing. I worked with Donna, Joni, Ayla to find the exact right fit for my Father. I fully trust the caregivers who take such excellent care of him. They are dependable, proficient and extremely helpful. Caregiving is a skill that requires much patience, and compassion, and that is exactly what I have found in the caretakers who care for my Father. He needs a lot of help and attention. I am so happy with my caregivers. Most importantly they have really made a positive impact on him (he has Alzheimers). He has truly established a bond with them, and I can't imagine not having their help. I spent many months caring for him alone, and now I am freed up to work, and rely on them to take care of all his needs from exercise, to feeding, to companionship, to engaging him in activities. And, if/when there is any downtime, they are taking care of light household duties. They lifted a huge stress and burden from me trying to do things by myself. Angel care has truly been a blessing.!! I am very thankful, and they truly are "Angels".

From the very beginning, their caregivers were compassionate, dependable, and respectful of his dignity. Every person who came into his home treated him with such kindness and professionalism, and it gave our whole family peace of mind knowing he was in such good hands. When it became clear that it was time for him to move to assisted living, we had no idea where to start -- but Donna guided us through the process with so much care and expertise. She listened to our concerns, asked thoughtful questions about his personality and needs, and helped us find the perfect fit. Her placement services were truly invaluable. As my dad neared the end of his life, Donna and the Angel team didn't just step back -- they stepped in even closer. Their support during those final weeks was compassionate and unwavering. They helped our family navigate a deeply emotional time with grace and warmth, making sure Dad felt comforted and cared for every step of the way. I can't thank Angel Senior Care and Donna Young enough for the love, professionalism, and support they gave us throughout every phase of this journey. They are an absolute blessing.

She sent in a trainee to give me a new medication that I was very hesitant to accept from someone who didn't even read my medical history to know that would not be the safest medication for someone with one kidney. Zimmer didn't even step in the room to see me or discuss the new medication. I tried to pay the co-pay when I got to the appointment but they declined. I rec'd a bill and paid my bill via mail, using and FSA debit card, and when I was charged for more than the bill indicated, or that I signed for, I called to ask for the corrected documentation. The accounts person was so combative I finally had to end the call with no resolution. Right from the start she was unwilling to listen to the problem and work with me to find a resolution. All I needed was a new invoice with the amount they charged my card to send in for the FSA, it's a legal requirement (thanks gov't). The person said that's not possible b/c they don't do any of their own invoicing. They don't even process their own credit cards, they are completed by a third party! When I explained that I didn't sign the invoice/bill statement to be charged a different amount (isn't this somehow against the law?) she just yelled and continued to repeat herself that I didn't understand. WOW! Don't think I have ever had such a horrible experience with someone who is supposed to be in a service role, ever. Should have listened to my gut from the first call when trying to set an appointment, b/c that person was also very curt and devoid of human kindness, and chosen another practice. In summary, find a practice with their act together. Your medical care is too important to be entrusted to a badly managed practice, with hostile employees.

Unfortunately, my recent experience with my sister was completely different. She was placed toward the back of the building, and the smell in that area was overwhelming to the point of making me sick. When I walked into her room, the floor was sticky as if urine had been spilled and not cleaned properly. I asked the housekeeper if she could mop the floor again, and she told me "No -- period." On my next visit, the floor was still sticky, and staff claimed it was due to the cleaning solution they were using. This is unacceptable. The conditions have deteriorated drastically, and the facility is no longer providing the level of care it once did.

The cancer kicked off an immune response that caused her to suffer from memory Loss Mental Confusion and Seizures that nearly killed her. My Mother was recovering from seizures caused by a small cell lung cancer and was moved from Sacred Heart Hospital to Spokane Falls to recover. When my Mother was checked into Spokane Falls she had with her several personal belongings including a book shelve her portable stereo and her wallet with her debit card and ID among other items. She also had a Fall Risk condition which brings me to the first problem with Spokane Falls, their staff do not understand what "Fall Risk" means as my mother was admited with a Fall Risk Classification, yet staff consistently let her get out of Bed and move around on her own. She fell and got stuck between a toilet and the wall in her bathroom causing a trip by ambulance to Holy Family Hospital. While at Holy Family they had noticed my Mother had several fall related head injuries. She also received chemo treatment while there. After Treatment, Holy Family Transferred her back to Spokane Falls. However upon arriving back at Holy Family my Mother started having seizure again. Spokane Falls sent her back to Holy Family who eventually transferred her back to the ICU at Sacred Heart. My mothers condition declined to the point that she was removed from Life support and put into palliative care. My sister and I went to recover my Mothers personal belongings specifically her wallet with ID and Debit Card as she was dying. Unfortunately, this brings me to the second major problem with Spokane Falls, they lost all of my mothers belongings. They tried to say she took them with her but there are 2 problems with that story. First my mother was never in the condition to do so, Secondly she had way to many belongings to take on an ambulance .... There was no way they are going to let you load a book shelf onto an Ambulance. We checked with Holy Family, Sacred Heart and AMR ambulance service and none of them knew anything about my mothers belongings. AMR outright denied that the took on any of her items. We even visited the hospitals. We checked my mothers latest banks statement. She should not have a single transaction on it this year (She has been hospitalized or in a care facility with limited mental capacity since December 2024. Her latest statement has some large transactions on it. Currently we do not know if these are auto payments or manual withdraws. When this is over my sister an I will be getting the Spokane County District attorneys office, law enforcement, Washington state department of human services, and federal regulators involved. So in short if you truly love your loved one needing care DO NOT SEND THEM or LET THEM GET SENT TO Spokane Falls. Your love one will not receive adequate humane care and their belongs will more than likely get stolen or come up missing.
