I returned in February 2018 and I was amazed that the building was even better than I remembered! The entire facility had been upgraded, we still had most of the amazing staff that was there from 2009 and I had the privilege of meeting and working with new employees. We have such an amazing team, nursing staff who truly care for residents like they were family, and a phenomenal rehab team that will make a huge difference in your recovery! When you place your family at a skilled nursing home, whether it be for rehab or for long term care, you should feel like home when you walk in the building. You should see a clean facility with content residents. You should be greeted at the front door with staff who help you with any concerns. I know there are negative reviews out there, but from your first step in to the building you will see the difference. We aren't perfect, but we do learn from our mistakes and we educate to make sure that our residents have the best care possible. The best feeling is when we get to see our residents successfully graduate from our program and walk out of the doors! Life Care Center of Coeur d'Alene is a great place to stay, a great place to work, and I welcome everyone to come tour and see the difference!

We've recently moved my Grandmother and are desperately trying to get her healthy again. My Grandmother did not get needed medication for 3 weeks, it ended up being stopped suddenly which made her anxiety and dementia exasperated. When trying to talk to any staff, NO ONE EVER TAKES RESPONSIBILITY. It's always someone else's fault, that no longer works there. No apologies, no accountability. We were also told that when my Grandmothers LIFE SAVINGS had been exhausted she would be able to continue staying at Pacifica on Medicaid. Concerned because there had been SO many things that changed or were not true, we made an appointment to discuss this and other issues. We were immediately told NO she couldn't stay and again, It was the old employees fault for telling us that. It was always filthy, they are always short staffed and the urine smell is awful. When we moved my Grandmother out it became even more obvious how poorly she was cared for with the amount of dirt everywhere. They are building MORE houses and I'm wondering how they will be able to handle more residents? If you're lured in with the new construction, be sure you go over every single detail, because you can not take anyone's word. And if you have a loved one move in, be sure to be there every single day, be there for every doctor appointment, make sure you are aware of every medication. Basically, micromanage every little detail because you can not trust them to truly take care of your person.

Not even the courtesy of one call back I've been calling these people for weeks. I've been nicely asking them to go over things with me and Kirk was very rude to my dad. He had just lost his wife and all they care about is money this place disgusts me. They're trying to charge us to renovate a room after we left it better than we got it. It was cleaned and the items were removed. These people only care about money. Be careful before you put your loved one here they'll act nice to your face, but as soon as the money stops, they could give a crap about you or your family! So to all you people over there with the fancy titles, you don't deserve them. You don't have the courtesy to call a person back asking for you to explain why you're charging for care and room and board the month after the person has passed away. This is a violation of CMS and Medicare. All you to say is refer to some paperwork, but you can't tell me which paperwork and where it is, you guys are a joke. I've been patient. I've been calling for weeks leaving messages. No one can call me back. You guys should be ashamed of yourselves. I'd like to thank Heidi, who has been able to help in her capacity and Jennifer the nurse at the location but other than that once the titles get higher, you people are despicable treating an older man who had just lost his wife like he's stupid and shove him out the door with an excuse of go read your paperwork. not acceptable! Watch out for Kirk. He cannot keep up with his lies. He says one thing to somebody, and then says something to somebody else he contradicted himself to me in the same day. Horizon Hospice gave excellent and compassionate care to my aunt during her time on hospice. All the nurses and social workers were so caring and supportive, very responsive to any change in her condition. Their amazing volunteers came and visited with her when family was unable to. I cannot say enough about the care she received. They were there for both my aunt and the family throughout her final journey.

My mother opened an AFH in Spokane and we ended up taking care of my boyfriend's grandmother and ended up reuniting his father with his mother whom he had not seen or heard from in over forty years. It was one of the things that steered my final decision towards caregiving; making a difference and the unexpected soul-touching moments. I might just have caregiving in my blood as my mother was an LPN and my great-aunt an RN. I have worked as an independent contractor caregiver, in AFHs and through agencies and of all the places that I've worked throughout my time as first an NAC and then as a CNA I have to say my favorite has been/is "Home Care Assistance". It's evident from the start that they care about their employees as well as their clients and the managing staff in Liberty Lake are beyond amazing. They all need to be honored and recognized for their hard work; Tia and Amy and Jen and Brandie should all get an award for going above and beyond mere management duties. I wouldn't want to work for any other agency ever. I am really happy that they, and all the clients I've been assigned to so far, really seem to like me because I plan on staying on for as long as they'll have me. They've got themselves a happy, experienced, very loyal employee right here. I Would Not Recommend TheKey Home Care…read more My wife has Alzheimer's, I have cancer, and we genuinely need dependable help in our home. Unfortunately, our experience with TheKey caused us more worry instead of giving us peace of mind. We had serious concerns about the caregivers assigned to us. I had reason to believe that one caregiver stole from our home, while another behaved in a way that I considered emotionally unstable. When a company sends someone into the home of a vulnerable person, careful screening, supervision, and accountability are essential. Based on our experience, I do not believe TheKey met that responsibility. When I was hospitalized for three days, a manager from TheKey helped arrange around-the-clock care for my wife. I appreciate that she was not left alone, but the resulting charge was nearly $4,000. That money was taken from my checking account and created serious financial hardship for us. I served in the United States Navy for 32 years, and the VA referred us to this company. I had hoped the VA and TheKey would provide safe, trustworthy, and affordable assistance. Instead, we were left with concerns about caregiver conduct, inadequate screening, and an expense we could not afford. My wife and I remain in serious need of help, but after what happened, we will not use TheKey again. Based on our personal experience, I cannot recommend placing a vulnerable family member in their care.

Instead of making it right and canceling that and reading their notes about which card to refund too, and also, calling to verify if that is a good card, they just refunded it incorrectly. Then instead of answering my emails, are calling to try and figure it out and work it out. I informed you of exactly how to make it right, and yes I was in billing and insurance so making excuses is not my favorite thing and shows unprofessionalism. Until this situation is resolved CORRECTLY, I will not be "on the phone" you can reach me via email, since you didn't want to answer my call for 5 weeks regarding this issue. Thanks.

The medical equipment supplier was prompt and efficient, ensuring my father had everything he needed to be comfortable at home. It was a blessing to see how quickly and smoothly everything came together. This support helped me prepare for what I knew was inevitable. The nursing staff, Crickett and Mary, were invaluable. Their care, compassion, and thorough explanations on how to manage my father's needs exceeded my expectations. I never had to worry about reaching out for help--everything I needed was delivered immediately, and the support was truly outstanding, as well as many others I never met behind the scenes. When my father passed, Hospice of Spokane handled the arrangements with the funeral home, easing the burden during this difficult time.
