I have purchased my Nissan in 2021 and have been a customer for 4 years. The service department has proven to be disappointing. The check engine light has been on since May and I have had 2 appointments canceled to fix this. I finally got into my appointment to learn what I will need to fix the problem but was told I would have to wait for approval to see if my part and labor are covered due to me having bought a plan to cover this. I was also told I would have to wait 4 hours to get this service done by the manager of the service department.I talked to the Main manager Tim Drawson who assured me I am covered by my plan and someone will contact me to set appointment up.I have not been contacted yet to get a new appointment time. A few years ago I had a troublesome experience dealing with Riverside of Marquette. I was very reluctant to deal with them again. However, I was in need of a pre-owned used car. I had very specific ideas of the design I wanted. I had tried every dealership in Marquette and surrounding areas with no avail, before I decided to go to Riverside. I was greeted by Kyle V. He was professional and polite, an absolute pleasure to work with. I found the perfect 2021 Subaru with all the bells and whistles I was looking for, along with the exterior and interior colors that were on my list. I test drove the car on Saturday. Brought my 2021 4Runner in to have a small rust spot fixed on the tailgate.  After submitting pictures of the defect Toyota agreed to cover the repair. I dropped the vehicle off on Oct 3 and was told it would be ready Fri afternoon when I called. When we arrived to pick up the vehicle the paint job was atrocious! It looked like my vehicle was painted with a can of spray paint! There were pieces of sand painted over.  I don't think the vehicle was even washed prior!!! When I opened the tailgate there was nothing but orange peel and absolutely no clear coat!  I was very upset!!  This is a 50k vehicle that is now ruined!  How could a body man think this is acceptable?  Maybe since I'm a female and I wouldn't notice?? The body guy said he could fix!  I'm like how can you fix after you did this awful job?  I do not trust you!!! I wanted to just bring to a reputable body shop but was told Toyota would not cover! We left the vehicle and picked it up yesterday.  It was raining so it was hard to see the final result!   We will be inspecting it today In the sunlight! This has been a terrible issue and nobody even reached out to me!  Awful service and I would never have any kind of work done there again read more

I recently entered an agreement with this company. I paid a $500.00 deposit to be first on the list to purchase a new Toyota upon arrival. Their company stated no terms upon our agreement and payment was made. No policy was sent to me stating any terms. And now there is a term of 48 hours to finalize the purchase which has been communicated after all parties were in agreement. This is unsatisfactory. I am active duty military and unable to be available for the purchase for only 2 weeks. Their window of delivery wasn't to conclude until the middle of June. Horrible customer service. Very poor service department. I have had a few experiences there at this point that are either the result of incompetence or blatant dishonesty. After receiving multiple emails encouraging me contact them regarding my experience, I finally wrote them back to address my concerns. After three weeks, I have not heard back, hence why I am writing this review. I have thankfully found other sources for my automotive care at this point. Do not deal with Joesph Espinoza he will call you up and quote you 1200 dollars for a vehicle. Then when I decide to come look at it all of a sudden he emails me the car details and the price is now 2500 dollars and he blames it on the sales manager raising the prices for the vehicle being in really good shape. Joesph is the one WHO CALLED ME with this deal for my sons first car. I would not recommend this dealership at all if this is how they treat customers. read more

What a horrible experience dealing with a sales associate named Nick Smaby in the used car department. I live over 350 miles away and offered a fair price for a vehicle with an accident on its Carfax record (asked for $2k off the original Cargurus list price of $33,999). In an apparent bid to keep the "used car dealer" reputation intact, if not lower the bar further, he replied with the following; Our prices on-line do not include sales tax, title, license and doc fees. Are you trying to get to $32k with all that included? Not happening. Michigan has a 6% sales tax. Indiana's is 7%. You pay sales taxes based on your residency--so you'd pay Indiana sales tax no matter where you buy. Our documentation fees are a very reasonable $220. I've seen many dealerships charge $400, $600--even $800 for that. In Michigan, a plate transfer and title fee is a mere $30. Kelly Blue Books says a Tundra of this age with this many miles on it has a full retail value of $37,500. We've already discounted the price $2,504 off that full retail price and are asking $34,996. Add in Indiana sales tax, title, license and doc fees and the total is $37,711.12. Asking for a few hundred, or maybe even a thousand dollars in additional discounts is one thing--but asking for us to sell you this truck at $32k out the door (a total discount of $8,215.12) is simply unreasonable. You're basically asking us to sell this extremely awesome and high-demand truck for less than what we paid for it. You'd also have to drive up here to sign papers and take delivery--just like every other customer we serve. Suggest you save your gas. Thanks for your inquiry. As you can see he is asking and answering his own questions, never a sign of a good communicator. Never once did I ask for an "$8,215.12" but his condescending tone and failure to ask questions before going off on a rant cost his dealership a sale this year and potentially the sale of a new Tundra when it is redesigned in a year or so. They totally ignored her and only talk to her father in law. She's the one who bought the vehicle, she has the loan. They offered to make things right but they ended up offering her a vehicle 4 years older and $5000 more than what she paid for her Equinox. People do not buy from Riverside in Marquette. Just went in to do the paperwork and pay for a brand new Toyota Tacoma. I put a good faith deposit down to make sure the truck was mine when it showed up off the truck. Riverside called me on Wednesday to say my truck was in and we scheduled an appointment for this morning to go in and purchase the truck. When I went in this morning they asked for the insurance and my registration for my other vehicle that I was trading in, and also asked for the check. Of course I gave everything but the check. I said not until I can check out the truck. I went out and said thats a nice truck, until I inspected it closer. There's scratches in the paint, scuffs on the interior door and steering wheel along with dirt. They said that they would take it in and buff it and correct the problem, and that they would call me in a few hours to proceed with the sale. I got a phone call 30 minutes later saying there's nothing they can do for me right now. But I can come in and buy it and they will fix it later, or they will just refund my deposit and sell it to someone else.. Please correct me if I am wrong but is that really how a business should be run?? Pretty messed up if you ask me. Now I know why so many people choose to buy out of area. I purchased a 2008 gmc acadia back in march of this year. I told the seller I was looking for something dependable as it was for my daughter who is going to college. I gave the guy the price range I was looking at. The day before i was on the website and printed off 6 vehicles i wanted to check out but he said they were all gone,sent to auction. So they roll out the acadia they just happen to get the night before. As I am a woman doing this on my own I was sceptical. First they wanted 8000 for it. I told the guy it's not in my price range. Dropped it down to 5500. When signing the documents the closer was really pushing for the extended warrenty, which would of put me over what i was approved for at the credit union, so I declined. Three months later, not even 2000 miles put on it. Started acting up. Brought it to a shop and they say I need a new transmission. So a big thank you to Riverside for taking advantage of me and making a sale on a lemon. Yes, I could of got the extra insurance and deal with my loan officer. Any credible place would not of sold that to begin with. So my opinion is never get a used vehicle from riverside,especially if you are a woman. I know I never will. These guys do honda, Nissan, Toyota. I've had a key that I needed to have cut for a long time. I tried in green Bay, but unhelpful because they didn't have it in Stock, and they wouldn't cut my blank key. In contrast, Riverside was awesome. They pointed me immediately in the right direction, and the parts people took care of it in under 5 minutes. Will be back here for my honda needs when I'm in town. read more
