"All the other machines are 30 minutes". She did open the machine and got it to skip ahead. But why wasn't there a note on the machine? Or better yet- get the damn thing fixed! I'm still flabbergasted that there is no warning for the customers. My advice is far away from this crummy laundromat which doesn't care about the customers.

This was my first time doing laundry here, and it was honestly overwhelming. The prices are…read moreoutrageous: washers and dryers are expensive, detergent and laundry bags are overpriced (a single bag is $7, when you can get three next door for the same price!), and even the vending machine charges almost $2 for a small bag of chips. To make matters worse, a lot of the machines were broken, which made it harder to even get my laundry done. The environment itself also needs improvement -- there are a lot of people coming and going, some just hanging around, and it doesn't feel particularly welcoming or organized. The only good thing I can say is that I was able to finish my laundry, but that's about it. Definitely recommend checking out other laundromats in the area before settling on this one.

We live in wayne so they don't pickup and deliver, but based on the previous reviews I took a chance and drive to Montclair with our laundry. Drop off was easy, the process was easy, and they even helped me bring it from the car. They explained everything to me and ensured me everything would be handled according to wash instructions per label. Came back and everything was perfectly folded into bags separated by family member. Everything was clean and everything smelled fresh. I've been doing my own laundry since I was 10 and I could only wish these guys were closer. I would use them every week. If you want professionals doing your laundry at such an affordable price come to Montclair Laundry!!! You may never do your own laundry again.

Property is clean with TV's and bathrooms, even 2 vending machines and change machines, but would be nice if they had an ATM or a change machine that took credit/debit. Again, Helen is a real help there, super friendly as well, and the rest of the staff is great too. Parking lot is a disaster some days, lines aren't clearly painted and people generally can't drive well in the USA. Best there is in the SOMA area, which is kind of sad, but then again most homes have washer dryers here too.

Last night came here and the woman inside told my partner around or before 10:15 I couldn't do a wash. We were told the night prior last wash is 10:30. She was rude, belligerent. I went in and asked if she said that to my partner and she said yes, last wash 10. The night before we were told 10:30. I said - it's not too late, we would be out well before close at midnight and that we were going to do a wash. She started coming over and slamming the washer doors around us, trying to intimidate us. For much of the time our wash load was in. When I asked her name, she went silent. She clearly isn't going a very good job of cleaning. I'm contesting the charges on my card and reporting this place to the state attorney general. You can't treat people this way or have dangerous washers with mold. This is the last thing I needed on a rough road trip for medical needs.

Clothes Encounters Laundromat - Rutherford, NJ…read more I walked into Clothes Encounters with two comforters and a lot of determination, but also a bit of confusion. With $10.25 in hand and two Tide Pods, I made a rookie mistake. I started the wrong machine, and of course, I didn't realize it until after the fact. But here's where this place really shines--Deb, the woman working the counter, came to my rescue. She noticed I was flustered, and without hesitation, she started the correct machine for me at no extra cost. Plus, she generously gave me some detergent since I lost my Tide Pod. Now that's customer service. The laundromat is clean, with plenty of machines to choose from. My comforters were washed and dried with no issues (after a little help), and I was back on track. Despite the hiccup, the experience was smooth, and I left with a fresh load and a smile. Final thoughts: Small mistake, huge save, and solid service. 5 stars, easily. Dry cleaning and wash and fold available as well.
