Absolutely the worst dentist ever. I came here from a recommendation from campus dental and I absolutely regret it. I wish I would've never walked in that door. I have now lost two teeth due to them. They said they were not approved by Medi-Cal. Medi-Cal said they were approved back in August. They have never called me not one time not one time since August to ask me how I was doing asked me about my teeth to let me know that they're waiting for approvals for any reason whatsoever. Every time I've called them it's been we're waiting for approvals. The work that I have had done there the dentist walks around like a commando directing orders at her assistance and she is extremely rude to them. I feel like they should file a lawsuit against her. She's awful just be warned before you go if they are horrible the dentist throws the tools on your chest as she's working on your teeth. The whole time that she is working on your teeth, she is giving the assistant a hard time she was telling the assistant to run run run and get her stuff.. Don't go here you will regret it. I have two teeth less due to their negligence and what am I gonna do? Go file a lawsuit with no money. read more

Took my 5 year old here and it was the biggest mistake! They say they work with kids but this is not a child friendly facility or experience or environment whatsoever! The female dentist was beyond disrespectful and rude to my child. The dentist poked her to numb her and my daughter did fantastic! The dentist then began to drill her tooth and my daughter felt scared due to the noise. The dentist got very upset with her and I could tell she was getting very irritated. She kept responding to questions with an ugly attitude. She then decides to tell us we need to go somewhere else. I said what was the point of putting my 5 year old through that trauma only to send us away. Mind you she also had me give her medication to make her sleepy/drowsy. She was upset at me because I didn't give her the dosage she wanted me to give. The pharmacist was very worried because she told us that was a high dosage for a 5 year old at her weight. I explained all that to the dentist so I already knew by her attitude that she was irritated and mad. She decided to proceed anyway. Again my daughter did fantastic but due to the dentist demeanor and attitude towards my child she made my child extremely uncomfortable and instilled fear and anxiety. My child said she couldn't breathe and that the drilling hurt. The dentist responded with her attitude that if that was the case then she was going to numb her again with the needle! I don't care who you are you never talk to a child the way she did! I myself was left with trauma and fear due to this awful experience. My child is having a difficult time now that I have to take her somewhere else. People please please do not allow your child to go through what my child went through. Please pay very close attention to the dentist tone and choice of words! If I could give no stars of course I would. The dentist also tried to put blame on me and my child for being uncomfortable. Of course we were uncomfortable she was a monster!! How could anyone do this to a child a child!!! I still think about it it's so disturbing to know that she will continue her practice like nothing. She even squirted water on my child just because my child asked her what the tool was and she said it's only water and squirts her! DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILD HERE! The facility is dirty there was a flea on my child once she got into the seat. The furniture is disgusting clearly we know where the dentist money goes not into the facility because the rooms are gross and not kept up with. Pay attention don't waste your time. read more

There's no other dental office I trust. Been coming here for over 20 years. From regular checkups, to wisdom teeth extractions to teeth bleaching. The staff are wonderful. I went this morning as a first time patient. Introduced myself to the employee at the desk. She asked me for my ID and insurance card - which I gave. Then she gave me a few pages to review and sign. I would hope that the Registration form is changed. I put dashes where the form asked for the social security number of me and my spouse ( who was not there ) The page describing the pros and cons of various treatments was a good page. I checked only the box authorizing X-rays. After I reviewed and signed these pages - my ID and card were returned to me. I arrived at 9.15 for my 10 oclock appointment. Other patients came and went. Time marched on. I waited and waited. Finally, at 10.35 - I literally walked out the front door. Nothing was done for me during my stay. read more

it's been so long since i've loved a dentist this much! i have anxiety and needed a root canal which was so terrifying to hear but the staff and Dr. made me feel so comfortable after i informed them that i have anxiety really bad and inquired about the options for sedation. they were very communicative about the process of being sedated and so gentle. it was very nice to feel heard and seen! my experience was amazing and i should've done this review sooner considering it was a few months ago. the Dr. being cool, kind and funny is a plus! thank you guys!! read more

Update: Unfortunately I contacted almost every dental office near my home that is covered under my insurance to schedule an appointment for a cleaning, but I couldn't find an office with an availability for this week and didn't find a place that accepted the x-rays that were done at Riverside Dentistry (there needs to be a better way for dentist offices to communicate and share patient information). Since I was desperate to get my cleaning done (I was a month overdue), I ended up coming back to Riverside Dentistry for the deep cleaning appointment. This time around, I was happy the wait was only a few minutes. The hygienist was also friendly, rinsed my mouth frequently, and checked in with me often to make sure I was comfortable. However, the process for the deep cleaning felt exactly the same as a routine cleaning (the plaque removal and flossing parts were done), but maybe the gum irrigation was the difference? The usual teeth brushing, polish, and fluoride weren't done during the deep cleaning. I'm definitely not an expert in dentistry at all, but the deep cleaning felt like a routine cleaning that could have been done on the same day as the x-rays, especially since the plaque removal felt pretty surface level to me. I was then told by the front desk staff that another appointment for a cleaning was recommended in 3 months, which confused me since the hygienist already went through my whole mouth. Oh well. Maybe the next appointment will be the rest of the cleaning that normally is done during routine cleanings or maybe the deep cleaning today was only for a few quadrants of the mouth. I wish I could have had a better explanation of what happened today. read more

My family and I have been patients of Dr. Patrick and Dr. Michelle for over 22 years. Their staff is very friendly and professional. The dental office is kept nice and clean. When I first started coming here, I had a lot of dental work that needed to be done. Little by little through out the years I have taken care of everything that I needed done. My teeth look amazing! My family and I have been coming here for over 15 years. Having 3 kids I really struggled to find a good dentist office that was a good fit. I can't say enough about Riverside Dentistry. Their staff is really awesome and is really the reason why I keep coming back. Ericka is the best! Dr. Patrick is an excellent dentist who really cares and it shows. I make a living off of watching peoples' guts spill out of their bodies and cleaning the mess up. I Know what gross is, and I Know damn well my teeth are never anywhere near disgusting. I used to think classless Vietnamese women only exists in nail salons && coffeeshops (but even those bitches have the courtesy to talk shit in another language), apparently 1 leaked out of the crowd and ended up here after graduating dental school. I can't explain enough to how amazing this place is! The staff are the sweetest ladies I have ever met in the medical field . One of the ladies even called to check on me prior to my surgery ! Who does that? They are the most compassionate, genuine, caring dentists and staff I have ever been to! I have never waited more than 5 min to be seen with my appointments ! I absolutely love and trust the staff at this office! I've been coming for three years now and have always recieved the best professional experience. The office is always clean, and the staff are friendly and courteous. I recently had all four of my wisdom teeth removed from here and the results have been outstanding. I have received multiple compliments saying how fast my recovery was from the surgery since many mutual friends have had bad experiences from other places. The anesthesia was not covered by my insurance, and was a bit pricey since I am a college student, but honestly, the surgery went so smoothly the money was definitely well spent at Riverside Dentistry. I will continue to go here and recommend Dr. Le to friends and family. read more

The dentist and office staff are friendly and will make you feel comfortable. However, if you are someone who has had trauma with dentists and teeth and tend to have difficulty with pain after dental procedures I would NOT recommend coming here. I had 2 procedures done here and suffered for days afterwards due to untreated pain. I feel like I have to be assertive and beg to be heard about how I feel after treatments. I already have a lot of anxiety about dental procedures so I wait too long to come in and then I have difficulty sleeping and functioning for days afterwards because I'm in so much pain and they aren't willing to prescribe adequate medication. I'm not drug seeking and the only time I ever take pain medication is with dental procedures. I have family members that need dental work done and they will not get it here. I paid thousands out of pocket and I'm suffering for days afterwards because they refuse to adequately treat legitimate pain. I will be finding another dentist to finish my treatments. read more

I've been looking over some of the reviews and trying to understand why some reviews are so NEGATIVE when my perceptions of this office are so positive. I've been seeing Dr. Michelle Men Le for years now, and I feel such confidence in her that I'm now bringing my 6 year old grandson (who is autistic) and his mom, my daughter. I have confidence in her skill, knowledge, sensitivity. I'm a big wimp and she is always compassionate, gentle, and patient with me. She listens to my questions and concerns. At first when I entered the office I was hopeful. The office was clean, nice office staff, nice assistants. It wasn't until I met with the doctor that I was blindside by all these little extras I needed to purchase in order to get my regular cleaning. From the moment I was in the chair until about the 30 seconds it took the doctor to examine me she was spouting off about all the procedures needed before she could do my cleaning. Pretty shocking since I've never had a cavity or a bad check up. She told me what I needed and left the room within a few seconds her front office girl was in to tell me how much it all would be. Long story short I said no, they wouldn't do the cleaning unless I agreed to all of this so I left. I immediately put a complaint in with my insurance carrier. So nice office just be ready to pay out of pocket for unnecessary work. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!! The worst dental office i have ever been to. Apart from how unprofessional they all were, the work they did was HORRIBLE. Needless to say because of the shitty service and total disregard towards my pain and needs and doing unnecessary work causing me even MORE pain.. I ended up in the emergency room in the WORST pain of my life leaving with strong antibiotics and heavy pain meds AND advise from the ER doctor to REPORT them to the American Dental Association and the Better Business Bureau... The worst part is that since going there even after seeing another dentist my teeth haven't stopped hurting.. They left PERMANENT damage.. Please people DO NOT go here!!! I have been coming to this office for many years, i love the office staff and the doctors are very nice, specially DR PATRICK he is very nice and makes my visits very enjoable ! i really don't like the dental visits but when its time to come to my 6 month appointment i'm looking forward because i get to talk to the dental assistants specially nikki and the pregnant one Lol Nataly i love you all girls. Well after reading the only two reviews I am compelled to write one of my own. I came to this office after going to a dentist who told be I had eight cavities. Which was totally bogus. When I went to Riverside dentistry I only ended up having one cavity. I also have been taking my son here for 3 years for his braces. Yes this seems like a long time for braces but he has a complex case. I have never had any issues with his care in any way. Its clean and the staff is very nice. The only reason why I did not give 5 stars is because one of the dentists can improve her disposition and chair side manner. My husband needed a lot of dental work, which the total cost almost made me cry. But most of the cost was attributed to dental implants they suggested he should have. I asked how much the cost would be if he just had a bridge put in and the cost went down significantly. So hope this helps! read more

I have been at this dentist office for the last 3 years. The staff and all the assistants are very nice and professional. I am very impressed with Dr. Le. His office is very flexible with scheduling and appointment. They always call you the day before your appointment as a reminder. I have no idea what the previous reviewer experience but could mistaken for other offices. There are literally tens of office in is area due to close to the university. I have been a patient at Riverside Dentistry for well over 10 years. Now in my mid 30's let me tell you there is no place I had feared more in life that having to take my annual trip to the dentist. Ever since I can remember I begged and pleaded with my parents not to take me but I lost every time. Once I gained my freedom from my parents I made a decision that dental hygiene will be pushed to the bottom of the list in order of importance. But sure enough after about 3 years of avoiding the dentist my choice lead to trouble and I was forced to find a dental office, Well lucky for me I discovered Dr. Patrick and Dr. Michelle. I have now been a patient with them for more than 10 years and I can honesty say I no longer fear the visit. They have been great and not to mention the assistants are fantastic with everyone of my fears.
