My mother's experience begin on 4/16/2025 and ended on May 23, 2025, with a 911 call that I had to make on her behalf. All I wanted was to be with her and to my surprise I could not. No one is allowed to enter through the ambulance bay. I understood perhaps for safety reasons but my mother did not speak very good English. I stood outside for more than an hour until I was allowed in. I did not like that at all. At first glance it's seems unorganized and waiting to go in to be with your love one is difficult. But later I was thankful that a Spanish speaking paramedic stayed with her and she was stable. It took a long time to get her up stairs, the nurses were not very attentive. She was not asked if she needed anything or needed to use the restroom. I had to ask and be persistent. That night a terrible accident in Riverside happened and the gentlemen who caused it all was placed in the room in front of my mom. Even though police officers were there it was hard for my mom to feel safe. Perhaps their could be a room away from other patients. When she was finally admitted upstairs it was a completely different experience. Excellent room and caring staff. She went home the next day. May 20th I took my mom into the heart center at the hospital for a procedure, she had complications and spent 4 days in intensive care. She never made it home and died in the room after complications following procedures. Am writing this review because I strongly feel that any doctor, nurse or staff that touches your love one should pay their respects after enduring such a loss. Am not here to get anyone in trouble. This Doctor knows who he is. I did not see him or his team after my mother passed away. Who does that? Who cuts into your love one and doesn't have the decency to pay their respects when it all started with him. It was an accident I understand that. But to not show any empathy for family or teach his team that our love ones are not just a bed number or a procedure. She was my mother! Even though I experienced this tremendous loss at this hospital I have good memories too. I can not thank enough the beautiful, patient, and caring nurses that attended to my mother while she was in their care. To a doctor who was there to the very end. Supporting us and making sure my mother was comfortable till the very end. He knows who he is. To the hospice team, Thank you so very much! For every person their experience will be different. I say, be patient, be understanding to why they do things differently. Ask questions, be persistent and fight for your love one. Be their for them, do not leave them unattended. Doctor's are not God, they are human just like us. Doing the best they can to save life's. read more
