At the end of the dinner she didn't bring a box like we agreed and when I mentioned it to remind her she said in a rude tone: "yeah... im bringing it in just a second". She was happy, I'll just refer you to the pictures of my fish. We can be sure I wouldn't have ordered it if I had known then what I know now. So, mixed opinions on the food. Service? Pretty much slow and spotty. We gave credit for that to our server having a nearby party-time table with a lot of people, all enjoying their libations and trying to speak over each other. We could only assume the server expected a notably larger tip, maybe. All in, not the greatest use of our dining out money. Not sure we'll go out of our way to drop in here next trip in the area.

When we landed a week ago it was -11 degrees. Holy shit. Since we're all from California and don't know how to handle anything below 60 degrees, we rushed over to Remington's Restaurant for some hot cocktails. Like always, alcohol did the trick. Their hot apple cider warmed us up quickly! We also ordered a side of fried cheese curds to snack on. These were greasy perfection! Highly recommend this bar if you're looking to escape the airport.

I can't remember if they had any music playing, if they did, turn it up a notch. Service was decent, if not a little weird. There was one woman working, but she wasn't really working behind the bar. It was an order at the counter and take a seat type situation. She was plenty nice, but she was more cashier than bartender. We had two each then bounced. I will say one time they did burn it and I hadn't realized it til I was already well on my way back to the west side. The most recent time I went about 3 weeks ago the cornbread was not burnt, but I feel like it wasn't AS good as I recalled the other 4 times I went to the restaurant. Next time I'm in the area, I'll opt to eat in the restaurant and enjoy it fresh! Every time I've been, I have had great service. The staff is always kind even if they're slammed! I asked the server what this was and he told me it was the gumbo. I told him gumbo does not look like what you are serving. My server's response? "Well, this is how we serve it now!" Like that all I was going to get from him. Well, their "new" gumbo tasted as bad as it looked. The over condensed stew was over salted. Just tasted like pasty crap.
