We went here for brunch. It was kind of pricey considering the food quality. I had a so-called Mongolian stir-fry-not at all what you'd expect if you have had real Mongolian bbq-type dining. I have heard horror stories about this buffet... So naturally I had to experience this for myself. First off, the waitress staff were clueless. Like it took over 5 mins just to get my drink on a slow afternoon!? In order for me to get my drink I had go up to the host stand and ask them to find my waitress. They didn't know where she went and got my drinks instead so +1 for the hosts! Secondly, the food was meh at best. The best thing on the buffet during lunchtime were the pot stickers and eggrolls. Otherwise everything else looked like school cafeteria grade slop. The fried chicken was so bizarre that when biting into it, the "chicken" looked like a processed mystery meat on a bone. It was also thickly battered and had no flavor. I also tried the fried potatoes and ham, mashed potatoes and gravy, and pizza. All of which tasted like it was a few days old and reheated. Finally, I payed $10 lunch ($17 for dinner) for this buffet and I feel robbed. I didn't think anyone could beat circus circus with having a bad buffet. The price for lunch/dinner at this train wreck of a buffet is beyond crazy. If I were Don Laughlin, I'd fire everyone on the wait staff and give your cooks better ingredients! Ate here for Christmas Eve. Signed up for a players card & received a 2 for 1 buffet coupon. I didn't know it was a champagne brunch and people sat for hours watching the view and sipping on champagne while they kids got restless and whining and tugging and sitting under the tables while mad @ the parents cause the kids are bored and parents didn't give a fuck. I even got nugged a few times from behind. I didn't feel comfortable nor did i want to leave a $3.00 tip on the table when i thought abut how pricey the buffet was and watching the servers pour champagne, felt like we were paying for a bottle for rude people, bar none! I was going to get creamy hourse radiash, two spoons fell in it. The server took them out. Cleaned the spoon and gave it to me. I said that should be replaced, it has people's germs. It wasn't. Worst buffet I've ever had. Selection was limited and the containers for many items were empty. The waffle guy couldn't keep up with the crowd and by the time we got to the front of the line, he ran out of waffle mix. Mimosas were served in Orange juice glasses with just a splash of champagne, instead of the other way around. I went to the champagne brunch for Father's Day this past weekend..I was surprised at all the options of food that were there..The roast beef was very, very good!!! There was lots of salads, peel and eat shrimp, pork loin, ham, chicken wings, salmon and traditional breakfast items..The cakes were kinda dry but the soft ice cream was amazing!! I was glad to see the buffet open back up. The options were plentiful for most part. We are vegetarians so I would like to see more vegetable dishes. There was plenty of meat options. What I did eat was tasty. It was good food but nothing exceptional. We will visit the buffet again when we visit Laughlin on our next trip. Also the price for the buffet was on the high side. The hours & days are limited right now. The buffet is closed on Tuesday & Wednesday right now. They are only open for lunch & supper. I tried the Friday night Seafood buffet . After reading a few negative reviews I was hesitant. It actually wasn't too bad! I enjoyed the seafood enchiladas and crab legs. I also appreciated the fresh spinach offered at the salad bar. In addition, the blueberry pie ala mode really hit the spot! Also, Don greeting me at my table, which was nice. I've run in to him several times in the casino over the years, and it's always a highlight! On Sunday afternoon, I decided to indulge in champagne brunch. Service was excellent, with Deborah taking good care of my beverage needs. I arrived at 1:30 and was told by the cashier I wouldn't have much time to eat. A lot of the chafing dishes were empty, so I couldn't really sample much. The employees starting breaking down the hot portion of the buffet right at 2 so I really didn't have much time at all to go back for seconds. The tomato artichoke salad had green beans instead of artichokes, which was also disappointing since I enjoyed it so much Friday night. I was hoping for smoked salmon, but it wasn't offered. They did keep the desserts well stocked, probably because it was the last hour of the buffet. Next time, I'll make it a point to arrive earlier. read more

I was looking forward to a buffet so we decided to stay overnight in Laughlin before heading home. We didn't know our hotel, the Aquarius, had a buffet. I only saw a coffee shop. I searched Yelp, and the Riverside came up. You cannot see the buffet from the enterance. After we were seated, around the corner is a small buffett (by Las Vegas standards). There wasn't much to get excited about, just normal cafeteria style food. My mother-in-law was disappointed, she paid, and was expecting a seafood buffet. Solid 3.5 stars First of all, let me preface this by saying that I am 100% NOT a buffet person. I normally avoid buffets like the plague. However, while on a recent day trip to lovely Laughlin with my Mom, she wanted to eat at the buffet for dinner. We checked out the prices ($13.99 for dinner on a Monday), and the menu said that they had approximately 11 items on the carving board. So we decided we'd go for it. The set up of this place is strange, to say the least. It's a huge dining room, with a view of the river, and all of the food is crammed in to this small room in the back. They had all of the typical offerings: Salad bar, soup, prime rib, etc. They also had a ton of different pastas, leg of lamb, ribs, mexican food and lots more. Everything I tasted was actually pretty good. And I didn't get an upset tummy afterwards, which I consider a success! We always get room offers from the Riverside for free nights, including 2 free buffets. Now I won't worry about going there! I wouldn't necessarily suggest this place, but it isn't a place to avoid either. read more

I've been here before and things hasn't changed a bit. However, it's Laughlin after all, and you get what you pay for, here's a small breakdown for lunch. PROS: - Pretty cheap. Of course the casino definitely mitigated any losses on this because they get money from the patrons on the slot machines. For two peoples it's $20 more or less. - Nice view of the river. You see all kinds of people doing water sports. CONS: - Service was very spotty. It's a union hotel. These employees are there just for gas money and their pensions. - Abysmal selection of poor quality food just sitting in the steam tables. It's a very bare minimum buffet in terms of quantity and quality. - Cashier was rude. We asked to split the bill on two cards. She lied and said we had to use one. We use the same Info Genesis terminals at my job and we split checks all the time. A nice view, but that's about it. read more

Less than awesome buffet. There is a small room in the back, maybe around 25x25 or so with a small selection of food. Most of it has been pre-prepared or frozen and just reheated. Salmon was extremely dry. Most food was very, very, oily. Corn on the cob sat inside some juice with oils floating about it. Meats were very dry. Maybe the best thing was the potatos au gratin. It was pretty dirty back there, maybe because of Labor Day weekend a crowd that was there perhaps before my family got there. When we were there, there may have been around 25 people tops in the buffet. And this was for Sunday night dinner. Service wasn't bad. Price was OK, though due to the lack of variety and freshness, I think it is more of a $10-$12 type of buffet than a $15 even. It just really wasn't that great. read more

Food is typical buffet food for Laughlin, which was expected. What wasn't expected was the rude beverage waitress we had, older lady with long blond ponytail, oh yes Kelly was her name. $11.99 for champagne brunch, pretty good price. Been coming to this buffet since I was a little kid, with my parents, now that I'm old enough to vacation on my own, still my top choice. Love Love Love the view from the majority of the seating area, full river view. For brunch, large selection of food for such a small area. Fresh waffles and omelets. Food is constantly being brought out fresh. Waitresses are always very polite and on top of their duties, always a full beverage. This past weekend I was there and we were a party of 11, still quickly served and drinks were always kept full, very impressed. Only complaint is a poor dessert selection. read more

We recently stayed at the Riverside on a bus trip to Laughlin. The package included breakfast and dinner buffet passes. Glad the trip included the buffets, but the food is really not very good. Breakfast had the usual fare: eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, donuts, etc. - donuts were the best, very tasty & good variety - everything else needed work & flavor. Dinner - tried the Mexican food, chicken, beans, salad, Mac & cheese, etc - all were on the average to poor side needing better flavor, were cold, or just didn't taste good. Desserts were just ok - typical buffet pies, cakes, etc - dry and just blah. Service was not bad - kept our drinks filled and plates cleared away during the meal. The wait was horrible! Two hostesses who wandered around while there was a huge line of people waiting and tons of empty tables. They had people bussing tables yet the hostesses would wander around occasionally leading a group to a table. We waited 30 minutes just to get to the register, then another in line waiting to be seated. We did have a lovely view from our table! The floor was absolutely filthy. It was a Champagne Brunch but we had to ask the waitress for the champagne. The food was blah! We've had better food at Golden Corral! Their lunch buffet is awesome! Staff is friendly. They have a massive amount of food (all very yummy) and variety. They have a salad bar, sandwich station, Asian food, Mexican food, ribs, Salisbury steak and the list goes on. The restaurant even has a spectacular view of the river. This buffet was recently remodeled. I remember going here a few years back and thought it was average. I went last night, and it's definitely improved. It's been called "the biggest little buffet". Because despite the fact that the buffet area is pretty small, it's packed with a lot of choices. The dessert section is kind of small. But the salad/veggies selection is very good. My family and I ate breakfast here three days in a row, and for very good reasons! While the breakfast isn't super special or fancy, there was something for all of us. I loved the omelet station! I wish there were a few more vegetables to choose from, but I'm a vegetable lover and I know it and I was still very happy with what I got. My husband is very simple, as long as he has the basic bacon-egg-toast combo he's set. There was indeed all of the basic fixings, along with a Denver Scramble, so he was thrilled! And our son was happy to be able to eat all of the eggs and fruit that he could fit in his little tummy! Now, I just have to leave on this note... The bread pudding... Wow!!! The best! Seafood buffet on Fridays is what we had the pleasure of enjoying. The all you can eat crab legs & shrimp were totally worth it. Choices range from crab legs, shrimp, mahi mahi, salmon in dill sauce, clam strips, oysters, to chicken pot pie & roast. Service was nothing spectacular, but I've had worse. The restaurant itself was clean and very well kept. But nothing held a candlestick to the view of the river. I recommend stopping by if you're in the area. & remember to pick a table near the window, so you can enjoy the view. read more
