The chicken has so much flavor from the charcoal. The Yucca was perfectly fried fresh, and the black beans and rice were satisfying. It is a little pricey about $27 with fountain drink and a 15% tip (in my opinion they should not ask with their point of sale system when it is not a full service restaurant). This is the reason why they got a 3 star instead of 4 stars. This reminds me of Peruvian style rotisserie chicken that I use to eat when I lived in Washington DC area. Here, they are branded as Latin American Charcoal Chicken. This not a full service restaurant. You order at the counter and pick up at the order at the other end. The person I asked told me that is just how it is made. "Plain is Alfredo." I asked, "What is Alfredo then?" She said, "that is with Alfredo with Chicken." I asked, "What is Alfredo with Chicken then?" She said, " that is supposed to say Shrimp." The look on her face was "why is this a problem for you." When we got the bill, it showed we were charged for Alfredo linguini for $9. My daughter ordered a chicken quesadilla, she got cheese. This thick corn cake was fried to a crispy light golden brown crust with a moist and tender very sweet interior. It was topped with melted cheese (queso a mano) or white mozzarella. It also was covered with a fairly tender layer of barbecued beef plus slices of fresh avocado. Big serving - big flavor. Also grabbed a half dozen "Colombian" style empanadas (2 of each type: chicken, beef, or cheese.) Well cooked, slightly thick cornmeal crust and amply filled. These came with garlic-forward Colombian "Aji picante." Many more Latin dishes to explore on another visit.
