We had a blast!!! 2 hour trail ride is a must. Careful, you'll forget how to walk after. Highly recommend!

The forgoing review is not a review based on an actual experience on a Riverman Trail Ride, but rather a review of their customer service and the standard of belief concerning what is and is not right to do. I called to make a reservation and was unable to reach them, and sent a text message alert the instructions on their voicemail. They returned my call this morning at 10:30 AM. The lady offered an 8 AM trail ride as their only option available, which I understood due to the last minute request to book on my end. I accepted that time and she went over the details and explained there would be a deposit that is non-refundable. At 10:33 we end our call and I immediately remember that my daughter has tele-therapy at 9:30 that day. I immediately, within seconds of hanging up. (picture attached), called her back to let her know I was so sorry and we actually could not take the 8 AM Trail Ride reservation. I asked for a refund of my deposit of $65.00 and she advises me it is non-refundable to which I explained that I made a human error and rectified it within seconds. She advised she had to call her manager for approval and would call me back. She returned my call a bit later and advised they could not issue a refund. I expressed how wrong I believed that to be when she began to speak over me and end the call with "have a nice day". I'm a reasonable person. I completely understand the necessity of having a policy that requires deposits for holding reservations to protect a business against losses. This was not necessary. This company stole from me, my family and my children today. This company used their policy to take advantage of a Mother and wife of a currently deployed US Active Military member, and who is already trying to keep it all together during this impossibly difficult time in our lives. This company has no moral compass, and therefore I would not recommend them to anyone, and would highly advise to take your business elsewhere.

FIRST complaint is that they started our tour an hour late. They said the first tour of the day started late...but yet they require you to get there 20mins early. So we ended up waiting an hour and 20mins for our tour to even start due to them not cutting the first tour short like it says on the website they will if you are late. SECOND the guides were pretty unfriendly and seemed like they really didn't care to be there. THIRD the trail ride was really intense for beginners. The horses didn't seem like they were comfortable with the trail and neither was I. I've been on a lot of tours like this in other places and usually they are designed to be easy. The sites are beautiful but prepare for steep up and down hill and deep water for your horses to trot through. There was riders that had little kids (as young as 3) and had to hold onto them through all this. They should be more open with what to expect. FOURTH ** it seemed to me they use the same horses back to back for these one hour tours which is really unfair to the animals. They kept stopping for water when we were near it as I'm sure they hadn't had any in a few hours. We saw them use the same horses as the tour before us for our tour and looked like they were going for one more after us. EDIT: PER the rude reply from the owner to clarify: I arrived at 10:40am for my 11am tour. And they did not begin our tour until 12pm because the people before us ran late. His response that it's not their fault is valid but their website says they will shorten the tour for those that are late and failed to do so. We did not even complain about the place being late I just am noting my experience. I was not rude to anyone there so not sure he must be mixing us up with the group that showed up late. Additionally, I just noted that the intensity of the trip should be noted as far as going up through steep hills and across deep water while people had young kids.

Visited during a Bachelorette weekend and wow!! Beautiful horses, gorgeous scenery, attentive and knowledgeable guides (daisy and team)! . Loved the terrain and the personalities of those horses!! The guides knew them all and where they liked to be in the line (there were 14 of us so a large group), they knew them all and even who their horse friends were... it was like a big family! Have already recommended to my family. Would for sure be back if my life leads me back to broken bow area.

Thank you for the ride. We had a blessed experience. It was very peaceful. The horses were real kind and following directions I had three kids and they had a blessed time. Our favorite thing was when we were on top of the mountain, and the west experience was crossing over the river with the horses.

We had an amazing time riding! Our guide was very friendly and loved the horses very much. He knew a lot about the history of the land and was very interesting I would highly recommend him if I only knew his name! Would definitely recommend, beautiful scenery!

Our 6th Annual Girls Trip brought us to Broken Bow this year. We booked a "sweet heart ride" for the 3 of us to ride - stop for wine and cheese - and ride more. We had no idea what to expect but it was FANTASTIC! Cody was a great guide - super friendly, experienced, and fit right into our threesome. He kept us laughing and making jokes that I'm sure had him blushing a time or two... The horses were great - they had awesome personalities and would get into a good trot from time to time - giving us a startle but super fun and perfect! We were looking for more than a slow ride. We had Tattoo, Star & Mickey. Gorgeous horses! We are hoping to come back next month for another ride and will request Cody if possible!

Kids of all ages will have a blast finding rocks and even sticks with beaver teeth marks!!

Our family of 11 just visited Riverman Trail Rides for Spring Break 2021 and it was amazing! Mr. Poppin Johnny is a súper kind & gracious host! All the kids (7 kids total) ages 17, 14, 12, 8, 5, 4 and 3 years old had a blast! The scenery is beautiful! We saw cows, horses, and crossed rivers on the wagon pulled by a tractor. We stopped on a River with rocks of all sizes and crystal clear waters! We highly recommend this 1 hour adventure if you visit Oklahoma. Here are some of the pictures we took on our adventure!

Wife and I had a great time with Montana as our guide. Wife's first time trail riding and she had an absolute blast. Beautiful ride, beautiful scenery, really nice people, and great horses. The one I rode (Kicker) yea, him and I are a lot alike, laid back and likes to eat. Definitely recommend doing this, we had a blast.

We had the best time on our 1 hour trail ride! Charlie and Star were our horses and they were awesome. We saw some of the prettiest views and even got to cross the river on the horses. Daisy was our guide and she was amazing. We also wanted some pictures and Daisy was so helpful and got some great pics for us. She was so knowledgeable about the area and the horses. Everyone here was so so friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back! Thank y'all!

    Ask for Charlie, great horse!

WOW! So much fun! Great trails and great guide. The views were amazing! Highly recommend go head and do the two hour session, we did the hour and wanted to keep going. Cannot wait to come back!

Took my family of five. Three kids ages 13/9/4. We did the hour ride. We all had a good time. Our guide was Skylar and she was great. She made trip really enjoyable for my 4yr old. The scenery was nice, we were able to cross the river near the end. We will return next time we visit.

Ask the Community - Riverman Trail Rides

If it rains do we still horseback ride or get a refund?

I think they are pretty strict on the cancellation policy. When I was there, they mentioned that they ride in the rain and the snow.

We weren't able to cross the river due to all the recent rain, but that's obviously out of their control.

I docked 1 star bc our unit did not have window coverings so we were forced to wake up way earlier than we wanted ( it might, that was 2 yrs ago) but other than that they were perfect. This is the gem of Antlers but that being said is a lot bc overall, Antlers is a dumpy town with lots of rednecks that dont keep their homes and yarss kept up so much of the towns neighbirhokd look very old and run down and there is a big drug proble.in town and absolutleh nothing to do, it is quite possibly thr most boring, depressing place ive ever been so bare that in mind if you plan a visit here bc kids will quickly get bored and if you ever consider moving here, bare in mind the schools have lots of bullying issues, especially towards new kids or if their parents buy them toys and dress them nice bc the kids are very jelous bc many of the.parents ae poor or are farmers and cant fo anywhwhere so the kids literally never get to go anywhere fun and never go on vacations (majority) , there are a few that do .

We brought a picnic and the fur babies and made a day of it! The only tiny complaint was the QR codes were scratched out so there was no way for people to pay for parking. Bathrooms were clean and well stocked, trails were in excellent shape, trash cans were pretty full due to all the people but not overflowing. They have a carnival and inflatables for kids too. But this state park itself is one of my favorites. I've been going since I was a child, and the lake is so beautiful. I love to rent a paddleboat! They have yurts to rent, putt putt golf, and a snow cone/coffee stand that has become better and better over the years. The lookout kitchen is finally open after that whole debacle with the state, but I need to go back and try it. The building is beautiful though and right in the water. We've camped here in our RV too, and the spots are spacious, quiet, and very woodsy. It's always fun to hike up to the cave too. The history of this area is so cool. The trails are great, and there are options for ability levels. I always go green or yellow. You can often find people rappelling too! Definitely give this state park a try.
