bed bugs terrible terrible service so if u want to deal with professionals don't choose them and mind u all the movers have all been in prison or worse. So I was charged about 2300 to move from a 3rd floor 2 bedroom to a first floor 2 bedroom apartment. I asked that a lamp get boxed specially and i dont think that was honored. my lamp shard was missing. also some wires to hold down the shard was missing and a mover apprehensively handed me the movers blanket. my ladder is missing that was most likely left behind by the men. my monitor stand is now not working when it's plugged in . I'm not sure what happened to it . so we now have a couple hundred of damages . next , the sofa they couldn't move from the third floor that was a 3 seater. I had to call Uhaul movers so they could move the couch and that cost me about 260. 00. I asked to get a couple hundred back since the movers couldn't move the couch and I have yet to hear back from them. I called and left many messages and I can't hear from them. my ladder was missjng. the mover said he's deciding whether to get me a refund and I can't hear back. he was sort of condescending the person in the office. read more

Run for the hills! I would give zero stars if I could this moving company was horrible. The two young men Shane and Ray were very good but the driver was rude and racist. They moved a 2 bedroom apartment one in which was my toddlers room and he has a crib which I broke down by myself. All they had to do was break down my table and king sized bed. I had two drop off locations. The first was the house I was moving into they had no problem moving my things in. They moved my bed frame in and but they didn't want to go through the hassle of bringing my king mattress up the stairs the driver honestly didn't want to be bothered so he just said he wasn't doing it. I spent 1400$ just for a man to yell at me. I was by myself as a young black woman and they took advantage. They truck driver took my bed apart and put it back together but he was missing a bunch of screws and he didn't care. Thank god I saved the screws the driver didn't even ask for the screws he literally used what he had. If I wasn't paying attention they would have lost all the screws to the bed. They were careless with my furniture and could care less how I felt as the customer. They didn't listen to me and basically said fuck me with out actually saying those words. I will never use this company again and I advise that everyone stay away they are not worth it! We got to the storage unit and the driver still had an attitude he was in such a rush to get off he could care less how he handled my furniture. read more

Owner, JR, is a fraud, he comes to do a free estimate and talks about how great his company is, I should have known this is the first mistake, if a company has to talk up their company they are trying to hide flaws. Most of his workers are unprofessional and inexperienced, the only two who were polite and actually cared about the safety of your items were Tony and Khalil. The day of our move-out his crew showed up and one worker made it obvious he didn't want to be on the job. He made comments the entire day and dropped his food wrappers all over my front walkway as well as spit loogies on the front walkway, which was the same walkway everyone was using to get in and out of the house. I heard a loud sound from the basement and went down to see what happened, they had flipped my desk over and all of the items from the drawers fell out. I then see him proceed to throw the items across the room as if he was inconvenienced. I also have never seen a moving company move bed frames out of a house AND THEN decide to wrap them once it was on the truck. I had to watch their every move and make sure they boarded and wrapped glass items. It's as if they didn't want to take the time to ensure my items would be transported correctly to avoid breakage. His crew also didn't pack the truck correctly leaving me with all my picture frames and lamps still in the house. JR couldn't promise me another truck the next morning so I had to rent a U-Haul after they left so I could be out in time for the new owners to do their walk thru. Onto day 2 of the move, they were 2.5 hours late for the unload. They show up with a different crew of guys which was actually better since the day 2 crew guys were very polite and efficient. I worked along side the movers since they were short one guy, I was moving boxes, unloading items off the truck and moving at a much faster pace. Then JR dispatched two more guys to the house to finish the move, which was not necessary, we were almost done but I didn't have a choice and had to pay extra. They showed up smelling of smoke and didn't care to be there to work. To top it off they broke my all glass night stand, they left all the plastic wrap in the house for me to clean up and left all their tools on my bedroom floor after assembling my bed. Needless to say - DO NOT HIRE THIS company you will be very upset with the service. IF you do hire them I would purchase the $100 extra insurance because they are bound to break or damage something. If you stick with the regular standard insurance they will reimburse .60 per lb. They will have to take the damaged item back on their truck, weigh it at their facility and hopefully you see the refund. I have yet to get a refund on my damaged dresser or get my dresser returned to me! JR was so unprofessional he got nasty with me on the phone after I told him his team of guys were not worth what I am paying for ($156 per hour for four guys) and then he proceeded to tell me I am worse than his "Indian clients", whatever that means. I hate to speak ill of anyone but at the end of the day this is a service and others should know the truth behind this company. If you have expensive furniture, glass items, and truly care about professionalism and efficiency, this is not your company. If you have limited items of importance and just want to have things moved with no care, then sure hire them but don't say I didn't warn you. read more

Job was 20 percent over quote. There was damaged door jeopardizing my settlement. JR is all smooth and friendly but he slips in a waiver where they are not all responsible for any damage during move. I am out 3k in escrow to replace this door. They showed up over an hour late on both days. Don't let JR s friendly demeanor fool you. During a move from property 1 to property 2 on 18May2019, damage done to both properties, which is beyond what might be considered normal and expected. Numerous phone calls with voicemails left to Riverfront moving and storage have been unanswered. In addition to the non-response via phone, an email requesting response with a detail of the damages was sent to the company on 22May2019, where a response has not been received. The following damage was completed during the move. House #1- Damaged drywall- Corner of Foyer from treadmill. Damaged drywall on multiple side of stairwell from treadmill which was not completely disassembled as discussed during quoting/pre-move walk thru by moving company owner. Damage to treadmill- resulting in inability of further use. Scuff marks down right hand side of upstairs stairwell most of the distance. House #2 Significant Scratch on hardwood floor in Master Bedroom Scratch in laundry room door, which I observed when one of the employees was carrying a tall chest of drawer in by himself. Mirror to bureau was not installed back on at House #2, after being removed at House #1 as discussed during quoting/pre-move walk thru. Back of bureau was found to be damaged where mirror attaches. Upon leaving the property the moving truck struck the cable line and tore it from the house. While I understand that stuff can happen, the complete lack of response from the company to numerous inquiries is disturbing. read more

It has been my experience over the years that people only remark when things didn't quite go their way. Rarely, do they take the few minutes to commend someone on a job well done. Well this is me taking those few moments. I want to send my deepest thanks 2 juan and his crew. Those men handled my items like they were their own belongings. Some of these items we're old, heavy, actually very heavy antiques not replaceable. Along with artwork that I treasure. And everything left the old property and arrived at the new one unscathed. Guys you did a tremendous job. Even my son and son-in-law, men not easily impressed, remarked how conscientious and hard-working you all were. Jr I'm also going to thank you. Because if not for you I wouldn't have had this crew. I, not unlike others were scared to death hiring a moving company. I did a little homework, spoke to a few people, realized that the first company I had been speaking with the price quoted was ridiculously low. My son-in-law recommended Angies list. And that's where I found Jr and his company. And very grateful that my son who had pointed out that the first companies price was laughable and that I needed to move on from that. We had accumulated a family's worth of stuff and it was daunting just to consider what was involved. Riverfront Moving was great helping us plan and prepare. They did a solid job packing with a crew of four the first day. A larger crew and two trucks were necessary the second day. Their entire team was very polite, professional, and hard working the entire time. Our move was particularly large and they handled every twist with a great attitude. The day of our move, the team provided us with the best moving experience I've ever had. They had a great attitude the entire day and were so careful and respectful. JR continued to be involved throughout the day to ensure we were having a great experience and that his initial quote was being met. His quote was absolutely accurate and you could tell that was very important to him. I would absolutely use Riverfront again and have already recommended them to friends who used them last weekend. I had never used a moving service before and was a bit hesitant due to friends and family experienced. Once I decided to move I asked my landlord if they could refer me to a moving company. I was referred to RMS, Bristol, PA. The owner of the company arrived on time to do the assessment. He was very professional and assured me that there were no hidden fees. The quote was affordable so I used the services. He sent three men who were equally professional and they moved all of my items in a timely manner. DO NOT HIRE THESE GUYS! The owner who calls himself JR comes out to your home with a BIG sales pitch guaranteeing his company's service which I should have saw the red flags at that time. Last minute desperately finding a moving co. because the time of settlement changed and no one GOOD and reliable was available at the last minute so of course these guys were because NO ONE in their RIGHT MIND would take a chance with them. They only took stuff that they felt like taking in their truck and left everything else behind THEN they insisted on getting paid as they were unloading and FORGOT our refrigerator! Also broke a leg on my table, scratched an expensive armoir, and too many other careless things to mention. I called the BBB & have to finish filling out the forms to get their business SHUT DOWN. My husband called JR and he told my husband that they are NOT LIABLE for anything left behind!!! Do yourself a favor and investigate the company BEFORE you hire someone. I have HALF of my stuff (expensive things) left at my old house that is no longer mine because the new owner won't let us come back to get our things. BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE!!!: JR is an EXCELLENT salesman - he talks a good game and gives away all the trade secrets. The quoted price comes in low. HOWEVER....KEEP READING... On moving day - I was told they would be there between 9-10AM - I got a 'courtesy call' at 9:45AM that they would be there in an hour and a half! On arrival, not during the 'sales pitch', I asked to sign 'the insurance' which is ONLY 0.60 cents/lb...(think - a $1000 painting gets injured, it weighs 20lbs, you get $12 - the extra insurance has a $250 deductible. While 5 of the 6 moving men were GREAT, the one who was to explain the insurance could not even articulate the contract. Within 5 minutes of signing, my $500 desk was dropped 10 feet from my loft and broken. My antique wooden bench was scratched as they were loading the truck. I had to ask the men NOT to stand on my kitchen table as they loaded the moving truck. I have been relocated for work 3 times - and never have I seen my furniture treated/packed with such disrespect. Although I was told my valuable paintings would be 'taken care of' - they were simply 'cling wrapped' once and slid behind cardboard. My sofa was not cling wrapped...The hydraulic lift on the back of their truck was not working - so the 6 men wasted time trying to figure out how to "lift" my John Deere tractor! When I asked about the hydraulic lift - they said they knew it was broken but didn't have time to get it fixed....Their delay is time on the clock...which is more money you put out. Concerned about my belongings - I contacted JR several times throughout the moving day only to learn a VERY DIFFERENT side of him (not the smooth talking salesman). At the end of the move - they kept my bench and desk and told me they would be fixed within one week as a 'favor'. One week later, several calls and texts - and no response. After contacting my credit card company to withhold payment - WALAH! JR responds. My bench was fixed by my $500 desk remains broken. 60.6 lbs - so I got a check for 36 dollars....pathetic. All in all - I was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED. After vetting several moving companies - I felt that JR was impressive - and that my belongings would be handled with care. I hired the moving company based on their reviews; however, I've had an awful experience upon delivery of my furniture from the move that took place. Based on their policy, the movers were required to place padding down on areas where they were moving furniture; however, this was not done until I noticed stains being placed on my carpet throughout the house. The movers also dented/creased my stainless refrigerator in multiple places while trying to move the fridge into its location. Pictures of the damages have been taken for reference. I've contacted the company multiple times in order to discuss these issues and determine the correct action to resolve them, but the company and JR (company representative) have yet to be responsive to each of my attempts. I find this very unprofessional. read more
