This is a top notch outfit. Reliable, efficient, dependable, professional, and economical. Hired H&M to unload a 26 ft uhaul, 4 people fro 2 hrs. Ended up unloading a 26' and 15' trucks and it still only took 2 hours. On top of being efficient there were a couple pieces that were extremely difficult to get onto the stairs. H and M Movers are amazing. I just moved back to Philadelphia from California with u haul U boxes. U- haul wanted me to utilize their third party company which didn't exist when I looked them up. A friend recommended H&M and said they were great, so I called and they were able to help me unload my u boxes at the uhaul site. They got my stuff out of the boxes into their truck and into my house in 2.5 hours total. They were professional, fun to work with and quite simply, impressive in their ability to crush it. I moved from Bucks County to Chester County 1 week ago and wanted to stop and say thank you to H & M. I have a 12 year old Alaskan Malamute who since her littermate passed away this year would not get in my car. I was so nervous of how to get her to the next house. Hector and his team saw us struggling and made a gurney with their arms and lifted her into our vehicle, where she happily took the one hour ride to her new home. They are kind and caring and oh, great movers. It was very very reasonable. I didn't pack everything as I was running late and everything to them was "no problem" we will help. I am extremely upset with the way this company packed my items. I paid another company to come and pack my container and it was packed within 14 feet opposed to the 19 feet these movers used. I am paying $250 per foot for the container. When this company packed my items. There were broken items and they did not finish the packing. I am just extremely upset and disappointed and will make sure to leave my honest opinion on all media sites with pictures of the damages done to my furniture. I will never recommend using these services. I also work for a very large lender in the United States. So when I lend money on mortgages and clients need referral services for moving, I will let them know how I was treated during this situation. read more

We had the pleasure of working with Pete and Ku who arrived at our house ahead of the scheduled time window. They were professional and ready to jump into the job. Hector and his crews did an amazing job packing both their truck to take my things to storage and the rental truck I had as well to drive halfway cross-country. I was terribly behind in packing since I've been working out-of-state and didn't have the prep time I'm used to to get everything packed and marked correctly. They rolled with it and just grabbed whatever they could. Even with that, there was minimal damage (I've moved a lot and I know what can happen). I've had occasion to move three times since 2013, and I've used H&M each time. Hector, Barry, Alex and the team help take the edge off what is always a very stressful experience. They're prompt, professional and very resourceful in resolving problems that invariably crop up during a move. They respect the homeowner's property and are service-oriented -- ready to go the extra step to lend a hand. And they manage to maintain good humor under tough circumstances -- a major plus when things get challenging. Their prices are reasonable, too. H&M is superb! We moved from the suburbs to Center City. Hector and Alex showed up at exactly the time promised and went straight to work. They were extraordinarily fast, but very careful of our furniture and the walls in the house. The truck was loaded in no time. Everything was fully wrapped and packed to protect it. At the other end, they negotiated the Philly streets in the 20ft truck with ease. Everything was unloaded and put exactly where we wanted faster than we would have thought possible. I hired "moving staffers" via PODS of America to help me load a POD. "Moving staffers" hired a third party "H&M Movers" to help me load the POD. I moved on October 31, 2012, from Willow Grove, PA. The POD was going to Florida. The two men arrived and were very efficient with their work. I was impressed until I found out what was missing once I arrived in Florida. It was a very busy day to load the POD and I did not have time to watch these men most of the time. I saw what was going out to the POD when they were taking the boxes that were ready. Toward the end I packed two clear plastic containers/totes with blue lids that opened up in the middle with a zic-zac seam. In the first plastic container, I put all my inserts from the kitchen drawers that contained utensils (WMF German brand) including knifes, forks, spoons, teaspoons, all the spatulas, ladles, and boning knifes from Sweden, a 10"Zwilling JA Henkle chef knife, my whole Wursthof knife set (7 knifes, + 9" breadknife, 5" tomato knife, Santoku knife, and a carving set) and a Zwilling JA Henckle file knife brought in from Sweden. There were many more items unaccounted for. In the second clear plastic container were some of my best serving dishes. These include Nils-Johan gratin form one oval and one rectangular in shape with copper braising, and one copper large oval serving dish just to name the most valuables. There were other serving dishes as well that are all gone. I saw both of these clear plastic totes leave the apartment to be loaded in the POD, but they never got loaded. All my kitchen utensils that I had in my kitchen drawers and on the kitchen counter are gone. All my knifes, forks, spoons, teaspoons etc are all gone. All my good chef knifes are gone. I used to be a professional chef in Sweden, and nothing I had was cheap "stuff". The value of these missing items are estimated to be $3,280. This is not including everything that was lost in these two clear plastic containers. Some items you just can't replace. When Thanksgiving came around I had no silverware, no knifes, and only two serving dishes. Thanksgiving was not possible this year in my house. We ended up going out to eat Thanksgiving dinner which was not what I had desired. I went to Publix and bought 4 knifes, forks and spoons. This is all I have for now. I paid these two guys $464.00 to help me load the POD for three hours, but that did not give an allowance to take these two totes. When I got to Florida and discovered that these totes were missing. I filed an incident report with PODs. I spoke to "moving staffers" and they told me to make a police report. However, when I spoke to both Willow Grove police and Horsham police, they could not do a police report over the phone, and since I was no longer in the area. I was advised to make a police report in Orlando even though the incident happened in Willow Grove. Now PODS are looking into my insurance since I had purchased insurance for the content. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYBODY, unless you can have somebody watching these guys the whole time. The moving business have always had a questionable reputation for less than honest people, and this incident has once again proven me right! I have the names on these two guys and the work order#. These are the worst kinds of people who will take advantage of an opportunity to rob you of valuables when you are not looking! Even though you paid them to do a job. Supposedly an honest job! This company is also "licensed and insured", well that does not mean anything!! Apparently there are no consequences to steel. This business should not be in business doing what they do, if this set the standard of business. With this company you are certainly not building trust! BE CAREFUL THAT THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN TO YOU! read more

We had them over for two days packing my parents pod. The first day they were like machines! Never really stopping and getting everything out safely and then they told us we needed another pod. So it was delivered a couple days later. My hubby and I couldn't b there at their house bc they live 2 hours away. In my absence, there was a water leak in the basement and also a misunderstanding with the pod people ... These men stayed and helped my parents ... Without charging them any extra! And they were available emotionally and for moral support to my parents as they were physically and mentally exhausted by this point. They told my parents they would stay till the job was done and they did! Great people:) read more

These guys were great!!! Easy to work with, professional. I called about 15 different places the week before I needed to move from Roxborough to Center City, which happened to be during one of the busiest moving weeks of the year, and they were available! I was scheduled for an afternoon slot, and because the morning job ran late, the two movers were late to my job. However, they politely called me early on to let me know they would be late. When they arrived they were ready to go and had me moved out of my three story townhouse within 40 minutes and into the 16 foot truck. They completed the job in under 3 hours. I was so impressed with their efficiency and how they hustled... They took such great care and nothing was broken!! I was amazed. Best money I have ever spent! read more

This is probably the worst company I have ever had the misfortune to have to deal with. The alleged manager doesn't appear to grasp common courtesy of NOT interrupting a customer, then the husband compounded it by taking the phone, yelling at me to stop yelling at his wife, then hung up on me. Clearly no comprehension of customer service or even basic manners. AVOID THEM LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!!!!! Personally, I cannot comprehend how they retain their contract with moving staffers inc. (Edit, the deleted phrase was unnecessarily insulting to Moving Staffers, Inc and thus removed as my only issue with them would be the lack of judgement in allowing this organisation to represent them). The (I'm guessing co-owner/whatever) decided to post a response, demonstrating her poor listening/customer service skills in the process. I had dialed the number provided (800-658-7292) - the same number I had dialed previously regarding the same issue, chose option 2 to speak with the destination mover (again, exactly as I had done previously), and then attempted to explain I had called previously and spoken to someone (I specifically did NOT state I had spoken with her or anyone in particular), and while attempting to explain what had previously occurred/etc, she kept interrupting me (which I did call her on numerous times before losing my temper), thus escalating the call and precipitating my pointing out that if she'd shut the f#$k up, she would have all of the information I possessed. At this point, a male voice (presumably, the husband) got on the phone and started bellowing at me to stop yelling at his wife. This, of course, escalated the situation even further (yeah, very professional) to the point that it devolved into me telling him to train his wife to shut the f up, and him letting loose with a string of obscenities before hanging up on me. While I can easily own my errors here, it is obvious they either are too prideful/etc to see their errors, or are too weak-livered to admit to it, instead choosing to air this here instead of contacting me to discuss some form of resolution. As I stated in my reply to the,, I hope and pray Moving Staffers, Inc can pull and listen to the recording of the call (though, to be fair, based on their attitude, I would be very surprised if they actually did record the calls, because it's quite evident they believe there will be no consequences that will occur as a result of their actions). I am confident that, if that occurs, they will shortly be losing their contract with M.S.Inc. I should also point out the fact that their own site doesn't even have a single testimonial praising them - obviously no negative ones either (I would be very surprised if they had the integrity to post negative reviews of themselves, to be honest). We hired H&M movers to help us move in center city philadelphia. From the moment these guys showed up, they were amazing. They didn't stop moving!! Constantly just lifting boxes and furniture and loading the truck. My roommate and I were not only extremely impressed by their efficiency, but also by how they took such good care of our belongings and by how nice and courteous they were. Other moving companies had predicted the move to take 4 hours. These guys did it in 2 flat. I just used H&M Movers on Saturday July 12 to move my mother out of a 3 bedroom house into a 2 bedroom condo. The call was scheduled for between 8-9 am and they arrived at 8 with a small truck. I was stressed and lost it saying that there was no way this stuff would fit. The driver calmed me down and explained that it would. He was right and I was sooo wrong. They packed the truck with a level of perfection I have never seen. They wrapped and moved every box, chair, table and misc. piece of furniture and packed it into the truck like some real world version of Tetris. It was amazing. H&M Movers quoted me 4 hours and managed to move everything in about 3.5. They even helped unload my sister's vehicle. That was not asked or expected but they went the distance anyway. The 3 guys were respectful, courteous and clean. There was not a single mark on a wall or on furniture and when we were unpacking everything was accounted for. Another thing that I thought was amazing was that they even remembered where some of the boxes were taken from in the house and put it back into the corresponding rooms. They showed a great deal of respect to my mother as well. I would hire these guys in a heartbeat if I ever have to move again. I looked at about 10 Movers and was skeptical about any of them. My friends hired these people. We have been packing for weeks. We even have blankets sitting waiting to be used to cover items. We are still packing few items and are taking some items ourselves and they are separate. They show up this morning come in the house, look around, take photos of items they are not even moving, don't say a word, leave the house and drive away. We call to see WTF and are told only then that they deemed some items to unsafe to start to move. They say ... A chair with blankets in a basket on top of it, several totes with clothing in them and saying items were in the way and they couldn't walk to take stuff out of the house. They took pictures of our dog kennel (which their NOT moving anyway) and totes without lids (because they are not to be moved). It may not be perfectly clean and paper might be all over because they are PACKING and MOVING. ODD since the stuff in the way was the stuff they were to move FIRST. The totes of clothing they were not taking anyway. Then the basket of blankets wasn't being taken by them. Now they want to keep the money that was paid for up to a week before refund. Unsafe my butt, they over booked and went on to a higher paying job. They admitted they had a bigger job right after ours. So that is the answer it is all about the money. They want to keep ours and not do the job they were hired for. NEVER USE THESE PEOPLE. Excuses and bad customer service. These guys are amazing! They were so quick and careful with all of my stuff. They wasted no time at all and took no breaks. They disassembled my furniture and reassembled it. H&M are THE BEST MOVERS! I find it really hard to imagine any negative reviews for this family owned business. My first contact was to inquire about cost after seeing so many positive reviews on Yelp and Angies List, for a move in South Jersey. Even though I have movers in my home town, after talking to Mary & hearing a price that was extremely affordable, I decided to risk someone unknown to myself or anyone I knew. Hector & his crew showed up approx. 20 minutes early and couldn't have been more respectful, kind or considerate about moving my things while making it as easy as possible for me. Friends that stopped by to help, all took his business cards after seeing how hard working and kind everyone was, including the initial contacts with Mary, who helped me prepare correctly. I will hire H&M and will highly recommend H&M to any friends or family going forward.
