    When I gave my positive review it was before they started the move but Jay had come by and gave us…read moreour estimate (which was supposed to include unpacking; but when they went an extra day to pack they couldn't unpack since they had another job; he then gave me a name of a girl who could help but I would have to pay her) after he saw everything and yet it went way wrong. His quote was a few thousand lower than it ended up costing me; I paid the highest amount that I heard from friends in my previous neighborhood who moved to the same development but their movers were not available. He later offered to help bring in some of the boxes but we were so frustrated by how much work we had ahead of us we just couldn't comprehend having him come over but as we were getting to the end we had some heavy items that needed help to move and I tried recently to call him and he doesn't answer the phone. That is why I wouldn't trust anything he says! BEWARE! No matter what is said get exact price written down, what is exactly is included, watch how they wrap everything and fragile items you should take yourself and be wary if they say boxes are included! I originally thought it went well till I started to unpack. Now first off I had an estimate including them to unpack but they misjudged the amount of work that was required. So it ended costing me triple the price and they didn't have the time to unpack. They also only marked half the boxes with what was in them making it very frustrating for me to know what was worth to unpack immediately. Upon moving the boxes that they piled up triple high and very heavy caused the move to be extremely difficult since we are in our 70's. Upon opening the boxes the items were wrapped and re-wrapped with so much clear plastic that we spent hours cutting through to get to the items. They did this to many things that were non breakable pieces like boxes of cereal but a vase from Greece was wrapped in paper and was broken in pieces. A cup from Russia also broken was thrown in with the vase and a piece of paper place between them no wrap on the cup. My small 2 drawer file desk was emptied in a box mixing paper clips, rubber bands, pens, markers, and everything else that was in jars. All our items with cords instead of keeping them together they were all thrown in different boxes and still have not found them. We have a very heavy sewing table with machine needed taken up to the walk up attic(our second floor) it is still sitting in the garage and now we have to hire someone else to take care of it otherwise we can not park in the garage. DO NOT HIRE THEM! THEY Will PROMISE TO DO THINGS; BUT BEWARE!! ALSO I WAS CHARGED FOR EXTRA MATERIAL; THEY USED SO MUCH MORE THAN NEEDED!!

    Terrible experience! I booked our cross country move with…read moreJohn from Cloverstar. I sent him a complete and accurate list of inventory. A few days prior to the move we reviewed it together and made changes to ensure it was completely accurate. I then get a call from a company called "Leadership Logistics" giving me a time they would arrive. Cloverstar had brokered out my move to this unscrupulous company! When two movers arrived it was in a rented Ryder truck with graffiti on it (I didn't see the truck at first as I was going over paper work). The bait and switch game soon began. Even though I had a binding agreement the driver said I would either have to pay $400 more for "ensuring things were packed right" Then the amount jumped to $1,100 more or go by the weight of the truck. I immediately called Cloverstar and spoke to Phil jr. (one of the owners) he advised me to go with them and watch them weigh the truck once my things had been loaded! I argued the point that I had a binding agreement and why was a company I had never heard of changing it??? I spoke to Rachel at Cloverstar who said she would call Fernando at Leadership Logistics. In the mean time the drivers left to supposedly weigh the truck. After 2 hours of arguing I either had to pay an additional $946 or they wouldn't take the shipment. They clearly knew I had to be out of the house so I had to agree. They loaded everything and left. I was told by the driver Jose the furniture would be delivered in 7 - 10 days (the same that John from Cloverstar stated). 3 days later I got an odd phone call from Fernando the owner of Leadership Logistics. He said that Cloverstar would be giving me a $600 credit and he wanted me to pay that to him!! He also said he wasn't going to be doing business with Cloverstar as "they are not good people" I said I had no idea what he was talking about and was calling Cloverstar in the morning. I called Phil Jr (owner) the next day and he said he had no idea why Fernando would say that as I was not getting a credit he then said "we think Fernando has a drinking or drug problem! Just tell him you got the credit and when your furniture arrives don't pay it!" I couldn't believe my ears, I said "that's your advice??' He then said he would have Rachel handle it and call me back. I then sent him and his Father an email saying I wanted no part of a dispute between the two companies I only wanted my agreement abided to. When a week passed I called Leadership Logistics (LL) to see where my furniture was and they said it hadn't left California yet!!! They were waiting for a truck that was headed east!! I called Cloverstar who NEVER returned my calls. Even though in their own agreement it states "CloversStar Movers will act on behalf of the customer in resolving any claims or delay issues with the carrier" LIES, they never even returned my call and with caller ID they wouldn't even take my call. I emailed the owners Phil SR & Phil Jr and requested a refund for the $946 as their own contract says "Customer has a binding price the total cost will not exceed the estimated amount, providing the items did not change' I kept calling LL and was told the same thing over and over again "management is working on getting you a truck" We finally received our furniture 26 DAYS after pick up!!! CloverStar does not live by their promise on their website! OUR PROMISE We promise to be with you every step of the way during your move. We promise to provide honesty throughout our time together and to stand behind our price, services, and guarantees. Ha what a crock!!! They should be ashamed of the way they treat their customers. They did not stand behind their price or service. I recommend you stay away from them at all cost. BTW we finally received our furniture 26 days after pick up and yes several things were damaged. The move had been brokered out yet again to Roadway. Their movers were polite and professional and I only wish I knew they did cross country moves I would have booked with them.
