Terrible experience! I booked our cross country move with John from Cloverstar. I sent him a complete and accurate list of inventory. A few days prior to the move we reviewed it together and made changes to ensure it was completely accurate. I then get a call from a company called "Leadership Logistics" giving me a time they would arrive. Cloverstar had brokered out my move to this unscrupulous company! When two movers arrived it was in a rented Ryder truck with graffiti on it (I didn't see the truck at first as I was going over paper work). The bait and switch game soon began. Even though I had a binding agreement the driver said I would either have to pay $400 more for "ensuring things were packed right" Then the amount jumped to $1,100 more or go by the weight of the truck. I immediately called Cloverstar and spoke to Phil jr. (one of the owners) he advised me to go with them and watch them weigh the truck once my things had been loaded! I argued the point that I had a binding agreement and why was a company I had never heard of changing it??? I spoke to Rachel at Cloverstar who said she would call Fernando at Leadership Logistics. In the mean time the drivers left to supposedly weigh the truck. After 2 hours of arguing I either had to pay an additional $946 or they wouldn't take the shipment. They clearly knew I had to be out of the house so I had to agree. They loaded everything and left. I was told by the driver Jose the furniture would be delivered in 7 - 10 days (the same that John from Cloverstar stated). 3 days later I got an odd phone call from Fernando the owner of Leadership Logistics. He said that Cloverstar would be giving me a $600 credit and he wanted me to pay that to him!! He also said he wasn't going to be doing business with Cloverstar as "they are not good people" I said I had no idea what he was talking about and was calling Cloverstar in the morning. I called Phil Jr (owner) the next day and he said he had no idea why Fernando would say that as I was not getting a credit he then said "we think Fernando has a drinking or drug problem! Just tell him you got the credit and when your furniture arrives don't pay it!" I couldn't believe my ears, I said "that's your advice??' He then said he would have Rachel handle it and call me back. I then sent him and his Father an email saying I wanted no part of a dispute between the two companies I only wanted my agreement abided to. When a week passed I called Leadership Logistics (LL) to see where my furniture was and they said it hadn't left California yet!!! They were waiting for a truck that was headed east!! I called Cloverstar who NEVER returned my calls. Even though in their own agreement it states "CloversStar Movers will act on behalf of the customer in resolving any claims or delay issues with the carrier" LIES, they never even returned my call and with caller ID they wouldn't even take my call. I emailed the owners Phil SR & Phil Jr and requested a refund for the $946 as their own contract says "Customer has a binding price the total cost will not exceed the estimated amount, providing the items did not change' I kept calling LL and was told the same thing over and over again "management is working on getting you a truck" We finally received our furniture 26 DAYS after pick up!!! CloverStar does not live by their promise on their website! OUR PROMISE We promise to be with you every step of the way during your move. We promise to provide honesty throughout our time together and to stand behind our price, services, and guarantees. Ha what a crock!!! They should be ashamed of the way they treat their customers. They did not stand behind their price or service. I recommend you stay away from them at all cost. BTW we finally received our furniture 26 days after pick up and yes several things were damaged. The move had been brokered out yet again to Roadway. Their movers were polite and professional and I only wish I knew they did cross country moves I would have booked with them. read more

Do not book with this company!!!! I contacted them about a month ago about our move from Baltimore to Denver CO. I spoke and ended up contracting with Phil Moore the owner. We had a binding agreement of about $1600 after going over our inventory. Phil seemed like a honest and pleasant person to deal with. After giving him the deposit of about $500, he told me that his coordinator Megan Hamilton would be in touch with me to work out details and help me every step of the way. She never got in touch and I really had to keep on calling to get a hold of her. She was really nice and seemed to have given me some good advice. She even send me a recap email with some more info. She said that she would be back in touch a few days before moving date which was May 30th (2 days ago). I didn't hear from her at all and decided to get in touch 2 days before the move. Nobody was answering the phone. I tried all extensions and emergency number but no luck. I decided to call Phil Moore on his cell phone but the line was shut off. I texted, emailed and tried everything to get in touch but nobody ever called me back. My husband and I went online and read terrible reviews of customers that went through the same thing and even worse. We realized that we got scammed and contacted the credit card company right away to dispute and block the deposit charge. We were lucky to actually realize it before the moving day as some people seemed to have been screwed over by shady subcontracted "movers" who came to load their furnitures and never delivered them. Nobody even showed up on the moving day and we had to go with Plan B. Phil Moore and his people are liars. They will take your money and will never honor any agreement. Do yourself a favor and never do business with them. read more

The worst moving experience I have ever had. I was lied to multiple times, had our move brokered out to third party movers who rented a Penski truck to load our household goods. The crew which showed up consisted of two illegal aliens (they told me), and another guy who who could have been 50 cent's evil twin. The rate quoted me went from $4,500 to $10,500 -after they loaded the furniture. No pay- no furniture. I'm suddenly held hostage and forced to pay or else. After paying up, they delivered our things by yet another sub-contractor who just happened to be going our way. Seriously. This is where it really went sideways.They broke a third of our furniture and have refused to provide insurance info they claimed to have. Check D.O.T. (Protectyourmove.com) for their record. Seriously, if you are thinking about moving this spring or summer, save yourself a headache and a lot of grief. Don't let their friendly dialogue fool you. They come across as nice people just wanting to do a honest days work. For God's sake, look elsewhere. You'll be sorry. read more

DO NOT trust these guys! After giving a $1200 deposit this company and their "CEO" Phil stopped answering or returning my calls and never showed up to move my belongings cross country. After texting the original sales rep Gabriel asking for a refund, he then started using my card info fraudulently to do some online shopping! After a month and a half I am still dealing with a dispute on my credit card trying to get my all money back. read more

These individuals are unscrupulous, having been contracted to pay one amount but brokered with another company, Leadership Logistics, additional amount was charged. Items were held in storage, no date given for move, after 7 weeks, contacted by Leadership and additional cost was accessed. Spoke with Mike and Phil at Cloverstar and they are in business with these folks. This move was due to the recent death of my brother and this only acerbated the loss. Leadership did not keep appointments, lacked moving supplies and storage facility had to remain open to accommodate their guys. Ive never had a move that's not handled top to bottom by the military. Recently widowed and moving out of state, I called several moving companies to find a good price and a trustworthy company. My 4th call was to Cloverstar. They beat 2 quotes and threw in a flat rate and got my contract. I was a little unnerved that I had to pay 1/3 down but I put on a credit card and hoped it would all work out. The company is a broker so they shopped around and I was given a company on the Phoenix end and one in PA. 500 Moves associates was hired and the pick up was nothing short of spectacular. 2 guys loaded 4000lbs in under 3 hours, helped wrap stuff and were friendly and professional. They kicked butt. I wasn't given an exact ETA but I beat my belongings by 5 days and it was scheduled to arrive Sunday morning at 9. Showed up on time and with an amazing driver. I've moved conservatively 10 times as an adult and none have gone this smooth before. I've yet to unpack so I cannot speak to any claims that might be made however I'm SO impressed with the service and CUSTOMER SERVICE that I had to write this right away. It has taken me so long to find a place to be able to share a review and my experience with Cloverstar! The social media pages were taken down at some point even. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. Everyone I dealt with was a fraud. From being quoted less than $5000 to actually paying more than double that-for less of my items than I was told!! Or they simply would not release my items back to me!! I had to leave behind some items because 'they didn't have room for mine" because they had at least 2 other peoples belonging in the same truck as mine. AND some of my items were missing when they finally arrived. And others were broken!! When I booked with Phil Moore I was never told that they were actually hiring 'sub contractor' to actually do the move. The 2 guys came- and were shady as heck! And the one kept asking me if he could have-like just take- some of my belongings!!! What the heck!! Then when they finally got my things to me-late- 2 guys who I'm sure were previous prison inmates-showed up. Myself and the owner of the storage facility were truly afraid of them. I was too afraid to keep asking where certain items were and even more afraid to say no when the amount that I was to give them suddenly increased!! Do not ever do business with these people. Right after I used them I read a bunch of reviews of similar stories. They are hard to find, but search hard and you will see. Beware. read more

would give negative reviews of this mover if I could. We contracted Cloverstar to move our family from Chicago to Kansas city. We gave them a two month notice on when we would need to be moved. 10 days before the move we reached out to the rep we were working with here and his email and phone were shut off. We then attempted to contact their main office where no one would answer. Finally we were able to get in contact with the owner Phil Moore who assured us that our move was still scheduled they were just experiencing issues with their phone system. Phil assured us he would update us with a specific day and time the movers would show up, though he kept pushing us off. Then he just stopped responding to emails, phone calls, and text messages all together. Their phone system at their office was still not working and emails to their customer support team bounced back. We ended up having to contract another mover who was able to get us moved the same day. We made a deposit with Cloverstar which we are assuming we will never see again. I recommend that no one ever do business with these movers or Phil Moore either. He is a liar and a cheat. read more
