We had our wedding here on July 5th. We originally had a date set for May 16th, but due to covid, we had to push it back. Aaron was super responsive and helpful with postponing the wedding. My husband and I were always welcome to come to farm and look around, discuss set up and plans, etc... whenever the farm was open without appointment. All staff members were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. Jess even happily entertained our five year old during our rehearsal. She showed my daughter the fish, let her collect some eggs, and even hold a chicken. It's a very diy venue, so it does take some pre planning. With that said, the tables were already set out and were able to decorate the night before and store additional items in a locked room at no extra charge. I recommend renting umbrellas if you are planning a summer or day time wedding. There is some shade, but the umbrellas were a life saver. And seriously, is this not the most unique, gorgeous, and affordable venue in SoCal? 10/10!! read more

This place is simply amazing! You'd never know this little oasis existed in residential Anaheim. I just learned about it last week and had to check it out for myself today. We're a homeschooling family and always interested in fieldtrips especially when it supports the local community and helps so many others. My kids ages 10 and 8 sampled all the produce Aaron (the founder) picked and now are asking when we can get one of these hydroponic systems built in our yard! We asked Aaron and his helpers/employees/volunteers so many questions and learned so much about farming responsibly. Recently attended a wedding at Riverbed Farm where their cats were allowed to jump on the tables and eat the guests food. Though it was a beautiful setting which reflected perfectly the vibe of the bride & groom which is why I gave 2 stars, it was overshadowed that there was only one restroom for approximately 100 guests and many guests (both male & female) resorted to urinating in the parking lot. read more

We got married at the Riverbed in March 2017 and it was an absolute dream! This venue allowed us to get creative and it was fun planning the details(although you could definitely hire someone to help!)Aaron was extremely helpful in this process- I emailed him several times asking questions and he replied with many suggestions. He also allowed me and my family to visit a few times so we could get a good feel of where tables and decorations should be-Extremely accommodating. As for the big day-it was full of love, went smoothly, and so much fun. We had a staff member on site who helped tremendously with moving some tables and benches. We had a taco truck for dinner, brought our own alcohol, and danced all night to our dj! Plenty of hotels around for guest accommodations. It was a unique venue which kept it fun for family from out of town but also intimate which was important to me because I wanted to spend time with my favorite people. My daughter had her wedding here this past weekend and we found this little gem of a place through a family member. It was the perfect place for her special day. The staff and owners are amazing and very helpful. The photos taken at the farm turn out so beautiful because of the rustic farm beauty. Just got married 3-31-2018 at the best farm in OC. From start to finish, Aaron was the absolute best! We were able to have our dream wedding at the Riverbed Farm. I highly recommend this venue if you are starting to look. :) We had about 100 guests and brought all our vendors in. I can't think of any complaints and couldn't be happier. This is a guest stand point Looks: When you finally find the farm behind a neighborhood its a little underwhelming it look a bit like a nursery rather than a farm. I did like the light string decor and the open space in the middle of the space. Service/Experience: As far as the party goes it was fabulous it was well done with the decor/ games/ food/ entertainment. The venue was spacious that about the positive out look of the situation.I personally would not have a party here due to the bugs, the limited shaded areas, and VERY limited noise threshold for the venue. If you're going to have food in your event make sure you have covers and have someone designated to shew all the flies away because there was a lot.I can only imagine having a party here during the summer bugs and dehydrating heat there was barely any shaded areas for the venue it was uncomfortable and borderline stressful(i don't know if they offer renters any type of canopy or tents). At first coming into the venue i actually thought oh wow this would be a great place for a nice private dinner and maybe have a dj after (i like open space/nature feels) but as the day goes on i felt the bugs and the very abrasive dislike of any sound of music. The event i went to did not have a dj but they did have a Singer and a Guitarist that brough 2 1 speaker.They were told that the volume would have to be at the very lowest, for about an hour they played acoustic music and a little bit more upbeat music till a care taker comes up to us and gave us a warning that the music will have to be shut off after one more song.This was a complete MOOD KILLER.Everyone was having such a good time listening to the music and singing along.We didn't want the fun to end and the singer saw that he offered to sing without speakers and will basically just sing with no amplifier, we were still shut down.Mind you This was at about 5pm on a weekend it was not 2am where you can imagine would disturb the neighborhood. Promo: None that i know of Restroom: I didn't have to go. Final thought: The venue is mediocre at best it was very hard to find and is not exactly a farm more like a nursery.My personal experience with the care takers and events manager of the venue was not pleasant,I experience them just dismissing any form of logic when it comes to "meeting in the middle" as a guest i found it rude and displeasing. The venue is great for a short field trip or a quick lesson on planting.I do not suggest this as a "party" venue for kids or adults.Health and safety is a bit of a concern when it comes to food and bugs having to keep a noise level to a whisper is really difficult if you're having a childrens party let alone an adults party where there will be talking, laughing, and maybe music. read more

Such a beautiful place to have a wedding. We had our reception here, on 10.6.2019. For the price, and freedom, this place is a freaking steal. We really wanted a backyard wedding and this venue really lets that happen. It was sunny and hot, but the shades over the tables made it a lot cooler. We bought our flowers from sams club, alcohol from costco, and food from a taco lady. We had two porta pottys, but I think one would have been just fine. This review is coming from a wedding planners point of view. I found the Riverbed Farm and when planning a wedding for a couple, I knew it was their venue. We visited and the couple fell in love and booked their big day on the spot. Working with Aaron and his crew was wonderful. He is very low key, but also available. The space itself is very versatile. It can be used for a traditional wedding or its perfect for the couples I tend to work with who want something unique and nontraditional. The layout can be used in many different ways. Bringing in your own vendors is a breeze and always a plus when choosing a venue. I always recommend this space to my clients. Hopefully I'll get to do another wedding there soon! read more

I researched online to find a place we can afford and sort of diy it. And the riverbed farm came up. I immediately emailed the venue and they were so quick to respond. Aaron let us come see the farm and was so very helpful with all the questions we had. He was always so quick to respond which is always a plus. The venue let's you bring your own catering, alcohol, DJ and decor! But you can also ask them for recommendations. The venue already comes with seating, a bar station and dance floor. Which was so helpful and nice that we didn't have to rent a bunch of crap. Our wedding was magical and so easy. We invited 145 people and they all fit at the venue. We had such a great time! This farm is incredible on many levels: 1. The site is impressive. The construction of the grow beds and the fish tanks mix well with the beauty of the vegetables. 2. The mission is honorable. This is a community farm that educates, provides, empowers and sustains. 3. The vegetables are clean. I'm not sure it can come much cleaner. No toxic materials...just God's nature doing its thing. 4. The fish are fun. Who doesn't like looking at healthy fish? 5. The guy running the farm is outstanding. You need to meet Aaron Flora. After planning and securing our anniversary party with a signed contract and deposit, the Riverbed farm decided to cancel on us a month before our event day without any acceptable excuse. Our invitations were printed and already sent out before they left us hanging one month before our anniversary. Our deposit was given back but I would never recommend doing business with this "non profit". After looking on instagram the day our event was suppose to happen, we saw that the riverbed farms decided to rent out their space to a company on the same date they cancelled on us. This farm, by far, exceeded my expectations for my son's first birthday party! We had a carnival theme with games and the space was very accommodating which made it amazing for family and friends to enjoy. They also provided feeding for the chicken and fish so the kids had even more to do. For the number of guests, the table benches provided onsite were perfect, the weather kept beautifully, amount of parking was great and the compliments on location for his party just kept coming. Our homeschool group took a tour here to learn about sustainable farming and aquaponics. What a wonderful experience! Aaron was really easy to work with and was great with dealing with so many kids of different ages. Even the littlest ones were engaged and enjoyed seeing the fish, chickens, and sampling veggies from the garden. They are doing an incredible thing for the community and I highly recommend checking them out with your school group. They also host weddings and other events.
