What a beautiful RV Park!! Sits on the river, so clean, warm and welcoming. Office staff was so helpful and friendly. Night person Kim is just a hoot! Funny, very helpful and even helped us park in a better spot due to size of our trailer. She continued to check in us to make sure we knew where hook ups were and settled in...... she even entertained our kids while we repositioned our trailer. Never experienced such kindness. Great park!!! Thank you from our family! :) read more

After 5 years of full-time RV living, I can confidently say this is the absolute best RV park we've ever stayed in. The location is unbeatable--you're close to everything in town, yet steps away from a beautiful, relaxing lounge area right on the Truckee River. The facilities are top-notch, but what truly sets this place apart is the staff. They go above and beyond to help you settle in, resolve any issues, and host fun community events. Having looked around the Reno area, no other local park even comes close to this level of quality. We are so happy we chose this place and will absolutely be back! read more

Can't say enough great things about this little hidden gem. My hubby and I usually book our campsites as we go based on our eta, weather, pit stops, etc. As hubby drove yesterday, I looked on Yelp and found a little site just outside of Reno along the river that looked promising. I tried to book online but it wouldn't let me so I called the number and spoke to a very pleasant woman who took my reservation over the phone and even offered me a first responder discount! Upon arrival, they were set up for after hours check in and very organized and timely. Chris, the security officer guided us right to our site and was very pleasant. Our site was a premium river side set up that did not disappoint! We backed up to the river with lush trees and greenery all around. There's a beautiful patio with chairs, tables and Edison string lights overlooking the river where we would sip our drinks after a long day of traveling and watch the geese and ducks in the river. There's also a couple of benches and fire pits established for campers to use. There are long term residents throughout the park, and some sites are pretty close together so we were very lucky to have gotten a premium, roomy luxurious site at last minute. We definitely recommend paying the little extra for a river front site. Site 11 & 12 are the best! PS: the staff is very responsive to texts and questions and they were a delight! read more

We just left here after a 3 night stay. It's a wonderful park on the river. Access to the river walk and downtown is 0.53 miles and very convenient if you're a runner like myself. My husband, dogs and I loved it there. Shady spots and nice people! We will be back! read more

This is one of the most serene RV resorts on the Truckee River in RENO NV. The staff is the most friendly, welcoming, helpful customer service oriented crew I have ever had the pleasure to deal with... They are very informative. From the manager to the security. Day crew Becca & Adrian are wonderful!. Kim is the night staff whom is very friendly funny and entertaining. This is great place for everyone. We came here last year for the first time and will return every year forward. The cleanliness and we'll maintained Resort is a welcomed change. We give them a rating of 5 STAR. Thank you for a wonderful stay read more

We know nothing about Reno camping resorts. We purchased an RV in Reno and needed a place to stay. We stayed 2 nights here and it was a great experience. read more

Extremely friendly and helpful staff! Every time we ran into staff, they greeted us with a friendly wave and smile! They go around in carts to make sure everything is running smoothly. We had an issue with bees and they came within 5 minutes to help resolve the issue. Everything is clean and there are cute areas to sit and relax in. Packages were able to be delivered and some areas had private gates. There weren't any issues with any homeless people by the river (we never even seen any homeless people at the river like other comments we read). It's located near grocery stores, gas stations, and fast food places. We're definitely coming back again. read more

Staff are very professional, well maintained grounds. 4th of July cheerleader Ms Kim and her patriotic ride, totally cool.

River West Resort - The beautiful Truckee River right out my RV door. - RV Parks Near Me - Reno, Nevada

It's a beautiful park. Well kept. 75.00 a nite. The only problem we had was the long term people each have a gate to walk through your site, and they do. It's a invasion of Our privacy. We had no idea this was going to happen. We asked them to go around, but no they told use they were long term people and have every right to walk through Our site. We won't be back. read more

This is a great place! We only stayed one night but from what I experienced, it was very nice. Staff is super helpful and friendly. They are well-organized. My car tag with my spot number was ready for me, and they made sure to show me the phone number of the night manager. The email I received the day before my reservation spelled out what to do to check-in depending on arrival time. The grounds are well-maintained, and there's an area on the property near the Truckee River to have a fire as well as tables and chairs for use. The bathrooms are clean, and the shower stalls are fairly spacious. Close to the downtown and River Walk District. read more

This park is such a delight to stay at! It is such a great location to Reno, but also feels secluded being right on the river. The patio area right by the river is so nice to spend time at and very beautiful. The staff are incredibly kind and helpful. They also have a night manager, so it feels very safe. Highly recommend staying! read more

This place was so so amazing. The camp host Brad was an absolute Legend giving us knowledge about areas near by and some History. Beautiful grass areas and the river had multiple areas to relax and meet wonderful people. Manager was so nice and kind and asked how things were going and if we needed anything. Our cats loved it. Wow. What a find. Right in the heart of Reno yet very peaceful and filled with nature and trees. Full hook ups. Beware that this is an old park so you'll need lengthy sewer hoses and water hoses. Very easy to find. It's less than a mile from 80. Helpful and kind front office. We love this place already and we've not even been here 24 hours. Highly recommend! read more

Stayed a few nights here. Checkin was super easy. Called when 20 minutes out as we were checking in after 5. Nice gentleman answered and met up with us at front office. He guided us to our spot and helped back me in. While the spot was ok, it provided all the items we needed with full hookups. My spot was on crushed granite and was just barely big enough for my 32 ft class A. Had a slight rear slope so I needed to use some blocks to level up. No biggie for me. Was quiet. Only issue was the screaming lady one morning at 4am yelling "give me back my keys" along with some other choice words. I'd definitely like to come back and check out the river spaces. read more

Very friendly staff and neighbors. The resort lines the truckee river and is beautiful! Many long term sites are fenced in and private for a month to month stay. What a lovely, clean, safe place to stay! We spent one night here in a spot backed up to the river. What a beautiful view! Checking in was easy, we were walked right to our spot by such a nice and friendly man who was a co-owner of the resort. I took a morning walk all around the park early this morning. It was quiet, very clean, and felt very safe. The park was full, some travelers some residents, but everyone had beautiful clean spaces, no clutter around anywhere. There are plenty of trash and around but there was no sign of bugs or critters or what you can find at campgrounds. We used the bathrooms, including the showers. They were also clean and did not disappoint with supplies: full length mirrors, combination lock on the main entry door and all the stalls and shower, and plenty of soap and towels at the sink. The shower stream was strong and there was plenty of hot water, a camper treat! We will definitely suggest this place to friends and come back if we come this way again. read more

This is an update to my original review since Lance the business manager had to get involved and completely deflect and blatantly lie instead of accepting responsibility that they deceive people and con you into staying there with deceptive pictures and layouts online. Lance stated that I was already there staying and asked for a refund that was not the case I had just arrived and was parked on the street. I hope the couple nights money you received from me was worth all the negative attention you get from my reviews. I stand by everything I said I recommend no one stay at this place there's way better places to stay. read more

Helped us out in a pinch, got us all set up, and even sat on the grass with us to provide some local restaurants and things to do! We had planned on staying one night but liked it so much we stayed another. Highly recommend the river front spot, it's beautiful. Nice bathrooms, showers, and laundromat. We decided to stay at River West Resort for Hot August Nights! We wanted to bring our RV and enclosed trailer this time. We picked the best place to stay. The night manager, Dale is absolutely the best! All the staff is very friendly. The resort also has beautiful cottages for family and friends to rent too! It's very quiet and sits along the Truckee River. It is also located short distances to most of the Hot August Nights show and shines. We had a crew of 4 couples and we all enjoyed it so much we are planning the same trip next year! read more

Loved our stay at River West. We stayed in a river-facing RV spot and had a great time. The staff was super friendly and helpful, especially Dale the night manager who helped us with check-in and parking, and gave great recommendations of the stuff to check out in Reno. We stayed for 4 nights and I totally would return again. The resort is centrally located about a mile from downtown Reno with the main casinos and about an hour-ish from lake Tahoe. Not many amenities offered, but the bathrooms and showers were clean and had hot water. That was all we needed. read more

What a hidden gem! In the hustle and bustle of the city is a hidden treasure. This park is right on the river, well maintained, has level sites, and a warm and welcoming staff. Only one glitch (which was my fault), and the owners were immediately on it. I would recommend this place to everyone. read more

The staff was not happy to help. They kept my entire $250 deposit, which is a ridiculous amount to begin with. Place is cute. Parking is a pain and you don't get privacy with the closeness of each site. read more

It was my first time to Reno and River West was a great place to stay. The cottages are so cute, nicely appointed with tall, angled ceilings, making them feel spacious. The living area has a fridge, sink and microwave, a large TV, sofa, chair and hi-top table with two stools. The bathroom has a very nice shower with rain head, an my room had a king sized bed. read more

To call this a resort is a joke. Dumpy permanent trailers. I don't know why they asked me how old my motorhome was? My site was just big enough to fit my awning almost reached the neighbors trailer. No table as there was not enough room. I think they gave me the worst spot since I was only one night. All this for $116 unbelievable and the most I have paid and the worst park ever. Move on DON 't stay here read more

Dale, the night manager, was very nice and welcoming and even called us while we were on the road--"just to make sure" we "were okay"! And to see if we needed directions to the property. I thought that was so cute! Property is nice and quiet, shaded with trees, and has a lovely sitting area right next to the flowing Truckee river. It was beautiful. The roads/paths throughout the property are sandy/gravelly and so we tracked some mess into our vehicle but wasn't a big deal. The bathrooms are well ventilated, clean, and the showers were TILED (which I was so grateful for) and super clean with HOT water for cold mornings and COLD water for hot days. The lot was not perfectly level but it didn't bother us. We liked the table and chairs set up on our lot's lawn under the tree. They also have tiny homes you can book that looked so cute! We paid just over $70 for one night. We will stay again. read more

Broke up a long drive with an overnight stay in a full-service pull-through site. Full-service is right! We were lucky that a phone call just 24 hrs prior landed us a site - such a helpful woman on the phone, and Dale the night manager escorted us to our site when we arrived. River West is just a few blocks from the interstate, but it's smallish, quiet, and full of friendly guests. Many food and grocery options within walking distance, so we didn't even have to uncouple our trailer. Recommended! read more

We stayed at River West overnight as we traveled through the Reno area. The property is a mix of long and short term RV sites; it's clean, well maintained and our site along the Truckee River was quite lovely. Customer service was most excellent all along the way: we had an unexpected delay in arriving but the office folks were helpful to get our reservation changed. Upon arrival we were met by Dale, the night manager who greeted us, showed us to our site and gave a few quick instructions to set up. A wonderful place to stop - highly recommend! read more

Right in town so easy to get to the Balloon Festival. Great hook ups and quiet park. A bit of road noise and some trains nearby. My husband and I arrived at River West Resort on 8/30/24. There was no one to greet us at the park. I have to get out and go into the office. I met the office person and she checked us in and drew us the map on where our spot was. It was spot # 8. My husband backed into the spot where he straddled the concrete pad. The pad was not big enough for the trailer tires to be on. The septic connection was uphill, which is unusual as it should be downhill. The water pressure was low as well. This certain spot was not shaded although there are matured trees in the park. This spot backed the Truckee River which was nice for the dog. read more
