Ace discovered that the prior roofer(2017) had failed to seal a gap between the shingles and the edge of the chimney. The roof that was replaced was two layers, and when it was replaced with one layer, that left an inch or so gap between the shingles and and chimney, which they failed to seal and also failed to install proper flashing so that water would drain away from the chimney. Ace repaired the issue and their price was very reasonable. Recently, I noticed paint cracking and dampness in a ceiling. I called the company that installed the roof-as it is nearing the end of the warranty. They sent someone who said he saw nothing wrong, and claimed they might need better ventilation. He said someone would call. No one did. I called Ace, he went up and saw the source of the problem, a bullet hole-likely there from someone's errant New Year's celebration. He fixed the issue within 15 minutes. Ace is responsive, and most important, he acts with integrity and his assessments are credible. Irrespective of 'warranties,' I trust him and will always call him first.

Now the bituminous sheets are buckling because the decking wasn't replaced (we would have paid for this!) and water is leaking in again from the childish looking flashing job. Calling BW is infuriating because he kind of laughs at you and says he'll send someone out and, of course, no one ever does. I fixed the flashing along the back roof, and the gutter flashing. The buckling was a challenge, but managed to get it reasonably straightened out, though I'm sure the life of the roof is compromised. I recommend that you do not choose BW Roofing. It's not worth the aggravation.

BW did not fix the leak properly the first time, and we had a pretty serious leak during the first substantial rain after the initial repair. When we called to utilize the 3-year warranty stated on the invoice, they argued with my husband that it was a burst pipe despite the fact that we were able to trace the leak back to said chimney. They finally agreed to come out and look at it but refused to give any better timeline than "Monday before 4pm" and tried to convince my husband that he didn't need to be home when they came out. All they did was sloppily throw white caulking over our dark flashing. It's still leaking, and now it looks terrible. Called again and they refuse to do anything about it. They are now saying they never worked on the chimney, and that we'd have to pay $350 more to have them repair it. Would never use this company again or recommend to anyone ever.

On the restoration side, Aarion was so responsive, helpful, and thoughtful. On the construction side, we were delighted to work with Rob, Nolan, and their crew. Our new kitchen is gorgeous, and the craftsmanship is top notch. Their hard work and customer service focus made what would have otherwise been a terrible experience into a great one.
