I was visiting Hermann for the Wurstfest. Procrastinated too long and couldn't get a place to stay in Hermann. Staying at River Sirens was a last minute decision after not being able to find anything else. WOW!!! I will never stay anywhere else when in the area. I was completely blown away. It is very obvious the owner, Chad, spared absolutely no expense to make River Sirens unique and luxurious. From the opulent sinks to the immense shower to the extra bells and whistles to the stocked mini fridge and everything else, River Sirens has my vote for the best place to stay. One of the fun extras is the LED lighting. 1st place I've ever stayed that had those. There was lighting under the bed, behind the TVS, and under the counter with a wall controller. We ran into a little SNAFU. For whatever reason, our room was missed for cleaning/refreshing. Life happens and these types of mistakes will happen to everyone. We're all human. When they do happen, I look at how management deals with it. Some places will deny there is a problem. Others will blame the problem on the customer. In my opinion, those reactions are unacceptable. In this case, I spoke with Chad (manager/owner.) Chad immediately dropped everything and made it right. He was very friendly and gave us a lot of suggestions for things to do while he was in our room. Turned the SNAFU into a positive.

We loved our stay at River Sirens! Beautiful brand new suite with backlighting, deck, view of the river and walking distance to restaurants and shops! Well-stocked mini-bar fridge with snacks and very communicative owner. Would stay again anytime!

Fresh flowers in the room. :-)

My boyfriend and I came by on Saturday to kill some time between a wedding ceremony and the…read morereception. We love historic bars/restaurants and this fit the bill. The inside was beautifully done. This is a great option for some slightly more upscale food in a semi-casual atmosphere. We sat at the bar for probably close to 10 minutes before receiving any service, we were dangerously close to leaving when the bartender "came back from break". He did apologize, and did a decent job waiting on us after that--albeit a little slow. There was another worker (Nicole?) clearly carrying the team, who was waiting on all of the bar area tables and perhaps others in the restaurant as well--she was delightful when she ran our food out for the bartender. I was excited to see their extensive beer selection. I opted for a boulevard wheat (one of my absolute favorites!). We ordered a couple of appetizers to hold us over until the wedding dinner we were about to attend. The flatbread of the week was a white sauce base with sausage, prosciutto, and bacon. When it first came out, it looked underwhelming, but it was amazing! The crust on the bottom was beautifully browned, and the combination of flavors was perfect. We also ordered the spinach artichoke dip, which was just average I'd say--very heavy on the cream cheese, not a ton of gooey cheese. All-in-all I would likely try it again.
