Welcome to Hotel Disappointment! :D If you don't mind non-existent WiFi, $25/night for valet only parking, toilets that "normally" don't flush, and not having those security door guards on your hotel door, this is the hotel for you! I'll give them ONE plus, location, but's pretty much it. After my family of 3 checked into our room, we quickly learned that toilet wouldn't flush... that is, if any one of you try to use it, within 20 mins of each other. It wasn't clogged, the toilet tank just takes forever to refill. While we alerted the front desk & waited a repairman, we managed to flush it 3rd world style: with buckets of water (ice bucket + tub water). The repairman came & said the toilet functionality was "normal," and refused to give us another room. Guess we'll just hold it in! Lastly, the fold out couch. Every place I've been to with a fold out, normally is already sheeted, or has extra sheets in the closet. Nope. Just a flat/old looking mattress & 1 fleece blanket in the closet. No pillow or sheets for you! Yay! :D Oh and if you want to call the hotel, hope you're ok with getting bounced to a full voicemail & automatically being hung up on! Triple Yay!

My husband and I just stayed 1 night before our cruise. We didn't want to spend too much since we had a full schedule of events ahead of us, but i would definitely not come back. Not recommend unless you are willing prepared for bottom dollar motel style service and room accommodations. In the room the carpets are old and dirty. Didn't want to take off my shoes. There were no basics like Kleenex, hand soap or comforter. The beds were so basic you could feel springs when you laid on them. There are NO hotel benefits. No restaurants or any additions - simply a lobby. There was complimentary breakfast with disposable plates, cups and silverware. You made your own waffles and there were sausages, canned fruit, toast, and assorted beverages as well as wear flake cereal. The pool in the photos online are also pretty dated. See photo attached. Nothing like what is advertised. The only plus sides were it was cheap ($120 per night), the bathrooms in the room were nice, and it's location is right next to the river. ----also we almost got stuck in the elevator. On our way back down it was broken and we had to carry our luggage down 15 stories in a dark concrete stairway. ----and upon check in the attendant asked for my credit card I used to pay the reservation with. Unfortunately it was stolen from me around Christmas so I didn't have it. They told me they had to "refund" the stolen card that had since been deactivated and charge my new card?!? Apparently, they have done this before and it works...I will keep you posted in the turn out.

Room - ok Location - Good No parking - the valet parking guy charge you $25 for the same place where you can park yourself in $19 next to hotel Breakfast - subpar, very limited options, Frozen fruits ( seriously !!!) Room Service- for late check nothing Elevator - always busy elevator. They lady on the front desk gave hard time to my friends and family while checking in and even after written complains I haven't heard anything from the hotel management.

Location, location, location I'm convinced the only way this place stays open (and justifies the price point) is it's location. Other than that we were not impressed at all. Lobby: In the bathroom in the lobby you get a great snapshot of the post because of the lazy painting over the old 70s wallpaper. You also need to grab the wifi code while in the lobby, if you forget, don't worry because it doesn't work anyway. The Room: The beds didn't match the room, clearly it was designed for one queen but they tossed in 2 doubles to justify taking out the sofa couch that used to be there. The TV was from another decade and what channels did come in were Spanish and had horrible reception. There is also a fun game you can play that I'm now calling Miami Phone Roulette: where you plug your phone in for the night and gamble whether it charged or does the plug no longer work. The Bathroom: The shower had two temperatures, lukewarm and cold. Also the hairdryer heated up nicely, although no air actually came out. "Exercise Room": Great place for parties, 3 tables and about a dozen chairs with a beautiful view of the roof. Overall it's like a 16 story Motel 6 in downtown Miami, good for an overnight before a cruise and not much else. P.S. At least their were 4 waffle machines at breakfast so you didn't have to wait, as much... P.S.S. If you are going on a cruise their system for picking up the shuttle is a bit of a mess so you'll have more luck/be less frustrated calling an Uber or Lyft.

Besides the moldy, musty , muggy odor in this place, the 2-Star is extremely generous. To d insult to injury, the entrance to the hotel is super crowded, but the overall feel of this location is ancient and mid evil. There was a old stench that permeated through the elevator and the rooms were nothing different. Aside from the miniature box size rooms with the matching jail-like bathrooms, it was dirty and unclean. We found a soda bottle and an empty chip bag behind the night stand. The handle on the shower faucet was so rusted I had to yank it for the water to run. Also, the walls and carpets were stained. Luckily we were only here for one night. Other than the close proximity to the Miami port being part, I will never visit this place again. Don't waste your money here. Try the holiday inn at bayside for the best experience in this area.

Old TV that makes a nice ringing noise.

We booked this place using Priceline's "Name Your Price" feature, which I don't recommend any more than I would recommend this hotel!! They don't tell you where you will be staying until after you book it. Once we found out where we were staying, I looked for reviews. Once I saw that all the photos and reviews were terrible on here, I tried to cancel through Priceline. They wouldn't allow it because they "stand by their reviews" that most of their customers enjoyed this hotel. That was the first and last time I will use the "Name Your Price" feature. Since this review is for the hotel, not Priceline, I'll leave it at that. The girl working the front desk was very friendly and had great customer service skills. Thankfully, check-in was easy and fairly quick because the furnishings in the lobby were drab, old, and seemed dirty. I didn't sit down or get close enough to find out just how dirty. The decor wasn't any better. The room itself was just terrible. It had a strange entry area with a tiny, old box TV, a desk, and a chair. There was a "wet bar" area with a rusted old stainless steel sink in it. Through this area and another door.. into the bedroom where the decor, carpeting, and furniture were very old, mismatched, and dusty. The bathroom was very dated but clean. Once I peeled back the very very old and ugly duvet, I found that the sheets were stiff but clean. The TV was an old box TV that made an awesome ringing noise when it was on. We walked around in flip flops. The traffic 5 stories below could be heard very clearly through the filthy windows. The people in the neighboring rooms could be heard as well. Since we arrived around 10pm and we would only be there one night, we decided to stick it out. There's a vending machine for snacks and pop, but that's it. My husband ventured out to the nearest place we could find for some groceries, which was a 24 hour CVS - nothing else in the area was open. He made me stay behind because the area we were in was swarming with homeless people and he was afraid for my safety. I recommend spending your money elsewhere.

You get what you pay for. This place is cheap and has a very convenient location but... Everything here is old and outdated. This place has such prime real estate it is a shame it doesn't put the effort to renovate. The service is very friendly and they do have shuttle services. Biggest upset is their "free breakfast". You would have to pay me to eat that breakfast. White bread, prepackaged muffins and cereal... No thanks

I booked a room here last week to stay overnight before going on a cruise out of Miami. I'll give the pros first. The location was great. It's in the downtown area and you can easily get around via Uber for dining and shopping. This hotel also offers a $6 per person shuttle to the cruise port. My standard room was a decent bargain with a price tag just under $100 with my Sam's Club discount. Now for those cons... My room was extremely outdated. My third room floor room had a horrible view, looking out onto the hotel's AC unit. The sprinklers were covered in dust, the walls and doors were dirty and needed a paint job, and the bed was very low and extremely uncomfortable. The carpet also had stains and cigarette burns. Mind you, this was a non-smoking room. There's no way I could have stayed in the room for more than one night. I have some relatives who stayed here during this same visit and had a room on the 14th floor. Since they had two standard beds, the room was much more spacious. Their room was a little bit cleaner. They had a beautiful view but also had the same uncomfortable beds and carpet stains. In addition, their room had a big, back TV. At least I had a flat screen. If you are considering getting a room, be sure request one with double standard beds and a higher floor. Just be prepared to deal with a not so comfy bed. I won't be returning. I am only giving this hotel two stars because of the location.

    Told you I didn't exaggerate.

If you're accustomed to 3-star hotels, stay away from this place. There are certainly worse hotels but it's pretty rough here. Pay the extra money to find a hotel that's more hospitable. Parking? Valet only for $25 a night (too expensive for a place like this) - slow service. Room? Outdated but tolerable. Our remote control didn't work so naturally we checked the batteries, they looked like they had been chewed up by a dog so we called to have some replacements sent up. Guy arrived shortly after with a duct taped shoe box full of remotes and said he had to "re-configure" the remote to the tv... Ok? Weird but it resulted in a working remote + tv. Bathroom? Terrible layout, terrible lighting. Had to request more towels because we were only provided with 2 bath towels. They say they provide toiletries but what we actually received was 1 bottle of shampoo and 1 bar of body soap. Bring your own everything. Bed? Like sleeping on springs. 2 single couch pillow-sized pillows. Hallways had "The Shining" feel so if you're into that, that was kind of exciting. Continental breakfast? Real bad. Real powdery eggs. That's about it. Nothing written is an exaggeration.

Not bad for the price hotel is old and dated but my room was clean could use a remode asap they still have tube tv's talk about going back in time. but I would stay again

    Beautiful, closed bar.

So far it's not good. Took a while to check in. The kid at front desk was all by himself with a long line of guests waiting to be attended and a phone that kept ringing every few minutes. Our room was large and clean but, had no WiFi and no towels. Went downstairs for breakfast and it was horrible. My in-laws also stayed with us (in a separate room) and had no running water. I called front desk to report it and the guy at front desk just said, "I already spoke to them" and hung up on me.

Sink drain backs up. No plunger.

Run down is compounded by poor maintenance performance. Repairs not made up to snuff unless you're from a third world country. It's taking its toll on a perfectly placed hotel that was once quite nice. Stayed for business at the exhibition hall next door 3 Nights. Love being next to James Night Center and Metro Mover so I needed no vehicle during my stay. Breakfast had 4 different waffle iron stations so they did good there (put a table spoon of syrup in your batter and mix that in before you cook it). This place needs a reality show to come give it and management a make over.

    Phone half broken, no buttons.

BED BUGS & HAIR DRYER WENT INTO FLAMES!!! STAY AWAY FROM HERE!!! I stayed here last week and I regret even considering this as an option. Booking last minute and it being the cheapest hotel in the Miami area, I took a chance and went with it. First thing, the $25 valet parking you must pay. Upon entering, you notice the outdated, run down hotel environment. It almost looked as they haven't remodeled in over 50 years. Aside from that, we had a large room on the 8th floor with a nice view of Downtown Miami. But, then upon entering the room, I noticed a leftover toothbrush, the phone was half broken, the TV did not work (ended up calling the technician), and the room did not seem clean. I did not mind at first since i knew what I was paying for. The bed bugs. I woke up the next day with a couple red bug bites, super itchy. Ridiculous. Bed bugs in a hotel in Miami?! I was furious at this moment. Next, the hair dryer. I went to go turn it on and in seconds I started to smell it burning and smoke coming out of it as it went on fire. I quickly made sure the hair dryer was put out, went downstairs and checked out. I told the front desk receptionist what had happened and he simply said "oh okay". What kind of establishment is this?! This hotel lacks basic cleaning skills, a responsive staff and needs to be checked on by the local health inspector. So just trust me and spend your money at another hotel with a better experience.

Walking distance to a Publix, the mall, bakery, etc. The hotel checkin is on the 6th floor, the first floor is mainly a seating area and concierge. They offer free hot breakfast, mini fridge and microwave in the room, cruise shuttle at time of this review is priced at $12 with pick up times at 10a, 11a, and 12p. If you miss breakfast, they had breakfast bags with fruit and other grab and go items. You will need your room key to access the laundry room and guest floors. There is no carpet in the room I was in (basic king- not the elite level) and pets are not allowed. Service animals only. The hotel has a lobby bar, three restaurants are located right next door (Sproutz, Batch Gastropub, and Shahs of Kabob). I dined at Sproutz and Shahas of Kabob and both are good, but they are not affiliated with the hotel. I stayed 3 nights prior to my cruise and I really enjoyed my stay. The air conditioner worked with no issues, pillows are very soft, bed was firm, but not uncomfortable and I slept better in that bed, than my own. There is a master light switch to control the overhead light in the entry and bathroom. You can operate them separately (it just takes some flipping of lights to figure it out). Decent water pressure and nice, hot water at night. Morning time I suggest getting your shower in early. Hot water is still present but not as hot as it was the night before. Tip- I took my shower at 5/6am the morning of checkout and the water was hot and perfect for a nice shower before leaving for cruise. Staff was always smiling, friendly and willing to assist. Carlos at the concerige desk is very helpful, ask for his recommendations and he is more than happy to assist. The 7th floor has the laundry facility, but many machines were out of order. This is going on my pre cruise hotel list because it was the perfect hotel and the perfect location. It was about a 15min ride to the cruise port and airport. The cruise port ride was booked for 8am, so I beat the 9am bumper car cruise port traffic. The video I posted is short and quick, but a glimpse of the room

We had a two day stay before heading out on a cruise. An extended vacation if you will. The service was phenomenal! We stayed on the Elite Level which provided extra goodies, and benefits. Sharing a picture below of what they define as the elite level and the benefits included. The location is perfect, in the middle of all things Brickell/Downtown. We were surrounded by restaurants/eateries, coffee shops, stores, the park, city centre you name it! Super convenient because we didn't need to call a Lyft to get around. So you better believe on the days we did go out, we got our steps in. It's giving HEALTH! 2026 who?! We are starting NOW honey! Okay, back to the review....hot (and cold if you're into that) breakfast was served each morning for free! You read that correctly. Free food honey. I mean you did pay for it so why not go ahead and eat? Your business not mine. Non-smoking hotel. Pools. Fitness center. The whole ordeal. A little store with snacks, drinks, and whatever else you feel you may need or want. I should also add that the hotel prides themselves on being accessible. Let's move towards cleanliness. Because cleanliness is next to what?! Godliness! Okay, I see yall! The room oozed of cleaning products. You would have thought the staff had just left from pouring Clorox and whatever other good smells needed to make a space smell delicious. Oozing with fresh aromas! The bed, not mine, but theres, was one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in when traveling. Hotel beds typically don't bring out the best in me, I am in fear of all beds that are not my own. Laugh if you must but I am who I am! However, a soft bed with clean linings - sign me TF up. The elite levels are on the 14th and 15th floors. They provide robes and slippers. Did not wear the robe. Read what I said about the beds and sit with that. Anyway, I did wear the slippers and they are about as thin as a sheet of loose leaf paper lmao! The chair rolled on top of mine and ripped the back of it so they lasted about 12 hours for me. #SelfInflicted I know. It's a nice touch to have in your hotel room though. Me personally, I travel with slippers. As I bring this review to a close, I want to highlight the staff members that assisted during the stay. Mr. Ernest, Russell, and everyone else at the front desk that extended a warm welcome and consistent assistance. Thank you again! One hiccup that was addressed immediately. They have an "in-room dining option." This particular policy states that you can order food and have the food delivered to your room. Okay convenience! And accessibility! Well I ordered some food from a nearby eatery and the delivery person was not allowed up. "We don't allow people to come up to the rooms for safety reasons." Heard. And appreciated. Truly!! They value safety. My issue was when asked about the policy in place, being asked if I had a medical condition to where I couldn't come down and to get my delivery. While a relevant question, that is something I'd recommend treading lightly around. You never know anyone's health/medical condition. Furthermore, if your policy states one thing then every staff member needs to be on one accord. The issue was taken care of and the person was able to deliver my order. The front desk member was also not rude just inquiring. I appreciate how quickly the matter was resolved. If you're headed on a cruise or you're in need of a nice hotel that is conveniently located, Hampton Inn Brickell is your girl (or boy), be who you are!

My gf and I stopped through here on our way out before boarding our flights later in the afternoon. If you're toting your luggage and not a hotel guest, you will have to find another hotel to store your luggage while enjoying this most decadent brunch experience. Luckily we arrived early enough to our reservations to sort that out. Reservations are a must if you don't want to wait. The restaurant is gorgeous with various spaces designed differently but keeps to the exotic Asian theme. Dining in the atrium near the water feature in the middle with stage for the musicians is where we had our experience. Olga was our server. She brought us our special beverages not available at the bar: Bloody Mary's and endless bubbly in our glasses The offerings here are more than I can name, but there is something to satisfy every craving. The favorite for me is the caviar bar. It comes with all the proper fixings on a blini with Crème fraîche. Do you need a vodka shot to go with? Yes, that's also available also at the caviar station. Fresh raw oysters, clams or shrimp cocktail is available in abundance with everything else here. The ceviche was great. I passed on all the various noodles but had to have some lamb curry and basmati rice- delicious! I had some Peking Duck and leg of lamb at the meat station. The filet mignon and lamb chops was ordered and brought to the table. The leg of lamb and filet were slightly dry but still good. The lamb chops with chimichurri sauce was amazing- nuances of vibrant flavors. Assorted fresh fruits were a colorful collection of enticements. I saw some papaya and enjoyed its fresh, sweet juiciness. I am not a dessert person but had to try the key like pie. Then of course, the matcha dessert is a sitting temptation next to the pie. So, my dessert spoils were more than intended. What the hell right? Lol That was the sweet ending to my Setai brunch. There was so much more such as bread, fried stuff, eggs, bagel station, toast etc. One can only eat so much. I stuck to enjoying my favorites. The experience is pricey but so worth it. It is truly the best brunch experience I've ever had. - better than Vegas and a cruise ship!! I always have to experience a Setai brunch whenever in Miami!

Also, the SPA requests you must arrive 30 minutes before your treatment time. I got my parking validated BUT we stayed for brunch who also validated our parking but we went over the 4 hours so we got no discount for parking and we were charged the full $35 fee plus tip for the valet. The valet staff was quite nasty telling me we were there too long for the discount BUT each one of those alone qualified for a discounted valet. You can not do both in the 4 hour window.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for one night prior to a cruise. We used credit-card points to pay for the room. The employee at the front desk spoke nicely with us and allowed us to check into our room early. Our room had a balcony, king-sized bed, television, desk and chair, sofa, closets, large walk-in shower, wi-fi, and views of the bay. The room was comfortable and clean, but we could sometimes hear our neighbor's loud music. I did notice that the floor boards had gaps and that some wallpaper in the bathroom was peeling. Building amenities included a business center, meeting rooms, swimming pool, fitness center, a restaurant, etcetera. This hotel has a restaurant called Caña, and we ate one meal there. I will review it separately under its Yelp listing, but it was decent.

Hotel is in a really good location. a 10min walk to Brickell City Center which we absolutely loved. It's in a very safe neighborhood so walking to the mall even at night doesn't feel sketch. They also have valet. Overall a great stay. So happy we've found our Brickell spot! We will definitely be back! Thank you Hyatt :)

Ultimately, this review is mostly moot as the hotel is planned to be demolished in May (I wish I…read morehad known this prior to booking) and that explains a lot about the property. First, the good, it's an awesome location on the southern tip of Brickell Key. The pool was wonderful and gets mostly continuous sun exposure during the day. My balcony faced west so I had sun during the afternoon as well (perfect for a tan). Honestly, I never felt like I needed to leave the resort being a pool guy. The base price room was spacious and mostly clean with a separate shower and tub. The bad- the service wasn't great here. I felt like anytime I needed something I had to ask 3-4 times before staff would remember (including freebies that were part of the room rate). The one time I asked a concierge for assistance he was super brash telling me to go talk to the front desk. The property felt old and in need of a renovation (again it's being demolished so not surprising in that context). Also, a lot of the ads for the resort promote its beach which no longer exists- it's now a model home for the condos going in. The hotel is pricey and gratuity is auto-included at 20% for everything which would be fine if the service was better and they didn't ask for additional tip on top of it. I wish I stayed here 20+ years ago because it felt like in its hay day this was a swanky hotel. Today, it's tired, on its last months, and the staff really don't seem like 5-star talent (as a benefit to the doubt most people would be unmotivated if things were shutting down too). Part of me is excited to try the new hotel whenever it opens, part of me wonders if the poor service is just part of the brand. The gym was tacky- literally they just through equipment in 6ish guest rooms with the doors propped open. Kind of funny but not 5-star hotel caliber.

There is a minimum spend requirement for the cabana, but it was super easy to hit between food and drinks. After a long day of travel, we received two Prosecco as soon as we checked in and arrived. Our room was upgraded and it was located right across on top of the Naked Taco where the rooftop pool is at. It's perfectly located for anything you want to do, all the good food spots, bars, places, etc. The next day we went straight to the beach and they provide complimentary beach chairs, towels and umbrellas upon request and you just walk yourself to the beach with them. There's nothing like Miami Beach! The water was perfect and it felt so good to just defrost on the sand and dive into the gorgeous turquoise water. After a few hours at the beach, we went back, enjoyed late check out and headed to crunch fitness - which was absolutely worth it! We were able to leave our bags at the front desk while we worked out, grabbed a late lunch, some drinks and then got to come back and enjoy the rooftop pool during happy hour for drinks and snacks until sunset. The Brickell area is a vibe, walkable and full of restaurants and shops, which makes it a perfect pre- or post-cruise stay. The hotel's proximity to the cruise port was a huge plus. Check-in is self-service, but assistance is available if needed, which made the process easy and convenient. The king bed does take up most of the room, stretching from the window to the wall, so the room feels a bit compact--but it's thoughtfully designed. The sink is located in the main room across from the bathroom, and I actually found the setup pretty functional. The shelves around the sink were stocked with a washcloth, hand towel, hair dryer, and tissues, plus hand soap and lotion at the end of the counter. There was also enough counter space for toiletries. There's an open closet area and a nice touch of wall art, and the laminated wood flooring gave the room a clean, modern feel. One of my favorite features was the in-room iPad that controls everything--such a fun tech-forward touch. I also absolutely loved the decor throughout the hotel. The colors are vibrant, playful, and stylish without feeling overdone. The second-floor seating areas were spacious and inviting, and the rooftop/pool space was another highlight. There's also a bar on the second floor with outdoor seating, which is a great spot to relax and people-watch. Overall, this hotel has a fun atmosphere, smart use of technology, and an unbeatable location. I'd definitely stay here again, especially for a quick stay before a cruise.
