More concerning was that my ability to receive care appeared to be influenced by my husband's account status rather than my individual medical needs. This raised serious concerns about professionalism and patient-centered care. Additionally, the billing practices were excessive and unexpected. Appointments routinely exceeded $550, and I was charged at a rate of approximately $175-350 per hour for every minute of time spent, similar to an attorney's billing structure. Because there is no support staff, any time spent outside of scheduled appointments--regardless of how brief--was also billed by the minute. This was not clearly communicated upfront and felt unreasonable given the already high cost per visit. Patients deserve transparent communication, ethical decision-making, and care based on medical need rather than financial considerations. Unfortunately, that was not my experience, and I cannot recommend this practice.

I appreciate Dr. Yelin's directness as well as how informed she is. I applaud her for her charging as it makes it clear that she values her own time as well as the time of the patients that have later appointments. I saw two other doctors in Houston specializing in women's hormones before finding Dr. Yelin. I feel far healthier and more balanced under Dr. Yelin's care than those prior two. I love that she allows visits by video conference after the initial visit and is very clear on what I am to do based on her analysis of my blood work. Thank you, Dr. Yelin!

At my age, I've been to a lot of surgery centers (for me and my children), so going to one that is…read morethis efficient was a pleasant surprise. We came to the Conroe Surgery Center because my husband was having cataract surgery here. Communication is sometimes over-the-top with the number of text messages I received regarding appointment time, forms to fill out and directions here. I'll let that slide, since things went a whole lot smoother since we had all paperwork done prior to even walking into the center, we knew exactly when to be here and clear directions were provided. We've been here twice in a two-week period, since cataract surgery requires that only one eye be done at a time. Both times, check in was a snap. Waiting area is comfortable - clean, nice chairs and it doesn't have a lingering odor of stale coffee (in fact, complimentary coffee is provided). My husband was called in within 10 minutes of us arriving. Incoming patients are staggered, so there is never a packed room or a huge line of people waiting to check in. Office staff was very nice. Hubby said the nurses here were also very good. All around, a good experience for both of us. Yeah, it's a drive from anywhere south of The Woodlands, but access is so easy off of I45. Also, if you have a procedure scheduled here and someone will be waiting to drive you home - bring a sweater or jacket. It is COLD inside. I learned my lesson after literally shivering the first time around, so the second time I was much more comfy with my sweatshirt on.

I started receiving statements from US Anesthesia Partners. Why? Memorial Conroe Surgery Center contracted out this anesthesia provider without notifying me -prior to my surgeries- that they were out of network. If I knew about this out-of-network issue, I would not have gotten my procedures performed at Memorial Conroe Surgery Center.

It was definitely a weekend to remember. I experienced my first gallbladder attack, and if you…read moreasked me how it felt, I'd simply say it hurt. But on a deeper level, the pain felt like pregnancy contractions mixed with uncontrollable bloating and sharp pains in my abdomen and lower back. I was rolling on the ground for hours trying to find any comfort, but nothing helped. The pain was so intense--tears streaming down my face--that it even made me nauseous. If it weren't for Lisa pushing me, I wouldn't have gone to the ER. I never hesitate when it comes to doing what's best for my boys, but being a mom has taught me how easily I put myself last. I really need to learn to take care of me too. After a long night in the ER and numerous tests--bloodwork, ultrasounds, and MRIs--they found that my gallbladder was full of massive gallstones, so large that they spilled into the tube connected to my liver and caused a blockage. After talking with the doctors, it was clear my gallbladder had to go. The idea of surgery was scary, but I want to take a moment to thank the entire staff at HCA in Conroe. Everyone I encountered was amazing--kind, compassionate, and so patient with me. The ER team was quick and prepared, the technicians were gentle and always on time, my transporter Maria was so sweet, and my nurses (especially Diana) were incredibly supportive and knowledgeable. My surgeon, Steven Gale, made me feel completely at ease and took the time to explain everything in a way I could understand. He gave me confidence instead of fear. I truly couldn't recommend HCA enough. The facility itself was clean and everyone was so attentive. I truly felt I was amongst family.
