This nail spa is great thanks to Mary ! I always go back to her to get my mani pedi. I used to do gel mani all the time but she suggested I try their dipping powder and boy was it AHHHMAZING ! doesn't peel off easily like gel does or have your hair get stuck in it when you've had it for awhile. Keeps my nails looking good til the next visit ! Never really gets "cut" over here unlike most places I've been to where they just do things in a hurry and cut the side of your fingers due to their rushing. Mary takes her time and makes sure you leave happy with the outcome of your nails. I put a 4 star because the appointment setting is not very excellent. I think they overbook because today she was helping me alongside another client which to me isn't a good thing. Plus , I'm sure she also needed a break in between ! My water was running hot in the pedicure area and when she was taking off my callus I got cut at the sole of my feet. Nothing major but I think it could've been avoided if the appointment scheduling was set up in a more realistic time frame within customers. My review is for work done by Nghia... I wanted to be part of the current fashion trend and get a set of ombre nails. I expressed what I wanted and went in knowing that what I was asking for is difficult and may run into the possibility of trying to be convinced to do something else. That, however, did not happen. Nghia took to task what I was requesting and I was amazed at the attention to detail. He was extremely professional and focused on only his work. Everyone in the salon, including coworkers and clients, continued complimenting his work. I came in pretty early in the morning so there was no wait time at all. I ask for my toe nails to be cut one because they were too long and two I cracked one of my big toes nails and it needed it be cut before it got caught on my socks and rip. Not only did the nail tech not fully cover my fingernails but she also cut me by just filing! Never has this happened to me. The customer service here is awful there's only about one person who does your nails right and if they don't have time to do it they pass you on to the next person. The manicures are awful mostly because of the paint job. They want you to be happy with whatever they give you almost like they are doing you a favor but what they don't get is that you are the pain customer. We both came out from the place very disappointed and angry. They did a horrible job on the manicures and our feet look the same except with color in our toes. I took my 2 girls in today for us to all get mani/pedis. First off the girl that greeted us couldn't even understand that I wanted the girls to have mani/pedi, she thought I just wanted their nails painted. Finally got her to understand what I wanted, still didn't get it. They put the three of us in the spa chairs, she did my youngest first. Did not do a full pedicure, or manicure, basically washed her hands and feet and painted her nails. She didn't even do what we asked her to do. Then she disappeared! I am really disappointed. I found this place and really did like going here instead of driving to Beaumont. My nail tech MiMi very sweet young lady. I recently stop putting tips and start doing gel manicures which she has done. The last two times I've done them my nails chipped within couple of days. The first time only 2, went back she fixed. Great! Next time 7 of my nails the clear gel peeled off! The second time I went in on 3rd day early in morning to show her. Literally gel just peeled right off. Being I pay 40 bucks for my nails and 70 plus when I add my feet I thought I am a great customer. I came in today to show her that gel peeled right off. She said its the glitter, not sticking on nail polish, it happened to my sister too. Okay cool, I'm thinking just put another coat of clear gel and we're good. She suggest me take completely off and do in another color (I had white on) she said look they already getting yellow anyway. So I agree, she changes color. She wasn't as talkative as she usually is. She finishes tells me wash my hands and we were done. As I am walking out, a gentleman says "can I see?" I walk back to show him. He says "their okay" I say yes there fine thank you. He then says "I am only the messenger but sense you come back when MiMi does them she can't do them anymore" I say "excuse me" he says again "I'm just a messenger but MiMi isn't capable of doing your nails anymore because they always chip and she has to do again" WOW!!!! I politely tell him, it's not my fought after 2 days my nails fall apart. But basically he was telling me to go to hell. I look around for her, she is no where to be found. I thought goodness, if they wanted me to pay for it, that's all they needed to say. Although I would not have been happy paying for it again I would have. And the fact that she new it peeled from experience why not tell me before I get them done? Again I literally pay 70 plus dollars up to 100 every 10 to 14 days. Im shocked at how I was treated and completely embarrassed. Can't believe that happened. I guess theres a first for everything. If they are willing to let go of customers that easy they must be doing fantastic and don't need my patronage. Although Beaumont is farther I paid less and they actually did nail art. The workers here are friendly. But I wasn't satisfied with the outcome of my manicure and pedicure. The nail tech for my manicure didn't ask if I wanted my nails cut down and she didn't ask which shape I preferred she simply started doing what she wanted. The manicure is gel but it's painted sloppy. The tech did ask if I wanted to trim my toe nails and I said yes so she started to trim all. But my big toe nails were already very short near my skin so there was nothing to clip but she tried anyway. I believe I was nicked on my toe near my cuticle because it hurts. And most importantly in my opinion the sanitation wasn't the best regarding the tools used. I won't return here or any other salon for that matter. That's not what I got I got a slight thinner shape than square after he put on the acrylic they looked flat and thin they were too long at first so I asked him to cut them down a bit he rolled his eyes and started hacking them down he filed my skin and burned me I have hangnails now and it stings when he went to polish my nails he put the polish all over my skin he tried scraping the extra polish off with his nail he put polish in my cuts so they were burning! Check your bill when you go here, and ask for it to be itemized. They sneak in extra charges on your bill if you are not careful! I got the $45 dollar pedicure, with gel, for $5 dollars extra. I also got a dip manicure, for $35 dollars. The woman said my total would be $85 dollars, $50 dollars for the pedicure and $35 dollars for my manicure. No problem right? Except when it came time to pay, they charged me $93 dollars, for a total of $8 dollars in unexplained overcharges. This is very upsetting, although their work was good. I asked for an itemized receipt, and they wrote down $58 dollars for the pedicure, but did not itemize or explain why they added an extra $8 dollar charge to my pedicure. I tipped each worker $10 dollars, and paid in cash as well. After they split that extra $8 dollar charge they snuck in, they will each have made an extra $14 dollars. While I did enjoy the pedicure and manicure, their sneaky way of overcharging on the bill has made me unsure I will return. It's not fair to steal extra money from your customers, no matter how sneakily you do it! read more
