The best thing I have learned as a nutrition coaching client is to not give food more importance than it deserves. "Eat when you're hungry and stop when you're full" is the mantra. She encourages mindful eating and smart choices that are sustainable rather than a diet mentality. As far as the fitness part of the experience well she packs a great workout in just one little hour! You leave feeling energized, strong, and powerful. Every workout is different and more challenging than the one before. The small groups are the best, I love working out with 2-3 other people- it makes the workout more fun! I can do exercises I never could have done 6 months ago. All the workouts begin with mobility, then have a strength component, then finish with high intensity conditioning. I have lost 35 lbs in 8 months. I am stronger than ever and so happy I chose Ana as my trainer ! You will not be disappointed.

She always says, "Start where you are!" This quote makes exercising less overwhelming and discouraging. It reminds you that you will transform and be able to do more or better in the future. The small group personal training that SimplyLiv Studio offers has been a wonderful fit for me. I've been able to learn from Ana and enjoy the other like-minded members. You'd be lucky to find a trainer and coach like Ana! She's truly a gem.

It's so simple and has all the weight machines and classes. The staff is super nice and helpful and will answer any questions you have. I do this and another workout place and it's a great combination!

First, let me set the scene: I joined this gym before the location even opened and remained a…read moremember for almost 10 years. When I moved to Hanover, I had to let my membership go because I simply couldn't drive that far every time I wanted to work out. Since then, I've continued to support the gym as a guest instructor, helping with multiple classes--including set-up for Halloween and other special events--often using my own personal décor and supplies so the members could enjoy a fun and memorable Zumba experience. Both the previous manager and the one before that understood my situation and appreciated my ongoing contributions to the Monday night Zumba classes. There has never been an issue--until recently. A new front desk employee has become increasingly overbearing, rude, and aggressive. I completely understand if there are new rules or policy changes, but her approach is unacceptable. Her rules seem to change day by day, and she even charged three members $25 each for a one-day guest pass. During November--when Mondays were specifically advertised as "Open House Mondays"--she still attempted to block guests from attending the Monday night Zumba class. When confronted, she began removing the open-house signs posted throughout the gym, but she missed one, which I photographed for proof. On top of this, she involved the manager of the personal training department, who has no connection to the Group X team. That manager then entered the Zumba class, took the microphone, and scolded the entire room--calling out a member's daughter by name. Her interruption caused the class to start late and embarrassed participants to the point where a new member even raised her hand to ask a question as if we were schoolchildren. The unprofessional, holier-than-thou tone was completely unnecessary and disruptive. I have tried to keep my concerns to myself, but after seeing this gym receive an award for "Gym of the Year," I could no longer stay quiet. Zumba consistently brings in more members than nearly any other class. I have personally witnessed non-Zumba classes with only one to three participants. Alienating your largest and most loyal group of members is not a sustainable strategy. The Zumba community is tightly connected, and negative experiences spread quickly. If the current treatment continues, you will see members leave simply because they feel disrespected and treated as second-class. At this point, the behavior described is damaging your members' experience and your instructors' ability to do their jobs. I strongly urge management to intervene immediately and real change is seen Nicole and Mara are the employees

*Parents with children with special needs - PLEASE READ!…read more My son was diagnosed with ADHD/Autism two weeks before I registered for camp at the Tuckahoe YMCA. He's very high functioning and has been in the school setting since pre-k. I let them know prior to registering about his IEP plan and some accommodations we have in place. They made it seem like everything was okay! June 2nd was the first day of camp. Why did they politely kick my child out the program? First we talked about doing half days because it was a new environment but when I went to pick him up they basically said let's go ahead & issue a refund! I'm so frustrated but also understand all of the children's safety is the biggest priority! I think the most heartbreaking thing is they didn't give my child a chance to adapt to the environment or modify the camp schedule. They immediately decided they didn't want to work with him. I say this to say don't waste your time sending your children here for summer camp if they have any type of special needs. They will not work with them AT ALL! They didn't give my child any time to adjust. I'm disgusted with this location & the staff here.

They listened to my wrist injury (doctor's orders: no exercises on my hands), made thoughtful modifications, and ensured I still got a great workout. Unfortunately, my last class on July 22 with Erik Payne was a very different experience. From the start, his tone felt curt and dismissive when I explained my injury. He adjusted my setup in a way that made my modifications harder, and when I tried to get his attention, his responses felt snappy rather than supportive. Even after reminding him multiple times about my limitation, he continued to suggest exercises I couldn't do, and when I chose safe alternatives, he questioned me sharply in front of others. I became so uncomfortable that I left the class early and decided not to return for the remainder of my pass. It's disappointing because the other coaches were fantastic and truly made me feel welcomed and cared for. I hope this feedback helps ensure all clients -- especially those with injuries -- receive the same level of understanding and support.
