I had intense SI joint / low back pain that kept me from sleeping . She has been absolutely wonderful and was undoubtedly instrumental in the complete resolution of my symptoms. I have never undergone physical therapy before, but she is my physical therapist for life . I am 58 years old and , more likely than not , will need physical therapy in the future for some reason . Monica is now my go to girl when that time comes! She is highly professional and adept at addressing whatever issue you may have! I highly recommend!

I have been going to physical therapy on the Northside and am not happy with their services. First,…read morebecause this location does not have a lot of patients, they are constantly moving the staff around to other locations leaving this location with no consistency on who you will see or even who will check you in. You do not ever get the chance to get comfortable and build a sense of trust with the staff including the physical therapist. You have to constantly give them your medical history and explain why you are going to physical therapy and where you are in your treatments. Second, you may or may not work with an actual physical therapist. On two separate occasions I was seen by a CNA who just read off of a sheet on what she asked me to do. If I did see a physical therapist, he had other patients he was working with at the same time and I often had to wait between exercises before he could continue with me. Third, you do the same exercises over and over again. Once I was shown something, I did my exercises at home so going to an appointment where the do the same thing is a waste of my time. Fourth, I had an appt scheduled on Monday, but I got sick over the weekend and contacted my primary care physician and was able to get an appointment that was at the same time as my physical therapy appointment. I immediately called them as soon as they opened and they would not waive the cancellation fee of $50.00 regardless of the situation. I was advised that I should have called over the weekend and left a message to reschedule my appointment. Last, they are quick to charge me a late fee, but I had to wait to be called back at least 30 minutes for every appointment I went to. I would not recommend Coastal Physical Therapy on the Northside of Jacksonville, Florida (Dundas Dr).

Each location is staffed with multiple doctors who specialize in various aspects of PT. This location specializes in sports injuries. Being located with the YMCA is sweet. They encourage one to follow up with a healthy lifestyle. They also share a small headed, indoor pool for aquatic physical therapy. Which is the bomb for us in LOTS of pain. They even offer a free month membership to the YMCA after one is healed. And the YMCA has a sliding monthly payment for us poor folks. One can even apply for financial assistance for an even lower monthly membership. The pool and locker room are terrific. One might as well enjoy themselves as they recover from an injury.

Everything runs like clockwork, however I do find I am not always brought back start on time. It's usually about a 5 minute delay. The staff are usually multi tasking, which is fine by me. I don't need someone over me. My therapist and I work well together. He's very nice and intuitive the exercises or stretches I need. They share the facility with YMCA. I don't use the equipment within Brooks. I use the pool. It's getting remodeled Mid-Sept 2018, so hopefully that will look good. However, it's not Brooka so it doesn't effect this rating.

Which by the way, they charge $75 if you miss an appointment, but paid me nothing for wasting my time by taking off work for the non-appointment and all of the paperwork they had me fill out online. I was very excited to start my therapy with them and now I am completely disappointed at their lack of customer service. If you have Aetna insurance, don't bother with this PT center unless you want to pay out of pocket, which they tried to offer me before I walked out.
