Dr Shaw was very nice but then when she told me I had maxed out my visits for insurance coverage and wanted to sell me a package of visits I called my insurance company to see how many visits I get per year. The insurance company told me I have unlimited. I completely lost trust in the practice after that. Chad and Andrea are both so knowledgeable, kind, and caring. You can tell they are extremely passionate about health and wellness. I primarily saw Dr. Chad and he is the best chiropractor you will find in Jax, trust me! The chiropractor I saw before Dr. Chad did the same adjustments on me every time I saw him, and never really asked me how I felt. I could tell Dr. Chad anything from my upper back felt tight, my hip was in pain, my TMJ was bothering me, even when I had dizziness or just felt a bit "off," he had an adjustment for it! Seeing him regularly for the last 2 years has been very valuable for both my physical and mental health. The Shaws also offer a wide variety of high-quality supplements and they are an Ideal Protein vendor. I will say that if you are there for an injury, or on a treatment program, they will submit claims to your insurance. If you go just for wellness visits you have to pay out of pocket, so that is something to be mindful of. I really can't say enough good things about this office, including it's staff. Everyone is so nice, they are happy to squeeze you in for an adjustment on short notice, they use the best technology in their field. It's just a great place overall and you will not be disappointed in the care you receive. read more

I saw Dr Chad Shaw over a couple month period in 2017. I really enjoyed his positive energy and his holistic and measurable practice of doing an initial surface EMG to understand trouble areas and then working to improve that through subsequent subluxations. He is kind, thoughtful and receptive to the feedback you provide. I truly believe he wants to help all his clients find relief. There was an issue with what I was told initially regarding my insurance only to have it subsequently be out of network. While this resulted in much higher charges than I expected, Dr Chad worked with me to make this right. I will be coming back to see him again in the near future. read more

I don't know what I would do with out Drs Shaw. My baby is two and has been diagnosed with cerebral palsy. Dr. Andrea adjusts him every week. It helps with his spasticity, his movements and helps him to sleep. She is also a sounding board and has helped me with so much. Love this practice, Dr. Chad and Dr. Andrea are the sweetest and the service is top notch. The staff is always helpful and welcoming, plus there is never a wait. My favorite part is I can not only feel but actually see the results with the back scans that show the improvement from the beginning to the end of my treatment plan. Drs. Andrea and Chad take the time to explain everything they will do in plain English and explains how the nerves of your body are connected to our organs. In Dec 2018, I pulled my back muscles; after 5 weeks of therapy, and was pain free...until in March I fell and was painful again. This place confirmed twice that they took my insurance. Said it would cost about $9/ visit. They waited until AFTER an my 9th-ish appt to tell me that they were actually out of network and asked me how I'd like to pay my $400+ bill. No apologies, no offer to do the right thing and help me out with the cost considering their error. Just several bills and a threat to send me to collections. AND I work for an institution across the street with thousands of people on site - so I'm sorry but it seems like they'd have known they do not take my insurance? Maybe it's just me. Should I also mention that they were trying to get me to buy a fancy $100+ pillow and weight loss products (after I'd just had a baby - ) and I had an allergic reaction to their electro therapy junk. read more

I swear the doctors and their staff are saving my life! I was in a car accident a few weeks ago and I've been receiving therapy here for a few weeks. My pain has decreased and I'm finally able to live and enjoy life again. The doctors and the staff are so helpful and friendly. They are always able to answer all of my questions and give me specialized treatment specific to my needs. The office is always clean and the receptionists always answer the phone and often assist with same day appointments. I am SO THANKFUL that I am being treated by the doctors at Shaw Chiropractic. I came to Shaws last Tuesday/Weds with a neck pain issue. They took x rays, gave me stim therapy and adjusted me. Things went downhill from there. My shoulder started to hurt badly, and I was told it was referred pain, and was given stim treatment and another adjustment. I was sent out after that appointment still in much pain in my shoulder. I went in for a third appointment, same outcome except that I ended up in SEVERE pain by Friday and had to go to Carespot to get my pain issue addressed. The pain shot did NOTHING and my thumb started to go numb, so I was told to go to the ER, which I did. I had to get more pain meds, plus muscle relaxers, steroids and another pain prescription. It's been a nightmare - I lost a day of work and am still dealing with pain and my arm being numb from my thumb up to my bicep. My CT scan from the hospital showed irregularities, so now I have to get an MRI as well. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this place. read more

Shaw was doing a good job on adjusting my back but was over charging me and not filing claims with my insurance company so the $50.00 I paid for every visit has not gone to my deductible. Very disappointed in the over charges and I have found some one else to go see. read more

Chad Shaw popped a disc out of two places in my lower back after jumping on me in a way that no chiropractor has ever jumped on me - or attempted to adjust me - before. He was rushed and distracted and was quickly trying to fit me in between other clients even though I had an appt. and was on time. We met for maybe 4 minutes tops. Before this experience I had only had excellent experience with chiropractors. It's been three months and I'm still not completely healed. I only went to Chad Shaw for slight discomfort in my neck so this has been an absolute nightmare. When you have a child who has VSD, chronic ear infections, asthma, sinus problems, a colllapsed trachea with cronic coughing and dr's are giving you a run around, of medicines and now wanting to put tubes in his ears, because he has started to lose his hearing.. You get beside yourself, not wanting your kid to have to have surgery, for multiple problems. Luckily my brother in law, told me about his chiropractor Dr Shaw, and showed me the amazing video of the little boy who went to Dr shaw because of ear infections. So we made the appointment and went to see Dr Shaw.. The office is impeccable, and when you walk in you feel like you walked into your how with friends, thats how kind the staff is, than Dr shaw talked to use because he even started to check him out, he did a scan and walked a 6 year old through everything he was going to do, he made he took time to explain everything to me and to him, which I have never had anyone do and it made him more comfortable!.. After a couple visits we noticed immediate results, The 6 year old even said "hey I can hear again" I'm thankful for Dr.Shaw and the progress I have seen!
