All of a sudden my 4 yr old Siamese tom acted like his back leg was broken. I called the vet clinic, emergency care. We were in a room in one hour from leaving the house. I explained Bandera's fear of people. (He has a bullet in him). The nurse said not a problem, we have a cat whisperer. She had him in his back with her fingernails under his chin in minutes. We used to love River Bend, taking our dog for grooming every two weeks for almost three years, but after Derek took over, it has been a disaster. First, they cut my dog's nail up the quick and split his nail, which led to 2 emergency surgeries with Dr Fay. Then they decided to cancel our recurring appointments with no warning, which led to a very tense phone call with Derek, who was extremely rude, yelling me it wasn't his fault he was short staffed, yelling at me that he can't get us in for a month after my dog's original canceled recurring appointment. Then, we show up with our dog on our scheduled delayed date and Derek said we are no longer welcome at River Bend. Told the other staff to call the police on my husband - out of nowhere. Beyond disgusting behavior from Derek. He has no business being a manager and has absolutely no people skills. So unprofessional. I would avoid this place at all costs unless you like being threatened and verbally abused for giving them your money. read more

River Bend gives stellar care to our pets in every way.....from easy prescription refills to in depth care and treatment of more complex issues. Dr Faye is amazing and so caring! She even gets down on the floor to be on the level of my fur babies to make them feel more comfortable. Communication is amazing not only with Dr. Faye but also with the reception staff. I also love that they offer virtual vet appointments for established patients. I highly recommend this place! read more

We made a special appointment for my kennel anxious dog to be groomed here. At drop off I was told "at least an hour but she's first to be done". After an hour I checked in and the staff became a bit rude. Now it's going to be "at least an hour and a half". Went back after 3 hours and she still wasn't started. Woman at the desk is openly rude now because I didn't wait for them to call. I just asked to take her home at this point. Ended up paying $50 because they said they brushed her. Will definitely never take my dog here again. read more

They are the definition of the "other family doctor". I have been bringing my pets here for ages to take care of them and the doctor and staff always remember my animal's names and make sure that they check up on new developments. They give you options to work around the temperament of the animal to ensure everything goes well. read more

I called late on a Saturday for an appointment for my puppy and they fit me in last minute. They did a great job, the staff was nice and the vet even followed up with me on Sunday to make sure everything was OK. Great Job! I would use them again! read more

As of May 15, 2019 River Bend is raising their prices for day play. Customers were notified the first of May that prices would be rising but they did not have a new price list put together. Today they posted the new prices that take effect tomorrow which certainly did not give customers time to prepare for what is happening...sticker shock! I purchase the 30 day pass as it is the best deal and fits our needs. Originally a 30 day pass cost $350.00. Now it is $550.00! A 57% increase! That is way too high. The have priced us out of doing business there. 1/4 of my paycheck would go to that 30 day pass with the new price hike. My dog has issues (reactivity, anxiety, fear, no socialization) related to her treatment in her first two homes. River Bend is the only place she is able to socialize with other dogs. She is not stuck at home for 10-14 hours a day by herself thus avoiding separation anxiety issues. She is looked after and cared for. She enjoys going to River Bend and i trust them with her care. With the steep price increase I just cannot afford to have her there and that is going to set my girl back significantly. Now I don't know what to do for her. Her health and well being is all that matters to me and now that has taken a setback. I can no longer recommend River Bend for day play due to the steep price increase. read more

Excellent veterinary care. Dr Brandy Faye gives a spot-on diagnosis every time one of my fuzzibuttes needs doctoring. Her staff is friendly and courteous. Jane, the manager, is thorough and organized. The building is spacious and located handily right off the freeway. I can't find anything to criticize. The area needs veterinarians and we are very fortunate to have Dr Faye in our midst. Thank you Dr Faye! read more

Drop off and pick up were extremely disorganized. Nobody seems to be in charge and there was many miscommunications. We ended up being charged for a second day of boarding that we did not agree to and were given no knowledge of until we paid at pickup. The company refused to budge on the cost stating a policy we were not informed about until it was too late. read more

Brandy and her team are absolutely excellent. The building is state of the art and makes the animals comfortable from the first moment they come in. Brandy and her team work very hard to make every animal feel special and loved. We are from out of town and traveled with our puppy for the first time to visit my parents in Chehalis. The day we arrive, she ended up getting a massive cut on her side, which we thought at first was from our parents cat. We brought her into River Bend for the first time on Monday, she was clearly in a lot of pain. We met with Dr. Johnson and she had cleaned out the wound, gave her stitches, a cone, antibiotics and answered our approximately 100 questions. We do have a dramatic pup, but she literally wouldn't walk in and she sprang out of the clinic. We took her home, started on her drug regiment and she seemed to be doing well for the first day and into the evening on the second day. Then all of the sudden, within 10 minutes of running around - she was absolutely in a bunch of pain again. We examined her, and puss was oozing from the stitches, and it smelled. We are first time pet owners so we were freaking out. Thankfully - my dad had Brandy's cell phone number, which may seem odd but at this clinic it's not. Brandy gives her phone number to many of her regular clients because she's so committed to serving your pets. We texted her at 9 pm and she gave us home care instructions then got us an appointment for 8:30 the next morning. We took her in the next morning and turns out the wound was infected. This time we met with Brandy and she spend a bunch of time to answer all of our questions. We left her there but she got a large suite and we were able to drop her off with all of her supplies to make it feel like home. They took her into surgery and got her infection all fixed up and once again when we picked her up she sprang out of the office. She's doing well now and healing. Her pain seems adequately managed and the infection is not coming back. Dealing with a sick pet while traveling is stressful - it would've been way harder if we hadn't had the excellent care at River Bend Pet Center. It's also stressful to pay for vet bills because they can get costly, however River Bend Pet Center's cost was lower then we expected. Overall, we are just so thankful for this facility. read more

And her team was great with handling them and giving me information as they gave my dogs their shots and microchip. River Bend and Newaukum Valley Vet are amazing. Our dog has gone to puppy daycare (day play) since he was a puppy and it continues to be a positive experience. I was a happy client of the Chehalis Centralia Vet, then they got bought out by these horrible people, and it's really went downhill. I still enjoy my actual vet (Dr Johnson!) but the techs, front desk, and everyone else I have interacted with here have been completely unprofessional and seemingly untrained on how to interact with animals and their people. Our first vet tech couldn't properly administer our kittens vaccines and had to take her away and get help with her, and to get new vaccinations since she messed up the first ones, and it took multiple people at least 15 minutes to give her shots. Receptionist and phone staff are terrible. They ended up giving my kitten shots that I told them I didn't need. Now my kitten has Vet PTSD. 10/10 DEFINITELY DO NOT RECOMMEND this vet, especially the River Bend location, where this sham of an appointment occurred. read more

I'd really like to give a better review in all fairness I can't. I appreciate the care my animals get there but their ability to handle something as basic as phone calls is so sub standard, I may be forced to go elsewhere. On two occasions, I had to drive there just to get my questions answered because they wouldn't answer their phones. Both times I tried to call from 8:00am to noon. This morning I tried numerous times to make an appointment only to to have a recording say they were busy and automatically put me on hold. I'm done playing that game. read more

I am so sorry to read any negative commentts about Dr Fey and her staff. Every single time I have been to Dr Fey, the service has been extraordinary. I drive an hour to see her and would happily drive 3x that. I have always had my phone calls answered and or returned in a reasonable amount of time. Compared to prices for care in my town, Dr Fey is very reasonable. It's so easy to complain and be negative, which is so sad. I couldn't be happier and would recommend this clinic to anyone and everyone. read more
