Their location is very close to the Great Wolf lodge. Bryan was happy to show me the kennels upon request, Scott was kind enough to give us some tips on building our dog's confidence, and Gale was professional at all times. The presentation of the facility was clean, bright, and organized. The kennels are indoors with a platform that is attached to the wall. I can tell they spent a lot of time on their website as well, providing a plethora of info for you to indulge in should you have any questions. With that said, I do have some small qualms. I sent my dog's shot records as requested via email but I did not receive a confirmation of the receipt. When I called a couple days before our reservation to double check, I had learned that they did in fact receive my email but my dog did not have all his shot records present when I thought that he did. I was flustered at the thought of driving so far on the day of to potentially just getting rejected because we were missing information. Secondly, my dog definitely didn't use the potty enough. This may not have been at the fault of the trainers considering my guy probably held it in but he had thee longest pee of his life that I've ever seen after I picked him up. Since there's no knowing for sure how often supervision over potty breaks happen, my recommendation for all the first timers would be to not board your anxious dog. Overall we are satisfied with the experience.

I have a Yorkie/Maltese (14 1/2) and a Maltese (4) that I take in every four weeks. I also had a Yorkie/Maltese that passed four years ago that went here for years as well. They area also always on time with your animals and they will let you know that instead of two hours (for my two small dogs) it will be two hours and fifteen minutes that day. When I show up, they are ready at that time. I have been to groomers that would keep my girls for FIVE hours or more, and just tell you they will call you when your animal is ready. That's just ridiculous. Both of my girls get excited when I tell them I am taking them to the groomers. They used to shake when they would first come out of the carrier, but that was just due to the strange scents and what not. Now they come out wagging their tails and crawl right to Taylor and Joe. I am constantly asked where I take my girls because their grooming is so good. I HIGHLY recommend Calming Nature. You won't be disappointed. Yes their prices have gone up, but they did not raise their prices for the longest time AND they are still cheaper than any place anyone I know takes their dogs.That is NOT a reason to give them a bad review. They also have their cancellation policy posted, they are a business and have people wanting appointments. If you cancel last minute, they can't fill that appointment. A lot of places do the same thing whether it be salons or doctor offices. Remember, if it's your first time there it might take a few times to get exactly what you want if you are picky about what you like. Joe is so great about listening to what you like, or what you don't like and will implement it for you. I have asked him to try something new just to see if I would like it and realized I did not in fact like it at all. It just ended with a "let's not do that again." Just be honest and if you don't like something and let him know if you do.

LOVELY SERVICE AT A GREAT PRICE…read more If you own a #dog and you find that it's too much paying $56 USD for a pet hotel where spaces include a TV, antlers chandeliers and chefs to feed peanut butter to your dog, this is the place for you. When we have to travel and we want @ewokyorkiepoo to be taken care of, we go to Nelly's Ark. The boarding price is very reasonable ($17 USD per night) and they seem to have a very good control of their customers. The spaces for the dogs are separated by size of they'll feed either what you bring or what you ask them too. OUTDOORS This property sits in a semi-rural area, yet close to I-5, so you'll find that they take the pets out to the large, natural grass area in the back... Where they can experience outdoors for 15 minutes a day. Outdoors in the #PNW has a different meaning for different people, even for dogs. It's #outdoors nonetheless. RESERVATIONS With a large all-season all-inclusive waterpark resort such as Great Wolf Lodge a couple of minutes away, finding a spot takes time. Make sure you make your reservation in advance and remember to bring your dogs vaccination records! SERVICE It seems that only dogs are accepted, but there's an extremely friendly cat that will greet you at the lobby...
