These wings walk out like they're already tired. First bite: meh Second bite: meh Third bite: meh meh meh meh meh Not bad. Not offensive. Just... present. Emotionally unavailable. The culinary equivalent of a shrug. The sauce used to yell. Now it politely clears its throat. The wings used to pop. Now they sigh. Nothing is wrong--and that's the problem. You keep eating, waiting for the old magic to show up like: "Okay... any second now..." But no. The seagulls never arrive. Just a quiet chorus of meh echoing with each chew. Are they terrible? No. Are they what they used to be? Absolutely not. This is wings that remember being great and now collect nostalgia instead of flavor. Final verdict: 3 stars. Meh... takeout takes forever and it seems like a bother to get someone to help get your food. And if you show up when they tell you to for your food it will be another 15-20 minutes before its ready. Food is consistently undercooked or just missing items. Every time I get takeout I'm missing something. Fries are soggy, chicken has been undercooked, pizza has been undercooked. Prices are good but that's about it. There's better places to eat read more

Wings were very good but we ordered a Stromboli and it literally was missing the cheese. It was ham and pepperoni only. The menu states ham, pepperoni, cheese and that's what we expected. Very disappointed. Everyone knows cheese is a main ingredient in Stromboli and on pizza. read more

Rivals - Missing cheese - Sports Bars Near Me - Williamsport, Pennsylvania

I have been eating at Rival's for many years. It is a sports bar with lively patrons when exciting games are happening. The servers are attentive and quick to refill drinks. I have always had delicious meals there. The Friday evening special is amazing- fried haddock, creamy mac and cheese and coleslaw. Some other favorites are their signature salads, wings, fresh cut fries and wood fired pizzas. Try it, you'll love it! Next time I'll post a picture. read more

I'm craving for burger and hubby wanted some wings so we came to this place on a Sunday afternoon. The ambiance is very welcoming, has quite a few TV's and the waitresses are all very friendly. Hubby had the Southern Dynamite & Garlic Parmesan wings, both ain't too bad but nothing to write home about. I had the Spartan burger in medium but came out more like medium well, it's a good size burger and everything is fresh but I guess they are short on salt or any kind of seasoning cause it's pretty bland. Probably will go elsewhere when I'm in the mood for burger next time. read more

I've been to Rivals often but I ordered sweet potato fries the last time. I've never ordered them before and boy am I sorry I waited. There are crisp on the outside smooth on the inside and so delicious that I had to order them again to take home. Their food is outstanding and well worth the visit. read more

Loved the chicken Caesar salad. It's chopped up nicely and the dressing is good. The wings are also delicious (great ranch). Fast delivery.

The food at Rivals is your typical Williamsport, PA bar food. Last nights dinner was good. Its an "ok" place to go on a Friday night. The wings were good, I highly recommend the Champagne Mustard sauce. Was slightly disappointed with the pizza. It is not as good as it used to be. They need to bring back the prime rib and blue cheese (I think it was called black and blue). The crust was dry and it didn't taste like "pizza oven" pizza. I only give Rivals 2 stars because the interior decor is very unappealing. The tables and chairs are from the 80's, its not one bit comfortable to sit in and it looks dirty. The layout of the restaurant is disorganized and haphazard. Worst part is that the bathrooms are downright disgusting. The owners need to invest back into the business otherwise, we wont be back. Lots of better choices for dining out in Williamsport. read more

I have been there three times in the last couple years and every time I come here I get wings as I have been coming here since they opened. It's turning in to a complete joke. The last three times the wings were cold and we had to send them back. Tonight again I haven't been here in months and was very reluctant to go but we went and even asked the waitress to make sure they were hot. That was a waste of time and completely disregarded. What is so hard about serving food hot when someone is traveling and looking for a hot meal. They have really low standards with the staff. I said something to the waitress and I got for a reason that they wait staff is short staffed and so by that what am I to think? Are the waitresses cooking too? Lol! It was lame excuse after lame excuse and she was ready to quit 2 weeks after she started and it's not an easy place to work. OMG!!! What the hell is this? This is an answer to satisfy a dissatisfied customer. This place is a joke! Stay away! Seems like the only ones that come here are the local beer crowd!!! When we got there some guy comes over as two of us are standing in the door only and he asks," How many?" and he clears off a table and never comes back. Then someone else comes over. The place is too loud so it is hard to hear the wait staff let alone hear each other. What blew me away is we complain about the food and no discount no nothing. The one guy seemed to not even care that the food was cold and that makes the service look really bad in my eyes. If the employees don't care and that is the image you want to portray for your business the only thing I am gonna bet on is the pool on how long your business will last! They get busy on a football Sunday. We waited 20 minutes as we knew they were busy. Made eye contact with two servers that completely ignored us. Seems like the locals like it but be prepared for no service. We left after the second server walked passed us and avoided eye contact so she wouldn't have to serve another table. read more

Food was good. Waitress was off...as we were going around the tables ordering drinks she was like "don't tell me you're ordering water too" to the last person. She was off...seemed forgetful and like she had something better to be doing. I was in Williamsport for work, and a couple co-workers took me out to lunch at rivals. They all told me there were known for their wings, but because I am watching what I eat I didn't get any. I probably should have, but I for a turkey wrap instead. The wrap wasn't bad but my co-workers wings looked way better. The service we got that day was subpar at best. We keep asking for things but she never brought them or when she did it was too late. She had no sense of urgency and that sucked for us because we were on lunch. It wasn't too busy when we got there, but for some reason the food took forever to come out. Not sure if I would visit them again because of the service and time it took to get our food. read more

I had ordered a Stromboli and my wife ordered a sandwich they accidentally put cheese on my Stromboli because I asked for none. They took a little while to bring up my food and fries but they gave me the fries at no cost and replace much from Stromboli because I asked for no cheese. read more

The worst carry out service in the city. They will tell you it will be ready in 20 minutes, and you will have to wait an extra 45 minutes. Ive experienced this 4 different times. Excellent menu, especially the wings. I have learned to order my wings plain with the sauce on the side, that way you can control how much sauce you want, by dipping them individually. I absolutely love the "champaign mustered" sauce - yummy. I've had sandwiches, wraps, salads, pizza, probably a good variety of their menu and everything was great! read more

Wings finished off in their oven ("wood fired" oven I believe it was stated in the menu) were fantastic. Really, really great wings. Loved the Southern BBQ sauce and other sweet and spicy sauce of which the name now alludes me. Friendly staff. The draught beer selection was pretty weak, especially compared to many other places in the area. I dropped it two stars because of the the draught beer selection, the lack of atmosphere for a Monday Night Football game and the relatively outdated feel of the place. Seemed like it would've worked well on the late 90's. And the TV I happened to be facing had a broken screen. I finished my wings and left to go elsewhere to watch the football game for some atmosphere. I'm guessing it being Monday night had some part in it. Went to rivals for dinner to watch the game and have a drink. The wings were greasy and the "GOURMET" sauces were off!! The hot tasted like generic hot sauce and the honey mustard were swimming in goop..Also tried the wood fired pizza and to be 1000% honest chef boyardee puts that tasteless soggy run of the mill pizza to shame... dont be lured by wood fired as they cant even make the crust crispy and the sauce is bland ,canned junk!!!! read more

The wings are alright they taste better when finished in the wood burning oven. This is the only reason why i gave them 2 stars. We had 2 personal pizza which to say the least were under cooked with the cheese barley melted on top. But the mixture of cheddar and mozzarella is a horrible combination. The fresh cut fries i had with my wings were also under cooked. The service was ok the atmosphere was loud but to be expected. I used to love this place so I'm shocked about having to write this. We walked in and had a short wait, which is okay, and as we stood there two waitresses stood near us and stated "it's so much fun pissing customers off because then we can get even with them." Highly inappropriate!! When we got a table the waitress started off with an attitude. She acted as if our table ruined her night. She screwed up the drinks and ignored us. She, and the waitress helping, were very rude and the kitchen screwed up the orders. She only filled drinks once and getting her attention was a chore. She ignored my spouse three times. We went to Rivals tonight has my daughter was visiting ... I had wings and they were amazing... However my husband had chicken fingers and they burned ... Only had 2 pieces and they were dark and hard... His French fries were not done... My daughter had ham cosmo ...TERRIBLE.. hardly no cheese ... 2 small tomatoes and a couple pieces of onions ... and her fries were not done...we asked for new fries and they brought us some other kind of fries... and charged us.... I was so disappointed as we have heard great things about there food... However we had a great server ...
