As an Assisted living center I feel they are good. The management of aides needs significant work,…read morelikewise, during my time working there the memory care unit (Laurel Hall) had significant and profound issues that went unaddressed. They were not unaddressed because of the people who worked in assisted living but more because the larger organization lacks a comprehensive vision of senior care. The Wesleyan has the possibility to be an exceptional community but the lack of education for staffing, the lack of an integrated community understanding of senior care, the wagging of the entire vision of the community by the finance office has deadened the significant impact on resident care. As a non-profit the failure to be creatively engaged in their community by reshaping their board and advanced engagement in the community through education on senior care set them alongside all other senior communities with little or nothing unique or interesting. If you choose to use their service you will be safe, fed and sheltered and have a number of other activities but nothing uniquely special that sets them apart from all the other facilities and retirement centers.

"They treat us so well", "The staff is so good to us, we love living here", "Staff members are always smiling", "They take us where we need to go", etc... I have only been an employee for a very short time, but I can tell that I'm blessed for being hired, the Administration and employees are very kind and welcoming. The kitchen/culinary staff do make some good food! The facilities are extremely clean and quite nice, very comfortable. There is a lot going on as far as activities as well. I feel that anyone living in one of their facilities is blessed.

It's 6 hours a day of education, great food, beds are very comfortable and the property doesn't make you feel confined. You can keep your cell and laptop, just not turned on in classes. You are set up with aftercare so you have a sustainable plan moving forward along with the tools to succeed where most don't. With over 40% of our nation addicted to some sort of substance and 60% of our country prescribed an Anxiety or Depression R/X, you don't need to feel bad about getting help. Scientists have proven addiction to alcohol is a destructive disease & there is treatment that can set you up for your new life. If it was Diabetes, or Cancer, you would get help immediately. Addiction is no different and doesn't care how old you are, the color of your skin, nor does it matter if you are a Doctor or Lawyer. I am surrounded by people of all sorts and you won't want to leave after 4 weeks, the path forward is clear by then but this will be something you have to work on for the rest of your life. Best Wishes to the Staff here & for the reader, it's a small investment for your future that you can do for yourself & your family..

We chose this center due to its reviews by Medicare as an acceptable, and close, center for my MIL's long term rehab care. First off, the administrator that came out to talk to us after choosing, was completely off the mark on what was promised vs what was delivered. Many things were "noted" and "would be taken care of on arrival" I would only assume to entice us to send my family member there. Once there.. the nursing staff were (and are) phenomenal. Kind, caring, empathetic, and helpful. The social coordinator, not so much. In fact, this guy was the worst person to have held any sort of customer facing position that you could have. Stated he was a former correctional officer and his demeanor showed. He was rude, sarcastic, talked over myself and my partner, spoke about topics that he was asked not to discuss multiple times, did not listen and only had the center's amount of money obtained from insurance in mind. Many times he would come back and restate things that had been discussed the previous day and act like it was the first he'd heard of them. He has NO business being in a place like this and only after escalating to the parent/operating company was his behavior even addressed. The general atmosphere at this center is one of "give me the money up front and then we might discuss your family's care". We had to even pay out of pocket for transportation (which we have never had to do before with any other time it had been used) only to potentially be reimbursed up to 60 days after. The administration did little to actually provide transparency or information about my MILs care, and only after MULTIPLE times and threats were we able to even get any semblance of response. Al in all, a horrible center. It didn't even smell clean. Will not be going back and warning everyone to stay away. Hopefully the good nursing staff can find a better place with a more reputable center.

I've worked here for a year now and I love the residents and this team! Looking forward to many…read moremore to come.
