I've been to Ritzy nails a countless amount of times and each experience has been equally dissatisfying. In my most recent visit I left extremely disappointed. For one, they were short staffed and rushed my pedicure. Secondly there is a sign in the store that says you can pay for services v.i.a Zelle to avoid an up charge fee when paying by card. I asked to pay by Zelle and was told that the process takes an hour, even though I use Zelle daily and know that cash can be sent instantly. They refused to let me pay by Zelle and still charged me the up charge fee even though I asked for it be waived. I left without tipping because I was disgusted with the service. Oh, by the way I spent $95 + a $2 up charge. read more

I decided to to Ritzy to get my nails done for my birthday. I don't usually get nails but my husband was treating me so I said why not. I asked for the first picture and I was told that I had to get gel to get it. I said okay (but I should have realized that it wasn't true). She proceeded to do my nails and the second picture is the end result. Not only were they not matte, (I wasn't sure of the process to make the black matte so I didn't question the process but the end result) but the green she chose was nothing close to the picture so I asked her not to put it on. After my nails were done, I realized that the wall of regular nail polish had the color green I wanted and she had only told me that I needed gel to make me pay about $20 more because it was obvious that I was ignorant. Because the woman doing my nails didn't seem to really understand me, I grew frustrated and against better judgement, I left and chalked it up to a loss. I decided to go to a salon a friend recommended so that they could fix just the shape and color of my nails. Even the nail techs there kept asking what horrible salon I went to. Less than a week later, Ritzy's base acrylic nail has fell off of my left hand and the nail on the middle finger of my right hand is also in the process of falling off. I'm appalled that $45 was wasted on beyond subpar work. I will not be attending this salon again nor referring others. Please go somewhere else. This place lacks professionals, professionalism, talent, consideration, quality and common sense. Long story short, there are tons of things to get from this salon. A headache for one, followed by a service person pretending to be blind and not see wrongdoing so now there's frustration. Then sadness, the realization that you've wasted your time and money and last regret that you ever set foot into this dingy, scam of a "nail salon". Knowing this place could still exist tomorrow makes me gag. They should just close. I paid for the pedi because my mani was a hot mess. Pics are posted. They made a new girl that they had to tell her she had to do the full pedicure before she started my toes and they said $45 and at the end charged me $52. She was inexperienced and they are a crap store I only went cause my regular salon down the street was full and told me to come back in an hour. I should have waited the hour. DON'T EVER GO HERE! I repeat. . . DON'T EVER GO THERE. Worlds worst nail techs on earth. They do not value your time they let people skip you and all of their nail polish is old and messed up... All they do is add acetone to the nail polish to try to make it last longer. The guy who was doing my nails used old nail polish (I got gel) and when I put my hand inside of the lights the Nail polish started to shrivel up all he did was add a clear and once he was done I didn't like it and I asked him to do it over and he got mad and did my nails terrible the nails were SUPPOSE to be coffen all of them look different and fat.Never giving them my money again. read more

This nail salon is located on a busy street so parking is hard to find. The service was great. I recieved a regular pedicure for $17 and she did a great job. I was so relaxed that I almost fell asleep. The polish is perfect as well. Three stars because their selection of nail polish is very outdated. read more

So I decided to give a chance at this salon for a second time because they did a nice job on my nails before. This time I got this man. I was getting one nail fix and new gel Polish. He started working on my nails when all of a sudden two ladies walked in so he had me go someone else cause he said they are asking for him. OK awkward and rude I didn't argue. Well to end the story my nails did not come out well done by this other guy. I learned that when you go to a salon for a gel Polish change they send to the worst worker. I will start off by saying yes the owner "Kelly" does a good job, but only if u can work around HER schedule. Her attitude leaves a lot to be desired. She is very snippy and rude. She gives off the attitude that you NEED her, and not that you are a customer spending your $$. There has been 3 incidents that transpired that turned me off completely from ever returning. 1. I called ahead and was told she had one person ahead, I get there 5 minutes later and am told that she has 3 ahead of me. Then argued with me that she NEVER said that. Guess I'm crazy! 2. An argument ensued btwn one of her techs and a patron because her nail repair went wrong. Patron got loud, and the tech told her get the f*ck out and called her a bitch. Kelly then proceeded to tell me how shes had to call the cops 3-4 times since opening in mid early 2016. She said when she work wit the white people they didn't give problems, and just pay and go. She said the black girls always arguing and giving too much attitude. I thought I'd be mad if my nail was messed up too!! After that I used Kelly as a last resort 3. I went with my daughter 2 wks ago for brows, and fill-ins. Kelly told me she was going to be hour and a half, so I told her I had errands and would come back at 3. She agreed, but then left at 2! I came back at 2:50, and the older man said she left hour earlier I may not get all the designs, and extras, but I'm a loyal customer. My money is green, and spends nicely at the shop at the other end of the block! I will NEVER refer anyone there again. I've gotten my nails done here twice since they've been open (I get gel and normally keep it for about 3 weeks) and both times my nails were done really well. Both times I went the nail techs took their time and it showed. I love that now I don't have to go all the way to the suburbs to get a good gel mani because the other salons on Central Ave rush through your nails when it's very busy (which is most of the time). The inside of this new nail salon is very pretty clean and nice I would have loved to go back but first impressions are everything and the work that was done on my nails was not great I hope they can gain some more experience and maybe I will consider going back in the future read more

The place is clean and nice. I believe because it's fairly new. I think they need more staff and maybe it wil get more stars. I went Sat morning and waited for 30mins before leaving. The problem was they're short staffed. It was only 1 person waiting to be serviced and 2 pedicurist. In total it was about 5 customers in the salon so I couldn't understand that wait time. I left & came back later in the evening & they didn't want to service me because he said they closed at 7:30 & they take their last customer at 7:00. IT WAS ONLY 6:45...., not to mention the guy knew I was coming from the am visit. Smh. read more
