I am more of a consignor with them than a shopper but have also bought a dozen things. I am not a label shopper. I really don't care who the original maker was if I like the look. But I know that they only take things with mid to upper end labels in them. I take a huge armful every few months and am treated with smiles and respect. Do I wish they'd take more of my items? Yes, they turn away some really nice things and there really isn't another option since Style on Green closed. Anyway, the store is too small to take too much - that's my only complaint. I left six dresses with them in May. The owner said she would email me a link to track my dresses when labels for them were made. I never received any correspondence from them. I recently called to follow-up, only to learn three of my dresses, including a Diane Von Furstenberg and a Twelfth Street By Cynthia Vincent, had been donated. I have no idea when they planned to pay me for the three dresses sold (which made me a whopping $26). I found their practices to be unprofessional, and I do not plan on bringing any items to them in the future. read more

I was looking for something fun and unique and was SO pleasantly surprised! Not only was the customer service absolutely fantabulous, the array of clothing, shoes, accessories, bags and such were all beautifully displayed and the place was so clean and had a great vibe. I have been shopping at the Ritz for more than 20 years! It is my one and only go-to place for resale/consignment in Pasadena or in Los Angeles for that matter. I hate shopping at department stores, too much blandness which is why I love the Ritz. They have a well edited, interesting selection of clothing, shoes, bags, etc. The owner, Jennifer understands that more is not better. I'm able to breeze in and out without sorting through lots of junk. Jennifer has something for everyone, well priced treasures for all. Sometimes The Ritz feels like a lovely salon where women hang out and play dress-up as they try to find this week's finds. I would hate for The Ritz to become too popular, since it has always been my secret shopping hang-out. read more

For quite some time now, ive been searching for a quality consignment shop in so-cal, and through a yelp search, I came across Ritz Resale. All the other reviews referred to it as "a hidden gem" and after visiting the shop today for the first time, I couldnt agree more! The selection was diverse/eclectic, high quality, and very well-priced. Nearly all the items looked brand-new! You could tell that the owner, a very friendly helpful lady, is selective regarding the items and has great taste. The brands range from luxury designers to retail brands like Banana Republic or Bebe. I rarely go consignment shopping, because I have a specific preference for eclectic, well-tailored clothes, and I ended up finding so many items I loved. I got a pair of Tory Burch sandals, J.Crew skirt, and was very close to getting a Missoni cardigan, all for a very fair price. There seems to be something for everybody at this shop. My only hesitation in writing this review is my reluctance to have others take the clothes I want! But the owner informed me that she receives new inventory quite frequently/everyday. I have been buying from and consigning with Jennifer for about five years. She has great taste and I almost always find a treasure when I stop in. If you want to consign definitely call first. She has hundreds of stylists and customers who consign with her so sometimes she gets busy and has no place to "store" your stuff. I usually give her a call when I have all of my stuff pressed and ready to go to see if she can see me. Then I bring everything to her and shop the store. Since I usually have a credit I just use that and then take the stuff she can't use back to my car. She takes all sizes of higher end stuff but I have also found Ann Taylor, Banana Republic and Lululemon in the store. I have personally bought Coach, Eileen Fisher, Vince and Elie Tahari. All of the best pieces in my wardrobe are from Jennifer. read more

Ritz resale is by far the worst customer service that I have ever experienced. The owner was not helpful at all and couldn't answer simple questions about his products. In addition, while I was shopping, the owner started yelling at people on the phone. Very unprofessional and I don't think I will be returning to this store anytime soon. read more

This clothing store is great. I have been buying clothes from here for years, and selling clothes from my closet for years. Cleaning out my closets and jewelry collection has helped to pay for a fun new wardrobe, it is a very worthwhile trade, and I get a cleared out closet at the same time! I went to drop off some clothes to consign and this is a great little shop. for those who are looking for top quality clothing - this is the place. The owners hand pick what they will sell (they only took one dress of mine as they want recent fashion within the past few year). I didn't have time to shop, but the shop was very clean and had a nice assortment of jewelry, shoes and purses, too. Worth the drive up to Sierra Madre/technically Pasadena. As a big fan of Ritz I just wanna share a heartwarming experience during one of my regular stops to check out what was new in the shop.. Jennifer's kind husband was welcoming everyone that walked thru the door..as he always does..but this past week he wanted to let everyone know that a charitable event called "treasures and Trivia" sponsored by Childerens Hospital was having a sale down the street with all proceeds going towards helping children in need of funding to assist in their medical expenses. Not only have I not heard another proprietor promote an event that anyone would want to be made aware of but to take the time to let others know when there was nothing other than a desire to do his part to make it as successful as possible just showed me how genuinely kind he is to do such a selfless act. They run a shop that is my favorite of its kind and I know a thing or 2 about this type of business as I have been shopping consignment stores almost solely for years. If your tired of being ignored or not feeling like you may have something special in mind but didn't feel like asking, this is the place for you. Consistently nice to any and all..I'd run to that kind of customer service before any of the places that don't seem to notice Ive walked thru the door.
